(1) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to do the servicing of the potable water system.
(4) For the location of this component, refer to paragraph Component Location
(Ref. AMM D/O 25-43-00-00).

(1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(2) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the water service panel to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
(4) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 25-43-00-00).

F. Get Access
(1) In the aft compartment:
(a) Remove the related passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the free-standing cabin-attendant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-42-000-001).
(c) Remove the panels as follows:
1 Remove the applicable ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
2 Remove the cove light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
3 Remove the upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
4 Remove the lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
5 Remove the door frame lining-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(2) In the lavatory:
(a) Remove the lavatory doors (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
(b) Remove the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(d) Remove emergency oxygen container 31WR (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
Subtask 25-43-41-010-077-J ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) In the aft compartment:

F. Get Access
(1) In the aft compartment:
(a) If necessary, remove the passenger seat(s) adjacent to the lavatory (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the wall-mounted Cabin Attendant Seat(s) (CAS) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(d) Remove these panels:
1 Applicable ceiling panel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
2 Applicable cove light panel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
3 Applicable upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
4 Applicable lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
5 Door-frame lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003).
(2) Remove the lavatory door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
(3) Remove emergency oxygen container [31WR] (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
(4) In the lavatory:
(a) Remove the toilet shroud and the seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(b) Remove the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
(c) If necessary, remove the related waste-water pipe heaters and insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-53-000-003).
(d) If necessary, remove the related potable-water pipe heaters and insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-53-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) In the aft compartment:
(a) If necessary, remove the passenger seat(s) adjacent to the lavatory (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the wall-mounted Cabin Attendant Seat(s) (CAS) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the curtain(s) and the curtain rail(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-26-41-000-003).
(d) Remove these panels:
1 Applicable ceiling panel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
2 Applicable cove light panel(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
3 Applicable upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
4 Applicable lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
5 Door-frame lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003).
(2) Remove the lavatory door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
(3) Remove emergency oxygen container [31WR] (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
(4) In the lavatory:
(a) Remove the toilet shroud and the seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(b) Remove the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
(c) If necessary, remove the related waste-water pipe heaters and insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-53-000-003).
(d) If necessary, remove the related potable-water pipe heaters and insulation (Ref. AMM TASK 30-73-53-000-001).
Subtask 25-43-41-930-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Marking of the Ventilation Connections, the Potable Water Connection and the Waste-Water Drain Connection
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
B. Removal of the Pelmet
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the bolt (1) and the washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(4) Remove the screws (5) and the pelmet (4).
Subtask 25-43-41-020-077-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the bolt (1) and the washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(4) Remove the screws (5) and the pelmet (4).
B. Removal of the Pelmet
(1) Remove the screw (1) and the washer (2), then disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(2) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(3) Loosen the screws (5) and pull the pelmet (4) away from the lavatory.
(4) Remove the pelmet (4).
Subtask 25-43-41-020-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the screw (1) and the washer (2), then disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(2) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(3) Loosen the screws (5) and pull the pelmet (4) away from the lavatory.
(4) Remove the pelmet (4).
C. Removal of the Electrical Connections
(1) Cut and discard the tie wraps (4).
(2) Disconnect electrical connectors 7195VC-A (1) and 7197VC-A (2).
(3) Release the electrical harnesses (3).
(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(5) Safety the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the aircraft structure.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Cut and discard the tie wraps (4).
(2) Disconnect electrical connectors 7195VC-A (1) and 7197VC-A (2).
(3) Release the electrical harnesses (3).
(4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(5) Safety the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the aircraft structure.
D. Removal of the Air Connections
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air extraction hose (3) from the tube (1).
(3) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(4) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-080-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air extraction hose (3) from the tube (1).
(3) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(4) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
E. Removal of the Water Connections
(2) Disconnect the potable water connection as follows:
(a) Remove the nuts (2), bolts (1) and washers (3) and disconnect the bonding straps (4).
(b) Loosen the nut (16) and disconnect the potable water hose (14) from the tube (15).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
(b) Remove the clamp (12).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the vacuum drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (8) and move the sleeve (7) from the vacuum waste line (5).
(b) Disconnect the vacuum waste line (5) from the vacuum waste tube (10).
(c) Remove and discard the O-rings (6) and (9).
(d) Remove the sleeve (7).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION. (CONTAMINATION FROM TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH).
WARNING:
ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN PERFORMING TASK ON WASTE SYSTEM.
(1) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) in position below the water connections that you will disconnect. (2) Disconnect the potable water connection as follows:
(a) Remove the nuts (2), bolts (1) and washers (3) and disconnect the bonding straps (4).
(b) Loosen the nut (16) and disconnect the potable water hose (14) from the tube (15).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARK ON THE WASTE WATER AND AIR OUTLET HOSES AND ON THEIR RELATED CONNECTIONS.
IF YOU CONNECT ONE OF THESE HOSES TO THE CONNECTION OF THE OTHER HOSE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Loosen the clamp (12) and disconnect the drain tube (13) from the pipe (11). (b) Remove the clamp (12).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the vacuum drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (8) and move the sleeve (7) from the vacuum waste line (5).
(b) Disconnect the vacuum waste line (5) from the vacuum waste tube (10).
(c) Remove and discard the O-rings (6) and (9).
(d) Remove the sleeve (7).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
F. Removal of the Upper Attachment
(1) Hold the tie-rod (2) in position and remove the quick-release pins (1) and (5).
(2) Remove the tie-rod (2).
Subtask 25-43-41-020-079-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Hold the tie-rod (2) in position and remove the quick-release pins (1) and (5).
(2) Remove the tie-rod (2).
G. Removal of the Air Connections
(1) Disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) from the tube (3).
(b) Remove the clamp (2).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(d) If necessary, safety the air-extraction hose (1) to the lavatory structure.
(e) If necessary, safety the tube (3) to the aircraft structure.
(2) Disconnect the ventilation hose (4) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(b) Remove the clamp (5).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(d) If necessary, safety the tube (6) to the aircraft structure.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-080-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) from the tube (3).
(b) Remove the clamp (2).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(d) If necessary, safety the air-extraction hose (1) to the lavatory structure.
(e) If necessary, safety the tube (3) to the aircraft structure.
(2) Disconnect the ventilation hose (4) as follows:
(a) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(b) Remove the clamp (5).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(d) If necessary, safety the tube (6) to the aircraft structure.
H. Removal of the Water Connections
(a) If the nuts (5) and the washers (4) are installed, remove them.
(b) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (3).
(c) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the lavatory structure.
(2) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) in position below the water connections that you will disconnect.
(3) Disconnect the potable water connection as follows:
(b) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
(b) Remove the clamp (8).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the vacuum waste connection as follows:
(b) Remove the clamps (15) and move the sleeves (16) to the direction of the vacuum waste hose (6).
(c) Disconnect the vacuum waste hose (6) from the vacuum waste tubes (13) and (17).
(d) Remove and discard the O-rings (14).
(e) Remove the sleeves (16).
(f) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-43-41-020-081-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME.
THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
(1) Disconnect the bonding straps (3) as follows: (a) If the nuts (5) and the washers (4) are installed, remove them.
(b) Remove the bolts (1) and the washers (2), then disconnect the bonding straps (3).
(c) Safety the bonding straps (3) to the lavatory structure.
(2) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) in position below the water connections that you will disconnect.
(3) Disconnect the potable water connection as follows:
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED. A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS WHEN THEY DO WORK ON IT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION. (CONTAMINATION FROM TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH).
(a) Loosen the nut (12) and disconnect the potable water hose (10) from the end fitting of the tube (11). (b) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
(a) Loosen the clamp (8) and disconnect the waste-water drain hose (7) from the waste-water drain tube (9). - ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
(b) Remove the clamp (8).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(5) Remove the vacuum waste connection as follows:
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU REMOVE A COMPONENT OF THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, ALWAYS DISINFECT THE PART BEFORE YOU PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BAG, THEN SEAL THE BAG.
DO NOT PUT DOCUMENTS INTO THE PLASTIC BAG. SEAL THE BAG FIRST,THEN ATTACH THE DOCUMENTS TO IT.
THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION OR ILLNESS. CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
(a) Use the BAG - PLASTIC to keep the vacuum-waste line components. (b) Remove the clamps (15) and move the sleeves (16) to the direction of the vacuum waste hose (6).
(c) Disconnect the vacuum waste hose (6) from the vacuum waste tubes (13) and (17).
(d) Remove and discard the O-rings (14).
(e) Remove the sleeves (16).
(f) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
I. Removal of the Upper Attachments
(1) Hold the tie-rods (3) and (7) in position and remove the quick-release pins (4), (5), (6) and (9).
(2) Remove the tie-rods (3) and (7).

J. Removal of the Door Sill
(1) Remove the sealant with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Remove the screws (1) and the door sill (2).
(3) If necessary, remove the spacer (3).

(2) Remove the screws (1) and the door sill (2).

K. Removal of the Lower Attachments
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the covers (6).
(3) Remove the protection wax from the screws (1) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(4) Remove the screws (1).
(5) Remove the washers (2) and (3), then the eccentric bushings (4) and (5).
(7) Remove the bushes (7).
(8) Remove and discard the packings (8).
Subtask 25-43-41-020-083-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the covers (6).
(3) Remove the protection wax from the screws (1) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(4) Remove the screws (1).
(5) Remove the washers (2) and (3), then the eccentric bushings (4) and (5).
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU MOVE A HEAVY COMPONENT, DO NOT PUSH IT ALONG THE CABIN FLOOR OR LET IT RUB AGAINST THE FLOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AND/OR THE COMPONENT.
(6) Lift and move the lavatory assembly to the aft utility area. (7) Remove the bushes (7).
(8) Remove and discard the packings (8).
L. Lavatory Disassembly

(1) For the disassembly of the lavatory refer to the manufacturer's Component Maintenance Manual M. Removal of the Lower Attachments
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the screws (12) and the kickstrip (11).
(3) Remove the screws (10) and the fitting (9).
(4) Remove the protection wax from the screws (1) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(5) Remove the screws (1).
(6) If the washers (2) are installed, remove them.
(7) Remove the washers (3) and the eccentric bushings (4) and (5).
(9) Remove the bushes (7).
(10) Remove and discard the packings (8).

N. Disassembly of the Lavatory

(2) If necessary, put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
WARNING:
YOU MUST MAKE SURE THAT YOU CAN HOLD THE COMPONENT BEFORE YOU REMOVE/INSTALL IT. THE COMPONENT IS HEAVY. IF IT FALLS, IT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
