   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at the related passenger/crew door.
   (2) Open the related passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).

   (1) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

C. Removal of the Components
   (1) Remove the door-frame lining panels of the related door.
     (a) For the left FWD passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005).
     (b) For the right FWD passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002).
     (c) For the left aft passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003).
     (d) For the right aft passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
   (2) Remove the door lining panels of the related door.
     (a) For the FWD passenger/crew doors (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).

A.

(1) Do a visual inspection of
the external surface of the
door skin:
(a) For the FWD passenger/crew door:
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-00-210-002)
(b) For the aft passenger/crew door:
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-00-210-002).

(2) Do a visual inspection of:
- The door circumference for
distortion, cracks or tearing
- The door seal retainer
- The girt bar.

(3) Do a visual inspection of the
fuselage structure for distortion,
cracks or tearing of frame fitting.

If you find damage:

(a) Do a structural repair:
- For the door:
SRM 521000
- For the fuselage:
SRM 530000.

(b) Do the detailed inspection
without removal (item 2).

Do a check of the opening and
closing of the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).

(1) Make sure that there are no
unusual noises or hard points.







(2) Make sure that the guide arms
move freely.







If you find damage:
Do the detailed inspection without
removal (item 2).

C.

Do a check of the peripheral clearance
and out-of-flushness between the door
edge and the frame panel. Do this
this check from the outside while
the door is closed:

(1) For the FWD passenger/crew door
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-00-820-001).







(2) For the aft passenger/crew door
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-00-820-001).







If you find damage:
Do the detailed inspection without
removal (item 2).

Do a check of the escape-slide
release mechanism to make sure that:
  • There are no unusual noises or hard
    points.
  • The handle moves freely.

If you find damage:







(1) Do a detailed visual inspection
of the release mechanism of the
emergency escape slide of the
passenger/crew door:
(a) For the FWD passenger/crew door:
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-22-220-001)

(b) For the aft passenger/crew door:
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-22-220-001).

Examine the support arm:

(1) Make sure that there are no
cracks, distortion or damaged
paint.







(2) Examine the condition of the
connection links on the door side,
for distortion or damaged paint.







If you find damage:

(a) Do a detailed visual inspection
of the door suspension mechanism:
- For the FWD passenger/crew door
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-12-220-001)

- For the aft passenger/crew door
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-12-220-001).

(b) Do the detailed inspection with
removal (item 3).

Examine the guide arms:

(1) Make sure that there is no
wrinkling on the upper and lower
guide arms.







(2) Examine the fitting that attaches
the guide arm to the frame side
for distortion or damaged
fasteners.







(3) On the door side, examine the
guide-arm attachment fitting for
tearing.







If you find damage:
Do the detailed inspection with
removal (item 3).

Examine the fuselage support-arm
fittings:

(1) Examine the fittings that
attach the support arm to the
door frame.
Make sure that there is no
distortion, damaged fasteners or
bearing migration.







If you find bearing migration
or damage:
  • Contact Airbus.

Detailed Inspection with Removal
NOTE: These inspections are applicable
if you found damage during
the detailed inspection
without removal (item 2).

Remove the door:

Door Inspection
Do a visual inspection of the door
inner structure (specially at the
frame and beam that attach the
support arm, the support arm and the
guide arm fittings). Do a visual
inspection of the mechanism
(Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-00-200-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-13-00-200-002).

(1) Remove the door suspension:

buckling.
