(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (49).
(2) Remove the nut (48) and the washer (50).
(3) Remove the bolt (42), the lock washer (53) and the spacer (51).
(4) Disengage the telescopic rod (52) from the eye bolt (37) and fold it back to the support arm (40).
(5) Remove the eye bolt (37).
(a) Remove the cotter pin (31).
(b) Remove the nuts (32) and the washer (33).
(c) Remove the nuts (39) and the bolts (34).
(d) Remove the flange (38).
(e) Remove the eye bolt (37) together with the washer (36) and the bush (35).

Removal of the Forward Passenger/Crew Door
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

B. Get Access
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-11-11-865-050-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at forward passenger crew/door 831 or 841. - KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

D. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the escape-slide pack-assembly:
(a) For the left door:
(a) Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door lining-panels details (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-52-00).
(3) Remove the door insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
Subtask 52-11-11-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the escape-slide pack-assembly:
(a) For the left door:
- If installed, remove the left escape-slide pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002).
- If installed, remove the right escape-slide pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
(a) Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door lining-panels details (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-52-00).
(3) Remove the door insulation blankets (Ref. AMM TASK 25-80-00-000-001).
D. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
Subtask 52-11-11-420-052-B (1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
- If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
- If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804).
NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door lining panels details (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-52-00).
(3) Remove the door insulation blankets. E. Installation of the Sling
(1) Remove and discard the two self-adhesive patches (3) from the door hoisting points.
(2) Remove the two blanking plugs (1) from the door hoisting points.
(3) Remove the door hoist fittings (2) from the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the door hoist fittings (2) in the door hoisting points.
(5) Put the door in the up position.
(6) Install the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) on the door hoist fittings (2).
(7) If necessary, adjust the cable tension regulator to balance the door.
(8) Lift the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) to remove the weight of the door from the door suspension.
4. Procedure(1) Remove and discard the two self-adhesive patches (3) from the door hoisting points.
(2) Remove the two blanking plugs (1) from the door hoisting points.
(3) Remove the door hoist fittings (2) from the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the door hoist fittings (2) in the door hoisting points.
(5) Put the door in the up position.
(6) Install the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) on the door hoist fittings (2).
(7) If necessary, adjust the cable tension regulator to balance the door.
(8) Lift the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) to remove the weight of the door from the door suspension.
Subtask 52-11-11-020-053-A
A. Disconnection of the Electrical Harness
(1) On the frame, disconnect connector 2819VC from the left side or connector 2818VC from the right side.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) On the support arm (40), remove the attachment clamps from the cable sheaths.
Subtask 52-11-11-020-054-A (1) On the frame, disconnect connector 2819VC from the left side or connector 2818VC from the right side.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) On the support arm (40), remove the attachment clamps from the cable sheaths.
B. Disconnection of the Upper and Lower Guide Arms
(1) Disconnect the guide arms from the door side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-12-000-003).
Subtask 52-11-11-020-055-B (1) Disconnect the guide arms from the door side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-12-000-003).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
C. Disconnection of the Door Damper and the Emergency Operation Cylinder (1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (49).
(2) Remove the nut (48) and the washer (50).
(3) Remove the bolt (42), the lock washer (53) and the spacer (51).
(4) Disengage the telescopic rod (52) from the eye bolt (37) and fold it back to the support arm (40).
(5) Remove the eye bolt (37).
(a) Remove the cotter pin (31).
(b) Remove the nuts (32) and the washer (33).
(c) Remove the nuts (39) and the bolts (34).
(d) Remove the flange (38).
(e) Remove the eye bolt (37) together with the washer (36) and the bush (35).
D. Disconnection of the Support Arms
(1) Remove the screws (66) and the washers (67).
(2) Disconnect the bonding leads (68).
(4) Remove the nuts (70) and the washers (71).
(5) Make sure that the bolts (63) move smoothly.
(6) Adjust the tension of the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10), if necessary.
(7) Remove the bolts (63), the washers (62), the spacers (73) and the washer sets (64) from the connection links (61).
(8) Disengage and remove the door assembly from the upper and lower connection links (61) with the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
Subtask 52-11-11-020-056-B (1) Remove the screws (66) and the washers (67).
(2) Disconnect the bonding leads (68).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(3) Remove and discard the cotter pins (69). (4) Remove the nuts (70) and the washers (71).
(5) Make sure that the bolts (63) move smoothly.
(6) Adjust the tension of the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10), if necessary.
(7) Remove the bolts (63), the washers (62), the spacers (73) and the washer sets (64) from the connection links (61).
(8) Disengage and remove the door assembly from the upper and lower connection links (61) with the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
E. Removal of the Sling
(1) Remove the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) from the door hoist fittings (2).
(2) Remove the door hoist fittings (2) from the door.
(3) Attach the door hoist fittings (2) to the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the two blanking plugs (1) in the hoisting points.
5. Close-up(1) Remove the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) from the door hoist fittings (2).
(2) Remove the door hoist fittings (2) from the door.
(3) Attach the door hoist fittings (2) to the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the two blanking plugs (1) in the hoisting points.

A. Installation of the Safety Barrier
(1) Install the 98D52003003002 SAFETY BARRIER KIT 4 in the opening of the removed door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-00-00-481-001).
