Subtask 52-00-00-481-050-A
(1) For doors 831 and 841, install the 98D52003009000 SAFETY BARRIER FWD PAX DOOR (4) in the opening of the removed doors as follows:
(a) Put the safety barrier (4) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
(c) Pull the release knob (3) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (2) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 2, 5 and 6.
(g) Extend the sling loops (5) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (4).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (4) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (3) is in the locked position.
(j) Make sure that:
(a) Put the safety barrier (9) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
(c) Pull the release knob (8) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (7) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 3, 5 and 6.
(g) Extend the sling loops (10) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (9).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (9) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (8) is in the locked position.
(j) Make sure that:

(1) For doors 834, 844 and 843, install the 98D52003009002 SAFETY BARRIER EMERGECY DOORS EXCEPT FWD LEFT (23) in the opening of the removed doors as follows:
(a) Put the safety barrier (23) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
(c) Pull the release knob (22) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (21) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 4, 6 and 8.
(g) Extend the sling loops (24) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (23).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (23) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (22) is in the locked position.
(j) Make sure that:
(a) Put the safety barrier (28) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
(c) Pull the release knob (27) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (26) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 2.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 4, 6 and 8.
(g) Extend the sling loops (29) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (28).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (28) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (27) is in the locked position.

Installation of the Safety Barrier
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
- KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

A. Get access to the passenger/crew door.
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at passenger/crew door 831, 841, 832 or 842.
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the safety precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-00-00-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at passenger/crew door 831, 841, 832 or 842.
(2) Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the safety precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
B. Get access to the emergency exit door.
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at emergency exit door 833, 834, 843 or 844.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the safety precautions before you start the work on the emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position at emergency exit door 833, 834, 843 or 844.
(2) Open the applicable emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-002).
(3) Obey the safety precautions before you start the work on the emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-003).

BEFORE YOU INSTALL/REMOVE THE GSE-TOOL, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE APPLICABLE GSE INSTRUCTION MANUAL. WHILE YOU OPERATE THIS TOOL, CAREFULLY OBEY THEM. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
A. Installation of the Safety Barrier in the Passenger/Crew Door Frame(1) For doors 831 and 841, install the 98D52003009000 SAFETY BARRIER FWD PAX DOOR (4) in the opening of the removed doors as follows:
(a) Put the safety barrier (4) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
- Door stop fitting 1
- Door stop fitting 2
- Door stop fitting 5
- Door stop fitting 6.
(c) Pull the release knob (3) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (2) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 2, 5 and 6.
(g) Extend the sling loops (5) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (4).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (4) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (3) is in the locked position.
(j) Make sure that:
- The arrows of the UP indications point up, and
- You can read the INSIDE indication from the inside of the aircraft.
(a) Put the safety barrier (9) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
- Door stop fitting 1
- Door stop fitting 3
- Door stop fitting 5
- Door stop fitting 6.
(c) Pull the release knob (8) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (7) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
(f) Do steps (b) thru (e) again for door stop fittings 3, 5 and 6.
(g) Extend the sling loops (10) to adjust the length of the safety barrier (9).
(h) Make sure that the safety barrier (9) does not move.
(i) Make sure that the release knob (8) is in the locked position.
(j) Make sure that:
- The arrows of the UP indications point up, and
- You can read the INSIDE indication from the inside of the aircraft.

B. Installation of the Safety Barrier in the Emergency-Exit Door Frame (1) For doors 834, 844 and 843, install the 98D52003009002 SAFETY BARRIER EMERGECY DOORS EXCEPT FWD LEFT (23) in the opening of the removed doors as follows:
(a) Put the safety barrier (23) in position on the door stop fittings that follow:
- Door stop fitting 1
- Door stop fitting 4
- Door stop fitting 6
- Door stop fitting 8.
(c) Pull the release knob (22) to lock it.
(d) Push and release the sliding end (21) in the door stop fitting which is opposite to door stop fitting 1.
(e) Make sure the bar is attached and does not move.
