A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the related passenger/crew door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).

A. Special Precautions
(1) Loosen the knurled screw (1) until you can move the striker lever (4).
(2) Put the percussion mechanism of the door damper and emergency operation cylinder in its ARMED position as follows:
(b) Move the striker lever (4) against the spring of the valve guide (5) to its fully extended position and hold it.
(c) Tighten the knurled screw (1).
(d) Make sure that the recess of the knurled screw (1) can fully engage in the rear bore of the striker lever (4).
(e) Safety the knurled screw (1) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - on the lever pin (6).
(f) Remove the 701-2978000 PIN-SAFETY, PAX DOOR DAMPER (2) from the percussion housing (3).
5. Close-up(1) Loosen the knurled screw (1) until you can move the striker lever (4).
(2) Put the percussion mechanism of the door damper and emergency operation cylinder in its ARMED position as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE STRIKER LEVER IS FULLY EXTENDED AND THAT THE KNURLED NUT TOUCHES THE END OF THE LEVER SLOT. A DIFFERENT POSITION WILL PREVENT THE CORRECT OPERATION OF THE DOOR DAMPER AND EMERGENCY OPERATION CYLINDER IN THE EMERGENCY MODE.
(a) Make sure that the striker lever (4) aligns with the flanged nut of the valve guide (5). (b) Move the striker lever (4) against the spring of the valve guide (5) to its fully extended position and hold it.
(c) Tighten the knurled screw (1).
(d) Make sure that the recess of the knurled screw (1) can fully engage in the rear bore of the striker lever (4).
(e) Safety the knurled screw (1) with the

C. Close Access
(1) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING from the emergency control handle and replace it with the on-board safety pin (D52110801000).
(2) Close the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).

Arming and Disarming of the Striker Lever of the Door Damper and Emergency Operation Cylinder
