3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-23-46-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) For 831DZ and 841DZ:
     (a) Make sure that the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-21-000-001) and the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-22-000-001) are removed.
Subtask 25-23-46-860-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the cabin escape facilities are removed:
     (a) For 831AZ:
Remove the left escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002) or the left escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM D/O 25-62-44-00).
     (b) For 841AZ:
Remove the right escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802) or the right escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM D/O 25-62-44-00).
   (3) For 831DZ ( 841DZ):
     (a) Make sure that the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-21-000-001) and the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-22-000-001) are removed from the lining.

4. Procedure
WARNING: BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
  • THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
  • THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, THE DOOR CAN OPEN WITH FORCE OR THE ESCAPE SLIDE CAN DEPLOY SUDDENLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that all placards of the retained/new components are in the correct position and in good condition.
   (4) If necessary install new placards, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-002) and (Ref. AMM D/O 11-32-25-00)
Subtask 25-23-46-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Linings
   (1) Install lining 831AZ ( 841AZ) (11):
     (a) Engage the lining (11) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
   (2) Install lining 831BZ ( 841BZ) (10):
     (a) Engage the lining (10) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Make sure that you can move the door window shade correctly.
   (3) Install lining 831CZ ( 841CZ) (1):
     (a) Remove the safety pin (29).
     (b) Engage the lining (1) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (c) Install the safety pin (29).
     (d) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (e) Tighten the screws (4).
     (f) Install the screw (16).
     (g) Put the handle plate (19) and the washer (18) into position on the emergency control handle (17).
     (h) Make sure that handle plate (19) and the washer (18) are in the correct position.
     (i) Install the nut (20).
     (j) TORQUE the nut (20) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ) T.
NOTE: The handle plate (19) is correctly installed, if the emergency control handle (17) retracts into the recess of the door panel.
     (k) Move the emergency control handle (17) to the armed position.
   (4) Install lining
831DZ ( 841DZ) (12):
     (a) Engage the lining (12) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Install the handgrip (26).
       1 Put the lining (28) in position.
       2 Install the spacer (27), handgrip (26), washers (24) and screws (23) and (25).
       3 TORQUE the screws (23) and (25) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in ) T.
       4 Install the grip cover (21) on the handgrip (26).
       5 Make sure that you hear a click when the lugs (22) engage correctly into the grip cover (21).
   (5) Install lining
831EZ ( 841EZ) (2):
     (a) Engage the lining (2) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
   (6) Install lining 831GZ ( 841GZ) (9):
     (a) Put the lining (9) in position and install the pin (5).
     (b) Safety the pin (5) with a new AIPC 25-23-01-01-200 COTTER PIN (6) or AIPC 25-23-01-02-200 COTTER PIN (6) or AIPC 25-23-01-03-200 COTTER PIN (6).
     (c) Connect the rod (7) to the lining (9).
   (7) Install lining
831FZ ( 841FZ) (8):
     (a) Put the lining (8) in position.
     (b) Put the brackets into position and install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Put the grip (15) in position and install the washers (13) and the screws (14).
     (e) Tighten the screws (14).
Subtask 25-23-46-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Linings
   (1) Install lining 831AZ ( 841AZ) (11):
     (a) Engage the lining (11) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
   (2) Install lining 831BZ ( 841BZ) (10):
     (a) Engage the lining (10) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Make sure that you can move the door window shade correctly.
   (3) Install lining 831CZ ( 841CZ) (1):
     (a) Remove the safety pin (29).
     (b) Engage the lining (1) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (c) Install the safety pin (29).
     (d) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (e) Tighten the screws (4).
     (f) Install the screw (16).
     (g) Put the handle plate (19) and the washer (18) into position on the emergency control handle (17).
     (h) Make sure that handle plate (19) and the washer (18) are in the correct position.
     (i) Install the nut (20).
     (j) TORQUE the nut (20) to between 0.8 and 0.7 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ) T.
NOTE: The handle plate (19) is correctly installed, if the emergency control handle (17) retracts into the recess of the door panel.
     (k) Move the emergency control handle (17) to the armed position.
   (4) Install lining
831DZ ( 841DZ) (12):
     (a) Engage the lining (12) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Install the handgrip (26).
       1 Put the lining (28) in position.
       2 Install the spacer (27), handgrip (26), washers (24) and screws (23) and (25).
       3 TORQUE the screws (23) and (25) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in ) T.
       4 Install the grip cover (21) on the handgrip (26).
       5 Make sure that you hear a click when the lugs (22) engage correctly into the grip cover (21).
   (5) Install lining
831EZ ( 841EZ) (2):
     (a) Engage the lining (2) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
   (6) Install lining 831GZ ( 841GZ) (9):
     (a) Put the lining (9) in position and install the pin (5).
     (b) Safety the pin (5) with a new AIPC 25-23-81-01-200 COTTER PIN (6).
     (c) Connect the rod (7) to the lining (9).
   (7) Install lining
831FZ ( 841FZ) (8):
     (a) Put the lining (8) in position.
     (b) Put the brackets into position and install the related washers (3) and the screws (4).
     (c) Tighten the screws (4).
     (d) Put the grip (15) in position and install the washers (13) and the screws (14).
     (e) Tighten the screws (14).
Subtask 25-23-46-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Linings
   (1) Install lining 831AZ ( 841AZ) (9):
     (a) Engage lining 831AZ ( 841AZ) (9) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (c) Tighten the screws (10).
   (2) Install lining 831BZ ( 841BZ) (8):
     (a) Engage lining 831BZ ( 841BZ) (8) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (c) Tighten the screws (10).
     (d) Make sure that you can move the door window shade correctly.
   (3) Install lining 831CZ ( 841CZ) (1):
     (a) Remove the safety pin (20).
     (b) Engage lining 831CZ ( 841CZ) (1) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (c) Install the safety pin (20).
     (d) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (e) Tighten the screws (10).
     (f) Put the handle plate (21) in position on the emergency control handle (22).
     (g) Make sure that the handle plate (21) is installed in the opposite side of the emergency control handle (22).
     (h) Install the screw (23), the washer (18) and the nut (19).
     (i) TORQUE the nut (19) to between 0.80 and 0.70 m.daN (70.80 and 61.95 lbf.in ) T.
   (4) Install lining
831DZ ( 841DZ) (12):
     (a) If you removed the CABIN PRESSURE warning light (34) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-22-400-001) and the SLIDE ARMED indicator light (32) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-21-400-001), install them.
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (d) Put lining 831DZ ( 841DZ) (12) in position.
     (e) Connect the electrical connectors (33).
     (f) Engage lining 831DZ ( 841DZ) (12) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (g) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (h) Tighten the screws (10).
     (i) Make sure that you can move the door window shade correctly.
     (j) Install the handgrip (26):
       1 Put the lining (24) in position.
       2 Install the spacer (25), handgrip (26), washers (27) and screws (31) and (28).
       3 Tighten the screws (31) and (28).
       4 Install the handgrip cover (30) on the handgrip (26).
       5 Make sure that you hear a click when the lugs (29) of the handgrip cover (30) engage correctly.
   (5) Install lining 831EZ ( 841EZ) (2):
     (a) Engage lining 831EZ ( 841EZ) (2) on the yo-yo rolls.
     (b) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (c) Tighten the screws (10).
   (6) Install lining 831GZ ( 841GZ) (5):
     (a) Put lining 831GZ ( 841GZ) (5) in position and install the pin (16).
     (b) Safety the pin (16) with a new AIPC 25-23-81-01-200 COTTER PIN (15) or AIPC 25-23-01-01-200 PIN (15) or AIPC 25-23-01-02-200 PIN (15).
     (c) Connect the rod (17) to lining
831GZ ( 841GZ) (5).
   (7) Install lining 831FZ ( 841FZ) (4):
     (a) Put lining 831FZ ( 841FZ) (4) in position.
     (b) Turn the brackets counterclockwise and tighten the screws (14) (refer to detail C).
     (c) Install the related washers (11) and the screws (10).
     (d) Tighten the screws (10).
     (e) Put the grip (3) in position and install the washers (7) and the screws (6).
     (f) Tighten the screws (6).
Subtask 25-23-46-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Operational Test
   (1) Do an operational test of the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light of the forward passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-00-710-001).
   (2) Do an operational test of the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light of the forward passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-00-710-004).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the cabin escape facilities:
     (a) For 831AZ:
Install the left-hand escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-006) or the left-hand escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-007)
     (b) For 841AZ:
Install the right-hand escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-802) or the right-hand escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-803).
   (3) Install the lights:
     (a) For 831DZ and 841DZ: Install the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-21-400-001) and the CABIN PRESSURE warning-light (Ref. AMM TASK 52-73-22-400-001).
   (4) Do the special precautions after work on the doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
Subtask 25-23-46-410-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the cabin escape facilities:
     (a) For 831AZ:
Install the left-hand escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-006) or the left-hand escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM D/O 25-62-44-40).
     (b) For 831AZ:
Install the right-hand escape slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-400-802) or the right-hand escape slide-raft (Ref. AMM D/O 25-62-44-40).
   (3) Do the special precautions after work on the doors (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
