A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) In the cockpit, on overhead panel 25VU:
(a) Make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL (1) is in the OFF position.
(b) Make sure that NO SMOKING/EXIT/NO PED switch 190RH is in the OFF position.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate these switches.
(3) In the cabin, on the forward attendant panel(s):
(a) Make sure that the EMER switch is released (the EMER legend is off) (Ref. AMM D/O 23-73-00-00).
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the EMER switch.
(4) If you install the pack assembly (9) at the left passenger/crew door (referred to as the door) where the escape slide deployed during:
(5) Make sure that the door is safetied:
(b) Make sure that the emergency control handle (3) is in the DISARMED/MANUAL position with the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4) installed.
(6) Make sure that the door is closed from the passenger compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position on the outer door control-handle to tell persons not to open the door.
Subtask 25-62-44-860-062-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE ESCAPE-SLIDE, MAKE SURE THAT THE DOOR IS SAFETIED.
THIS PREVENTS SUDDEN MOVEMENT OF THE DOOR AND ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE, WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOOR. SUDDEN MOVEMENT OF THE DOOR AND ACCIDENTAL DEPLOYMENT CAN CAUSE INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that the door damper and the emergency operation cylinder is disarmed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001). (b) Make sure that the emergency control handle (3) is in the DISARMED/MANUAL position with the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4) installed.
(6) Make sure that the door is closed from the passenger compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position on the outer door control-handle to tell persons not to open the door.

(a) Make sure that the door damper and the emergency operation cylinder is disarmed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001). (b) Make sure that the emergency control handle (3) is in the DISARMED/MANUAL position with the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4) installed.
(6) Make sure that the door is closed from the passenger compartment (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(7) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position on the outer door control-handle to tell persons not to open the door.
B. Inspection and Preparation of Left-Hand Component for Installation
(1) Examine the pack-assembly (9):
(a) Do a check of the general condition of the pack-assembly (9).
(b) Make sure that the inflation reservoir is safetied:
(e) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(f) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
If you must disconnect the connector (58):
1 Carefully loosen the sleeve nut until you can remove the ball-end of the cable and loop assembly (57) from the body.
(h) Open the burr-strips (54), (55) and (56).
(i) Make sure that the connector (61) between the pull-handle cable (62) and the inflation cable (60) is connected.
(j) Make sure that the girt assembly is assembled correctly before you install the slide.
(k) Make sure that the pressure gage (53) shows the correct pressure.
(l) If installed, make sure that the lacing cord which safeties the pack-assembly (9) during transportation is removed.
(c) Disconnect the quick-release connector (23).
(d) Pull the electrical harness (22) out from between the girt-assembly halves in the direction of the door support-arm.
(f) Install the electrical harness (22) as shown in DETAIL E:
1 Refer to the instructions on the soft-cover of the pack-assembly (9).
Make sure that the quick-release connector (23) is installed next to the 'STOW PLUG HERE' mark/placard.
(g) Close the burr-strips (54), (55) and (56).
Subtask 25-62-44-560-051-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Examine the pack-assembly (9):
(a) Do a check of the general condition of the pack-assembly (9).
(b) Make sure that the inflation reservoir is safetied:
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:
(c) Make sure that the lockpin assembly (18) is installed in the regulator/valve assembly (19). - DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
- DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
NOTE: The lockpin assembly is kept in a stowage pocket on the soft-cover of the pack-assembly.
(d) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(e) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(f) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONNECTOR BETWEEN THE CABLE-AND-LOOP ASSEMBLY AND THE COVER RELEASE CABLE IS DISCONNECTED. THIS PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL PACK OPENING DURING REMOVAL, INSTALLATION OR TRANSPORTATION. ACCIDENTAL OPENING CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(g) Make sure that the connector (58) between the cable and loop assembly (57) and the cover release-cable (59) is disconnected. If you must disconnect the connector (58):
1 Carefully loosen the sleeve nut until you can remove the ball-end of the cable and loop assembly (57) from the body.
(h) Open the burr-strips (54), (55) and (56).
(i) Make sure that the connector (61) between the pull-handle cable (62) and the inflation cable (60) is connected.
(j) Make sure that the girt assembly is assembled correctly before you install the slide.
(k) Make sure that the pressure gage (53) shows the correct pressure.
(l) If installed, make sure that the lacing cord which safeties the pack-assembly (9) during transportation is removed.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRIC HARNESS IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED ON THE PACK-ASSEMBLY. IF THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED, IT CAN PREVENT THE CORRECT INFLATION AND/OR DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE/SLIDE RAFT.
(2) Install the electrical harness (22) on the correct side of the pack-assembly (9): NOTE: This pack-assembly is interchangeable, and can be installed on a left and on a right door.
The electrical harness must come out of the side of the girt assembly in flight direction.
(a) Put the pack-assembly (9) in front of the related door. The electrical harness must come out of the side of the girt assembly in flight direction.
NOTE: The pack assembly weighs approximately 25.0 kg (55.12 lb).
(b) Pull open the burr-strips (54), (55) and (56). (c) Disconnect the quick-release connector (23).
(d) Pull the electrical harness (22) out from between the girt-assembly halves in the direction of the door support-arm.
NOTE: The electrical harness must come out of the side of the girt assembly in flight direction.
(e) Connect the quick-release connector (23). (f) Install the electrical harness (22) as shown in DETAIL E:
1 Refer to the instructions on the soft-cover of the pack-assembly (9).
Make sure that the quick-release connector (23) is installed next to the 'STOW PLUG HERE' mark/placard.
(g) Close the burr-strips (54), (55) and (56).
B. Inspection and Preparation of the Left Component for Installation
(1) Examine the pack-assembly (9):
(a) Do a check of the general condition of the pack-assembly (9).
(b) Make sure that the inflation reservoir is safetied.
(e) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(f) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
1 If the connector (58) is not disconnected, carefully loosen the sleeve nut until you can remove the ball-end of the cable-and-loop assembly (57) from the body.
(h) Open the burr strips (54), (55) and (56).
(i) Make sure that the connector (61) between the pull-handle cable (62) and the inflation cable (60) is connected.
(j) Make sure that the girt assembly is assembled correctly before you install the slide.
(k) Make sure that the pressure gage (53) shows the correct pressure.
(c) Disconnect the quick-release connector (23).
(d) Pull the electrical harness (22) out from between the girt assembly (11) halves in the direction of the door support-arm.
(e) Make sure that the electrical harness (22) comes out of the side of the girt assembly (11) in the direction of the flight.
(f) Connect the quick-release connector (23).
(g) Install the electrical harness (22):
1 Refer to the instructions on the soft cover (12) of the pack-assembly (9).
2 Make sure that the quick-release connector (23) is installed adjacent to the STOW PLUG HERE mark/placard.
(h) Close the burr strips (54), (55) and (56).
4. Procedure(1) Examine the pack-assembly (9):
(a) Do a check of the general condition of the pack-assembly (9).
(b) Make sure that the inflation reservoir is safetied.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:
(c) Make sure that the lock pin assembly (18) is installed in the regulator valve assembly (19). - DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
- DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
NOTE: The lock pin assembly (18) is in the stowage pocket (75) on the soft cover (12) of the pack-assembly (9).
(d) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.(e) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(f) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE CONNECTOR BETWEEN THE CABLE-AND-LOOP ASSEMBLY AND THE COVER RELEASE CABLE IS DISCONNECTED. THIS PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL PACK OPENING DURING REMOVAL, INSTALLATION OR TRANSPORTATION. ACCIDENTAL OPENING CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(g) Make sure that the connector (58) between the cable-and-loop assembly (57) and the cover release-cable (59) is disconnected:1 If the connector (58) is not disconnected, carefully loosen the sleeve nut until you can remove the ball-end of the cable-and-loop assembly (57) from the body.
(h) Open the burr strips (54), (55) and (56).
(i) Make sure that the connector (61) between the pull-handle cable (62) and the inflation cable (60) is connected.
(j) Make sure that the girt assembly is assembled correctly before you install the slide.
(k) Make sure that the pressure gage (53) shows the correct pressure.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRIC HARNESS IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED ON THE PACK-ASSEMBLY. IF THE ELECTRICAL HARNESS IS NOT CORRECTLY INSTALLED, IT CAN PREVENT THE CORRECT INFLATION AND/OR DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE-SLIDE/SLIDE RAFT.
(2) Install the electrical harness (22) on the correct side of the pack-assembly (9): NOTE: This pack-assembly is interchangeable and can be installed on a left and on a right door.
(a) Put the pack-assembly (9) in front of the related door. NOTE: The pack assembly weighs approximately 50.0 kg (110.23 lb).
(b) Open the burr strips (54), (55) and (56). (c) Disconnect the quick-release connector (23).
(d) Pull the electrical harness (22) out from between the girt assembly (11) halves in the direction of the door support-arm.
(e) Make sure that the electrical harness (22) comes out of the side of the girt assembly (11) in the direction of the flight.
(f) Connect the quick-release connector (23).
(g) Install the electrical harness (22):
1 Refer to the instructions on the soft cover (12) of the pack-assembly (9).
2 Make sure that the quick-release connector (23) is installed adjacent to the STOW PLUG HERE mark/placard.
(h) Close the burr strips (54), (55) and (56).
Subtask 25-62-44-420-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Left Escape-Slide Pack-Assembly (referred to as the pack-assembly)
(1) Install the girt bar (10) in the girt assembly (11):
(a) Release the burr-strips of the girt assembly (11).
(b) Pull the HANDLE (31) and open the lace-up joint (34).
(c) Put the girt bar (10) in position on the girt assembly (11).
(d) Safety the parachute pin with the Yarn-- Nylon Breaking strength >40N (Material No.14PAB7) . Make sure that you do not apply a force of more than 40 N (8.9923 lbf) to safety the parachute pin.
(e) Make sure that the visual indicator (30) points inboard and is on the forward side of the girt assembly (11).
(f) Attach the mooring line (32) to the girt bar (10):
1 Make an open loop adjacent to the loop at the end of the mooring line (32).
2 Push the open loop through the loop at the end of the mooring line (32).
3 Push the girt bar (10) through the new loop and pull the mooring line (32) tight.
(g) Make sure that the loop is on the left side of the girt bar (10).
(2) Connect the connector (58) between the cable-and-loop assembly (57) and the cover release-cable (59):
(a) Put the ball-end of the cable-and-loop assembly (57) into the body.
(b) Tighten the sleeve nut.
(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the bolts (24).
(d) Put the pack-assembly (9) in position on the supports (14).
(f) Connect the electrical connectors (15):

(g) Install the washers (25) and the bolts (24).
(h) TORQUE the bolts (24) to between 1.1 and 0.9 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )
.
(i) Make sure that there is no play between the packboard (13) and the door.
(4) Install the girt bar (10) in the floor fittings (26):
(b) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(c) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(d) Install the girt bar (10):
2 Make sure that the girt assembly (11) is correctly folded on the full length of the girt bar (10). Refer to section A-A.
(f) Make sure that the control-shaft levers (28) correctly engage in the holes of the girt bar (10).
(g) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position.
(h) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(i) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(j) Make sure that the girt bar (10) engages correctly in the telescopic forks (27) of the door structure.
(k) Carefully lower the door and lock it with the door control-handle (2).
(l) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED position.
(m) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(n) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(o) Make sure that the girt bar (10) engages correctly in the floor fittings (26).
(p) Carefully lower the door and lock it with the door control-handle (2).
(q) Make sure that the girt bar (10) can move freely:
1 Move the emergency control-handle (3) from the ARMED to the DISARMED position four times.
(r) Make sure that the girt assembly (11) is in a smooth and equal shape along the full length of the girt bar (10).
(s) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position and install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4).
(6) Fold the wire cable (76) and wind the orange flag (77) around it.
(7) Put the lockpin assembly (18) in the stowage pocket (75) on the soft-cover (12).
(8) Do a check of the position of the electrical harness:
(a) Use the FLASHLIGHT and do a check of the position of the electrical harness.
(b) If necessary, install the electrical harness correctly. Refer to Paragraph 3B step (2) (Inspection and Preparation of Left Component for Installation).
(9) Install the decorative cover (20) on the pack-assembly (9):
1 Align the spring clips on the top edge of the decorative cover (20) with the slots (17) in the packboard (13).
2 Push the top edge of the decorative cover (20) against the attach-strips (16).
3 Push the lower edge of the decorative cover (20) against the pack-assembly (9) until the spring clips engage.
(b) For procedure 3:
1 Engage the spring-loaded bolts (73).
2 Push the lower edge of the decorative cover (20) against the pack-assembly (9) until the spring clips engage.
(c) Make sure that you can see the pressure gage through the hole in the decorative cover (20).
(10) Do a check of the decorative cover (20) installation:
(a) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(b) Slowly open the door. When you open the door, do a check of the clearance between the decorative cover (20) and the door frame lining.
(c) When the door is locked in the fully open position, make sure that there is a clearance between the decorative cover (20) and the fuselage.
1 If there is no clearance, make sure that you can set the door in the fully open and locked position with no resistance.
(d) Close and lock the door.
(11) Do a visual inspection of the visual indicator (30) and its ARMED indication:
(a) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4) and move the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED position.
(b) Make sure that the girt bar (10) engages correctly in the floor fittings (26).
(c) If installed, make sure that the self-adhesive placards are in a good condition:
1 If necessary, install the new self-adhesive placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007).
2 Make sure that the point of the self-adhesive arrow (67) aligns with the orange mark of the indicator (30).
3 If it does not align, move the self-adhesive arrow (67) to the correct position.
(d) If an ARMED placard (68) is installed on the cabin floor, make sure that the orange mark aligns with the arrow on the placard.
(f) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position and install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4).
Subtask 25-62-44-420-064-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the girt bar (10) in the girt assembly (11):
(a) Release the burr-strips of the girt assembly (11).
(b) Pull the HANDLE (31) and open the lace-up joint (34).
(c) Put the girt bar (10) in position on the girt assembly (11).
(d) Safety the parachute pin with the Yarn-- Nylon Breaking strength >40N (Material No.14PAB7) . Make sure that you do not apply a force of more than 40 N (8.9923 lbf) to safety the parachute pin.
(e) Make sure that the visual indicator (30) points inboard and is on the forward side of the girt assembly (11).
(f) Attach the mooring line (32) to the girt bar (10):
1 Make an open loop adjacent to the loop at the end of the mooring line (32).
2 Push the open loop through the loop at the end of the mooring line (32).
3 Push the girt bar (10) through the new loop and pull the mooring line (32) tight.
(g) Make sure that the loop is on the left side of the girt bar (10).
(2) Connect the connector (58) between the cable-and-loop assembly (57) and the cover release-cable (59):
(a) Put the ball-end of the cable-and-loop assembly (57) into the body.
(b) Tighten the sleeve nut.
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE GIRT ASSEMBLY. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL OPEN THE PACK ASSEMBLY.
(3) Install the pack-assembly (9) on the door:(a) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the threads of the bolts (24).
(d) Put the pack-assembly (9) in position on the supports (14).
NOTE: The pack-assembly weighs approximately 25.0 kg (55.12 lb).
(e) Tilt the pack-assembly (9) inboard and hold it in position on the supports (14). (f) Connect the electrical connectors (15):

CAUTION:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL START THE SEQUENCE OF STEPS THAT PULLS THE INFLATABLE ASSEMBLY OUT OF THE PACK-ASSEMBLY.
(a) Remove the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4) and move the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED position. (b) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(c) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(d) Install the girt bar (10):
CAUTION:
DO NOT PULL THE GIRT ASSEMBLY. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL OPEN THE PACK ASSEMBLY.
1 Push the girt bar (10) into the floor fittings (26) until the spring pawls (29) engage. 2 Make sure that the girt assembly (11) is correctly folded on the full length of the girt bar (10). Refer to section A-A.
NOTE: If the girt assembly is not correctly folded:
(e) Carefully lower the door and lock it with the door control-handle (2). - The girt bar will disengage from the floor fittings when you open the door. Then the pack-assembly will disengage from the aircraft and it will not deploy.
- The friction occurs during the operation of the emergency control-handle. The PAX DOOR SLIDE indication on the ECAM/FAP will not align with the position of the emergency control-handle.
(f) Make sure that the control-shaft levers (28) correctly engage in the holes of the girt bar (10).
(g) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position.
(h) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(i) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(j) Make sure that the girt bar (10) engages correctly in the telescopic forks (27) of the door structure.
(k) Carefully lower the door and lock it with the door control-handle (2).
(l) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the ARMED position.
(m) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(n) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(o) Make sure that the girt bar (10) engages correctly in the floor fittings (26).
(p) Carefully lower the door and lock it with the door control-handle (2).
(q) Make sure that the girt bar (10) can move freely:
1 Move the emergency control-handle (3) from the ARMED to the DISARMED position four times.
(r) Make sure that the girt assembly (11) is in a smooth and equal shape along the full length of the girt bar (10).
(s) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position and install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE LOCK PIN FROM THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. IF YOU DO NOT, IT CAN PREVENT THE INFLATION OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE/RAFT.
(5) Remove the lockpin assembly (18) from the valve/regulator assembly (19). (6) Fold the wire cable (76) and wind the orange flag (77) around it.
(7) Put the lockpin assembly (18) in the stowage pocket (75) on the soft-cover (12).
(8) Do a check of the position of the electrical harness:
(a) Use the FLASHLIGHT and do a check of the position of the electrical harness.
(b) If necessary, install the electrical harness correctly. Refer to Paragraph 3B step (2) (Inspection and Preparation of Left Component for Installation).
(9) Install the decorative cover (20) on the pack-assembly (9):
NOTE: There are three different procedures to attach the decorative cover:
More force is necessary to attach the dual-lock reclosable fastener-strips than to attach the burr-strips. You hear a click when the two halves of the dual-lock reclosable fastener-strips engage.
(a) For procedure 1 or 2: - Procedure 1: with burr-strips
- Procedure 2: with dual-lock reclosable fastener-strips
- Procedure 3: with spring-loaded latches.
More force is necessary to attach the dual-lock reclosable fastener-strips than to attach the burr-strips. You hear a click when the two halves of the dual-lock reclosable fastener-strips engage.

(c) If installed, make sure that the self-adhesive placards are in a good condition:
1 If necessary, install the new self-adhesive placards (Ref. AMM TASK 11-00-00-400-007).
2 Make sure that the point of the self-adhesive arrow (67) aligns with the orange mark of the indicator (30).
3 If it does not align, move the self-adhesive arrow (67) to the correct position.
(d) If an ARMED placard (68) is installed on the cabin floor, make sure that the orange mark aligns with the arrow on the placard.
NOTE: Airbus recommends to use Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) to refurbish the orange mark, if necessary.
(e) If installed, make sure that you can see the orange mark of the indicator (30) through the hole in the bracket (80). (f) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position and install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4).
A. Installation of the Left-Hand Escape-Slide Pack-Assembly (referred to as the pack-assembly)
(1) Install the girt bar (10) in the girt assembly (11):

4 TORQUE the stud assemblies (24) to between 0.66 and 0.54 m.daN (58.41 and 47.79 lbf.in )

(4) Install the girt bar (10) in the floor fittings (26):
(b) Carefully lift the door with the door control-handle (2).
(c) Hold the door and do not let it open fully.
(d) Install the girt bar (10):
2 Make sure that the girt assembly (11) is correctly folded on the full length of the girt bar (10). Refer to section A-A.

(7) Put the lockpin assembly (18) in the stowage pocket (75) on the soft-cover (12).
(8) Do a check of the position of the electrical harness:
(a) Use the FLASHLIGHT and do a check of the position of the electrical harness.
(b) If necessary, install the electrical harness correctly. Refer to Paragraph 3B step (2) (Inspection and Preparation of Left-Hand Component for Installation).
(9) Install the decorative cover (20) on the pack-assembly (9):

BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE STUD ASSEMBLY, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS NOT DAMAGED. IF YOU INSTALL A DAMAGED STUD ASSEMBLY, IT CAN CAUSE THE PACK ASSEMBLY TO DISENGAGE FROM THE DOOR.
3 Install the stud assemblies (24) in the door and tighten them with the ALLEN KEY 5/32 IN. 4 TORQUE the stud assemblies (24) to between 0.66 and 0.54 m.daN (58.41 and 47.79 lbf.in )
. NOTE: The allen key must go through the wire loop.
(h) Make sure that there is no play between the packboard (13) and the door. (4) Install the girt bar (10) in the floor fittings (26):
CAUTION:

(d) If an ARMED placard (68) is installed on the cabin floor, make sure that the orange mark aligns with the arrow on the placard.
NOTE: Airbus recommends to use Top Coat Polyurethane-- Decorative Furnishing (Material No.04JMD9) to refurbish the orange mark, if necessary.
(e) If installed, make sure that you can see the orange mark of the indicator (30) through the hole in the bracket (80). (f) Move the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position and install the 98D52103500000 SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (4).
B. Operational Test of the Escape-Facilities
(1) Energize the Cabin Intercommunication Data-System (CIDS) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-73-00-861-001).
(2) Do the operational test of the emergency lights (Ref. AMM TASK 33-51-00-710-001).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) on the applicable door to tell persons not to open the door during the CIDS test.
(4) Do the operational test of the inflation reservoir (slide-bottle) monitoring through the CIDS.
