A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE/CRANK/NORM/IGN/START selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Put anACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the engine.
   (2) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
     (a) FOR [10HA1] (SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 1)
     (b) FOR [10HA2] (SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 2)

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below the engine.

     (a) FOR [10HA1] (SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 1)
     (b) FOR [10HA2] (SOLENOID-BLEED PRESS REG V CTL, ENG 2)

C. Installation of the Instrumentation
   (1) Disconnect the connector 10HA1(2)-A from the ENG 1(2) BLEED PRESS REG V CTRL solenoid.
   (2) Connect a VOLTMETER - DC to the terminals 1 and 2 on the connector 10HA1(2)-A.

   (1) On ENG panel 115VU, make sure that ENG/MASTER 1(2) toggle switch 3KC(2KC) is set to ON.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
     (a) The ENG 1 and ENG 2 BLEED pushbutton switches 4HA1, 4HA2 must be pushed, the OFF legend is off.
     (b) The LH(RH) PACK 1(2)/FAULT/OFF pushbutton switch 7HB(6HB) must be pushed, the OFF legend is off and the FAULT legend is on.
   (3) Supply air with the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001).

  • Push the BAT 1 and BAT 2 pushbutton switches.
In the cockpit, on the ELEC section of overhead panel 35VU:
  • The OFF legends on the BAT 1 and BAT 2 pushbutton switches go off.
2.On the control panel of the ECAM system (on center pedestal panel 11VU):
  • Push the ELEC key.
On the lower ECAM display unit:
  • The ELEC page comes into view.

  • Open, safety and tag circuit breaker 2HA1(2HA2).
  • Do a check of the voltage reading on the voltmeter.
  • Make sure that the voltage shown on the voltmeter is lower than 34+/-1 VDC.
  • Remove the safety clip and the tag and then close circuit breaker 2HA1(2HA2).

11.On the MCDU 1(2):
On the MCDU 1(2):
  • Set the AC Gen page.
  • Set the LAST LEG REPORT.
  • On the LAST LEG REPORT page:
    * Read GND and this message: CHECK FIRE HANDLE 1(2) RESET GEN 1(2).
12.On overhead panel 20VU, on ENG/APU fire panel 1WD:
On overhead panel 20VU, on ENG/APU fire panel 1WD:
  • Push the ENG 1(2) FIRE pushbutton switch.

  • Set the SYSTEM TEST on the EPGS menu page.
NOTE: If the message CONFIRM APU AND ENGINES ARE NOT RUNNING comes into view, you can ignore it.
  • Set the START TEST on the EPGS SYSTEM TEST page.
  • The GCU1(2) TEST FAILED message comes into view.
  • Set the GCU1(2) TEST FAILED on the EPGS SYSTEM TEST page.
  • Read this message: ENG1(2) FIRE PB SW (1WD)/ GCU1(2) (1XU1(2)).
12.On overhead panel 20VU, on ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD:

  • Push the ENG 1(2) FIRE pushbutton switch.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
CAUTION: TO RESET THE ENG 1(2) APU FIRE PUSHBUTTON SWITCH:
  • PUSH THE PUSHBUTTON SWITCH FULLY IN (LATCHED POSITION).
THEN CLOSE THE GUARD. DO NOT TRY TO CLOSE THE GUARD AND PUSH THE PUSHBUTTON SWITCH AT THE SAME TIME.
   (1) Closing of the safety guard
     (a) On the ENG/APU FIRE panel 1WD, close the safety guard of the ENG 1(2) FIRE pushbutton switch.
   (2) Do an operational test of the fire detection system (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-00-710-001).
   (3) On the ENG panel 115VU, put the ENG/MASTER 1(2) toggle switch 3KC(2KC) in the OFF position.
   (4) On the ELEC panel 35VU, push the GEN 1(2) pushbutton switch to reset the generator 1(2).
NOTE: On the LAST LEG REPORTS page, on the MCDU: the message CHECK FIRE HANDLE 1(2) RESET GEN 1(2) will go out of view at the subsequent flight.
   (5) Do an operational test of the hydraulic fire shut-off valves (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-710-001).
   (6) Stop the air supply (Ref. AMM TASK 12-33-21-618-001).

B. Disconnect the voltmeter and connect the connector 10HA1(2)-A to the ENG 1(2) BLEED PRESS REG V CTRL solenoid.
