Installation of the Pylon Tubes and Hoses
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-31-49-010-237-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-31-49-864-057-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). D. Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems
(1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the applicable system.
(a) On the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU of the overhead panel
(b) On the ground service panel of the applicable hydraulic system.
(2) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(b) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(b) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
Subtask 78-31-49-010-241-A (1) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the applicable system.
(a) On the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU of the overhead panel
(b) On the ground service panel of the applicable hydraulic system.

(a) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(b) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(b) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
E. Get Access
(1) Make sure the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Make sure that these connections are disconnected from the pylon:
Subtask 78-31-49-010-245-A (1) Make sure the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Make sure that these connections are disconnected from the pylon:
- Hydraulic pressure line
- Hydraulic suction line
- Hydraulic case drain line
- Fuel supply line
- Fuel return line.
F. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Disconnect the following fuel connections from the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-000-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-000-804).
(3) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-809).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-811).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-810).
(4) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-808).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-810).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-809).
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Disconnect the following fuel connections from the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-000-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-000-804).
(3) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-809).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-811).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-810).
(4) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-808).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-810).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-809).
Subtask 78-31-49-420-178-A
A. Installation of the Pylon Tubes and Hoses
(2) Install the pylon tubes (13) and (59) as follows:
(b) Install the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) on the pylon tube (13).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamps in the correct location and position.
(d) Put the pylon tube (13) into position on the pylon.
(e) Attach the P-clamps (24), (31), and (35) to the support brackets (25), (30), and (37) with the bolts (23), (27), and (36), and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Put the pylon tube (59) into position on the pylon.
(g) Connect the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) to the pylon interface and tighten them with your hand.
(h) Install the crossover brackets (48) and (49) to the pylon as follows:
1 Put the nut (61) and washer (62) on the right-side hydraulic connection (60) of the pylon tube (59).
2 Put the nut (56) and washer (55) on the left-side hydraulic connection (58) of the pylon tube (59).
3 Put the nut (80) and washer (81) on the right-side hydraulic connection (79) of the pylon tube (13).
4 Put the nut (76) and washer (75) on the left-side hydraulic connection (77) of the pylon tube (13).
5 Put and adjust the pylon tubes (13) and (59) and crossover brackets (48) and (49) in position on the pylon.
6 Attach the crossover brackets (48) and (49) to the pylon with the bolts and washers, and tighten them with your hand.
7 TORQUE the bolts (23), (27) and (36) attaching P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
.
8 TORQUE the bolts attaching crossover brackets (48) and (49) to pylon to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
.
(i) Install washer (86), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (85) and nut (84) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the right side of crossover brackets (48). Tighten nut (84) with your hand.
(j) Install washer (71), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (70) and nut (72) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the left side of the crossover brackets (49). Tighten nut (72) with your hand.
(k) Install the washer (67), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-150 WASHER (66) and nut (65) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the right side of the crossover brackets (48). Tighten nut (65) with your hand.
(l) Install washer (51), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (50) and nut (52) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the left side of the crossover brackets (49). Tighten nut (52) with your hand.
(m) TORQUE the nuts (84), (80), (72), (76), (52) and (56) to between 3.48 and 2.96 m.daN (25.66 and 21.83 lbf.ft )
.
(n) TORQUE the nuts (65) and (61) to between 2.26 and 2.03 m.daN (16.67 and 14.97 lbf.ft )
.
(o) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
.
(3) Install the pylon tube (12) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (22) and (28) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamps (21) and (26) on the pylon tube (12).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamps in the correct location and position.
(d) Attach the P-clamps (21) and (26) to the support brackets (20) and (30) with the bolts (22) and (28) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) Connect the coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) to the pylon interface and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolts (22) and (28) that attach P-clamps (21) and (26) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
.
(g) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) to between 3.16 and 2.43 m.daN (23.30 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
.
(4) Install the pylon hose (53) as follows:
(b) Connect the coupling nut (54) of the pylon hose (53) to the hydraulic connection (58) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (54) and (97) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
.
(5) Install the pylon hose (73) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (98) of the pylon hose (73) to the hydraulic tube (95).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (74) of the pylon hose (73) to the hydraulic connection (77) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (74) and (98) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
.
(6) Install the pylon hose (63) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (91) of the pylon hose (63) to the hydraulic tube (92).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (64) of the pylon hose (63) to the hydraulic connection (60) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (64) and (91) to between 3.62 and 2.82 m.daN (26.70 and 20.80 lbf.ft )
.
(7) Install the pylon hose (82) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (94) of the pylon hose (82) to the hydraulic tube (93).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (83) of the pylon hose (82) to the hydraulic connection (79) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (83) and (94) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
.
(8) Install the pylon hose (5) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (8) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamp (7) on the pylon hose (5).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamp in the correct location and position.
(d) Put support bracket (6) on the position inside pylon structure.
(e) Attach the P-clamp (7) to the support bracket (6) with the bolt (8) and washer (100) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Connect the coupling nut (10) of the pylon hose (5) to the pylon tube (12) and tighten them with your hand.
(g) Connect the coupling nut (1) of the pylon hose (5) to the ICU (2) and tighten them with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (8) that attaches P-clamps (7) to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
.
(i) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (10) and (1) to between 3.16 and 2.43 m.daN (23.30 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
.
(9) Install the pylon hose (4) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (9) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamp (16) on the pylon hose (4).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamp in the correct location and position.
(d) Attach the P-clamp (16) to the support bracket (6) with the bolt (9) and washer (100) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) Connect the coupling nut (15) of the pylon hose (4) to the pylon tube (13) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Connect the coupling nut (3) of the pylon hose (4) to the ICU (2) and tighten them with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the bolt (9) that attaches P-clamps (16) to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
.
(h) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (15) and (3) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
.
(10) Install the bracket (104) and harness block (105) as follows:
(a) Install the two bolts and two washers that attach the bracket (104) to the pylon.
(b) TORQUE the bolts to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
.
(c) Install the two bolts (103) that attach the harness block (105) to the bracket (104).
(d) TORQUE the bolts (103) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
.
(11) Install the flex tube (41) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-44-400-802).
(12) Connect the following connections to the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-400-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-400-804).
(13) Connect the following hydraulic connections to the pylon:
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-400-809).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-400-811).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-400-810).
(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
1 Hydraulic pressure Line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-400-808).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-400-810).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-400-809).
5. Close-upWARNING:
DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY. FLUSH HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR SKIN WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOU GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES OR MOUTH.
WARNING:
WEAR APPLICABLE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK. BEFORE YOU USE PPE, READ, UNDERSTAND AND OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ITS USE. THESE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER, YOUR EMPLOYER AND GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS. YOU CAN GET INJURED IF YOU DO NOT USE PPE. GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR EMPLOYER ON WHICH PPE IS NECESSARY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
(1) Remove all COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors. (2) Install the pylon tubes (13) and (59) as follows:
NOTE: Each time TRIPLE TORQUE is necessary, do as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (23), (27) and (36) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) . - TORQUE the connection to the necessary torque value.
- Loosen the connection and TORQUE it to the necessary torque value a second time.
- TORQUE the connection to the necessary torque value a third time.
(b) Install the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) on the pylon tube (13).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamps in the correct location and position.
(d) Put the pylon tube (13) into position on the pylon.
(e) Attach the P-clamps (24), (31), and (35) to the support brackets (25), (30), and (37) with the bolts (23), (27), and (36), and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Put the pylon tube (59) into position on the pylon.
(g) Connect the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) to the pylon interface and tighten them with your hand.
(h) Install the crossover brackets (48) and (49) to the pylon as follows:
1 Put the nut (61) and washer (62) on the right-side hydraulic connection (60) of the pylon tube (59).
2 Put the nut (56) and washer (55) on the left-side hydraulic connection (58) of the pylon tube (59).
3 Put the nut (80) and washer (81) on the right-side hydraulic connection (79) of the pylon tube (13).
4 Put the nut (76) and washer (75) on the left-side hydraulic connection (77) of the pylon tube (13).
5 Put and adjust the pylon tubes (13) and (59) and crossover brackets (48) and (49) in position on the pylon.
6 Attach the crossover brackets (48) and (49) to the pylon with the bolts and washers, and tighten them with your hand.
7 TORQUE the bolts (23), (27) and (36) attaching P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
. 8 TORQUE the bolts attaching crossover brackets (48) and (49) to pylon to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
. (i) Install washer (86), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (85) and nut (84) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the right side of crossover brackets (48). Tighten nut (84) with your hand.
(j) Install washer (71), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (70) and nut (72) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the left side of the crossover brackets (49). Tighten nut (72) with your hand.
(k) Install the washer (67), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-150 WASHER (66) and nut (65) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the right side of the crossover brackets (48). Tighten nut (65) with your hand.
(l) Install washer (51), new key AIPC 78-31-49-06-120 WASHER (50) and nut (52) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the left side of the crossover brackets (49). Tighten nut (52) with your hand.
(m) TORQUE the nuts (84), (80), (72), (76), (52) and (56) to between 3.48 and 2.96 m.daN (25.66 and 21.83 lbf.ft )
. (n) TORQUE the nuts (65) and (61) to between 2.26 and 2.03 m.daN (16.67 and 14.97 lbf.ft )
. (o) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
. (3) Install the pylon tube (12) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolts (22) and (28) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamps (21) and (26) on the pylon tube (12).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamps in the correct location and position.
(d) Attach the P-clamps (21) and (26) to the support brackets (20) and (30) with the bolts (22) and (28) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) Connect the coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) to the pylon interface and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolts (22) and (28) that attach P-clamps (21) and (26) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
. (g) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) to between 3.16 and 2.43 m.daN (23.30 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
. (4) Install the pylon hose (53) as follows:
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU INSTALL THE FLEX HOSES, USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE ANTI ROTATION DEVICES OF THE HOSES. IF THE HOSES HAVE BENDS, MAKE SURE THAT, AFTER INSTALLATION, THE BENDS ARE IN THE VERTICAL POSITION AND THAT THERE IS NO TORSION IN THE HOSES. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE FLEX HOSES CAN OCCUR.
(a) Connect the coupling nut (97) of the pylon hose (53) to the hydraulic tube (96). (b) Connect the coupling nut (54) of the pylon hose (53) to the hydraulic connection (58) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (54) and (97) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
. (5) Install the pylon hose (73) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (98) of the pylon hose (73) to the hydraulic tube (95).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (74) of the pylon hose (73) to the hydraulic connection (77) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (74) and (98) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
. (6) Install the pylon hose (63) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (91) of the pylon hose (63) to the hydraulic tube (92).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (64) of the pylon hose (63) to the hydraulic connection (60) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (64) and (91) to between 3.62 and 2.82 m.daN (26.70 and 20.80 lbf.ft )
. (7) Install the pylon hose (82) as follows:
(a) Connect the coupling nut (94) of the pylon hose (82) to the hydraulic tube (93).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (83) of the pylon hose (82) to the hydraulic connection (79) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) TRIPLE TORQUE the coupling nuts (83) and (94) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
. (8) Install the pylon hose (5) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (8) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamp (7) on the pylon hose (5).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamp in the correct location and position.
(d) Put support bracket (6) on the position inside pylon structure.
(e) Attach the P-clamp (7) to the support bracket (6) with the bolt (8) and washer (100) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Connect the coupling nut (10) of the pylon hose (5) to the pylon tube (12) and tighten them with your hand.
(g) Connect the coupling nut (1) of the pylon hose (5) to the ICU (2) and tighten them with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (8) that attaches P-clamps (7) to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
. (i) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (10) and (1) to between 3.16 and 2.43 m.daN (23.30 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
. (9) Install the pylon hose (4) as follows:
(a) Lubricate the threads of the bolt (9) with LUBRICATING OIL TURBINE ENGINE SYNT BASE (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
(b) Install the P-clamp (16) on the pylon hose (4).
(c) Use the record made during the removal procedure to set the P-clamp in the correct location and position.
(d) Attach the P-clamp (16) to the support bracket (6) with the bolt (9) and washer (100) and tighten them with your hand.
(e) Connect the coupling nut (15) of the pylon hose (4) to the pylon tube (13) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) Connect the coupling nut (3) of the pylon hose (4) to the ICU (2) and tighten them with your hand.
(g) TORQUE the bolt (9) that attaches P-clamps (16) to between 0.54 and 0.46 m.daN (47.79 and 40.71 lbf.in )
. (h) TRIPLE TORQUE coupling nut (15) and (3) to between 6.21 and 5.31 m.daN (45.80 and 39.16 lbf.ft )
. (10) Install the bracket (104) and harness block (105) as follows:
(a) Install the two bolts and two washers that attach the bracket (104) to the pylon.
(b) TORQUE the bolts to between 0.48 and 0.37 m.daN (42.48 and 32.74 lbf.in )
. (c) Install the two bolts (103) that attach the harness block (105) to the bracket (104).
(d) TORQUE the bolts (103) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
. (11) Install the flex tube (41) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-44-400-802).
(12) Connect the following connections to the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-400-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-400-804).
(13) Connect the following hydraulic connections to the pylon:
