A. Installation of the Main Fuel Line from the Pylon to the Fuel Pump
   (1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Install the main fuel line (4) as follows:
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (3), the four bolts (14), the two bolts (6), the two bolts (8) and the two bolts (11) with Synthetic base lubricating oil - turbine engine (Material No.CPNCL00062) .
     (b) Put a new AIPC 73-11-46-02-060 GASKET (2) in position on the upper flange of the main fuel line (4).
     (c) Attach the upper flange of the main fuel line (4) to the pylon (1) with the four bolts (3). Tighten the bolts with your hand.
     (d) Put a new
AIPC 73-11-46-02-060 GASKET (15) in position on the inlet flange of the fuel pump (16).
     (e) Attach the lower flange of the main fuel line (4) to the fuel pump (16) with the four bolts (14). Tighten the bolts with your hand.
     (f) Install the two parts of the clamp (5) around the main fuel line (4).
     (g) Install the two bolts (6) to attach the clamp (5) to the upper bracket (7) and tighten them with your hand.
     (h) Install the two parts of the clamp (9) around the main fuel line (4).
     (i) Install the two bolts (8) to attach the clamp (9) to the middle bracket (10) and tighten them with your hand.
     (j) Install the two parts of the clamp (12) around the main fuel line (4).
     (k) Install the two bolts (11) to attach the clamp (12) to the lower bracket (13) and tighten them with your hand.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MAIN FUEL LINE AND THE INNER SURFACE OF THE FAN COWL DOOR IS A MINIMUM OF 12.7 MM (0.5 INCH). IF THIS DISTANCE IS LESS THAN 12.7 MM (0.5 INCH), THE MAIN FUEL LINE AND THE INNER SURFACE OF THE FAN COWL DOOR CAN TOUCH. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THEM.
     (l) Adjust the position of the main fuel line (4) to get a good fit at each of the clamps.
     (m) TORQUE the four bolts (3) at the pylon (1) as follows:
       1 TORQUE the four bolts (3) to between 1.06 and 0.89 m.daN (93.81 and 78.76 lbf.in )
T.
2 One at a time, loosen the bolts (3) one quarter turn and TORQUE the bolt to between 1.06 and 0.89 m.daN (93.81 and 78.76 lbf.in )
T a second time.
3 Continue until all four bolts (3) are torqued a second time.
       4 TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 1.06 and 0.89 m.daN (93.81 and 78.76 lbf.in )
T a third time.
     (n) TORQUE the four bolts (14) at the fuel pump (16) as follows:
       1 TORQUE the four bolts (14) to between 1.30 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )
T.
2 One at a time, loosen the bolts (14) one quarter of a turn and TORQUE the bolt to between 1.30 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )
T a second time.
3 Continue until all four bolts (14) are torqued a second time.
       4 TORQUE the bolts (14) to between 1.30 and 1.23 m.daN (115.04 and 108.85 lbf.in )
T a third time.
     (o) Torque the bolts (6), (8) and (11) as follows:
       1 TORQUE the two bolts (6) at the upper bracket (7) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
T.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (8) at the middle bracket (10) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
T.
       3 TORQUE the two bolts (11) at the lower bracket (13) to between 0.43 and 0.36 m.daN (38.05 and 31.86 lbf.in )
T.
     (p) Ensure the clearance between the bottom part of the main fuel line (4) and the fuel line (17) is not less than 12.7 mm (0.5 in.).
     (q) Ensure the clearance between the servo valve heater (18) and the main fuel line (4) is not less than 12.7 mm (0.5 in.).
     (r) Confirm clearance between the main fuel line (4) and the fan cowl door as follows:
1 Use modeling clay to make three cylinders, approximately 30 mm (1.18 in.) of diameter and of a length enough to obtain appropriate marks on surface when the fan cowl is closed.
2 Place first cylinder on the external surface of the main fuel line (4) approximately 190.5 mm (7.5 in.) from the lower end of the silicone fire sleeve of the main fuel line (4).
3 Place second cylinder on the external surface of the main fuel line (4) approximately 215 mm (8.5 in.) from the first bottom clamp (12) on the main fuel line (4).
4 Place third cylinder on the external surface of the main fuel line (4) approximately 218 mm (8.6 in.) from the upper end of the silicone fire sleeve of the main fuel line (4).
5 Note the position of each cylinder.
6 Close the right fan cowl door (
Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803).
7 Open the right fan cowl door to the fully open position (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803).
8 Wait until the modelling clay is cured.
9 Do a check to see if the modelling clay is cured.
10 Cut the modelling clay cylinders along their revolution edges.
11 Measure the clearance registered in the cylinders. For all three cylinders minimum clearance should be not less than 12.7 mm (0.5 in.).
12 If the any of clearances does not meet the requirements repeat the Para. 4.A.(2)(l) to Para. 4.A.(2)(q).
