3. Job Set-up
Subtask 54-54-00-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
   (2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (3) Make sure that you obeyed the instructions of the hydraulic safety procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (4) Make sure that the aircraft is stable (Ref. AMM TASK 05-57-00-200-001).
   (5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
     (a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
     (b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
   (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).

D. Depressurization of the Hydraulic Systems
WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU DEPRESSURIZED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. IF YOU LOOSEN A HYDRAULIC TUBE FITTING WHEN THERE IS PRESSURE IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, YOU CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Make sure that the related hydraulic system is in the depressurized configuration before the maintenance action (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 54-54-00-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Aft Fixed Fairing
NOTE: Two persons are necessary to install the aft fixed fairing (10).
   (1) Put the aft fixed fairing (10) in position.
   (2) Make sure that the shackles are in clean and correct condition.
   (3) Install the bolts (11) and the nuts (12).
   (4) Install the washer (16) and the bolt (15).
   (5) Install the washer (17) and the nut (18).
   (6) Install the bolt (13) and the nut (14).
   (7) Put the pylon mount upper-fitting (21) in position.
   (8) Install the bolts (19) and the nuts (20).
   (9) Tighten the nuts (20).
   (10) TORQUE the nuts (12) to between 3 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft ) T.
   (11) TORQUE the nut (18) to between 4.1 and 3.6 m.daN (30.24 and 26.55 lbf.ft )
T.
   (12) TORQUE the nut (14) to between 1.65 and 1.35 m.daN (146.02 and 119.47 lbf.in )
T.
   (13) Put the bonding lead (22) in position.
   (14) Install the washer (23) and the bolt (24).
   (15) Tighten the bolt (24).
   (16) When you install the bolt (24), do the electrical bonding at the applicable location (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
Subtask 54-54-00-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Installation of the Hydraulic Lines
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
   (2) Connect the drain lines (7) and (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
   (3) Install the lines (1), (2), (3) and (4).
   (4) Make sure that 3 mm (0.12 in.) clearance between the hydraulic lines (1) and (2).
   (5) Install the bolt (5). Install the nut (6) and tighten it.

C. Operational Test of the Hydraulic System
   (1) Do a dry motoring (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-001).
   (2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
   (4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
   (5) Pressurize the hydraulic reservoir system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (6) Make sure that the hydraulic lines (1), (2), (3) and (4) are sealed.

C. Operational Test of the Hydraulic System
   (1) Do a dry motoring (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-045).
   (2) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
   (3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
   (4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
   (5) Pressurize the hydraulic reservoir system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (6) Make sure that the hydraulic lines (1), (2), (3) and (4) are sealed.

F. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
