(1) Do a detailed inspection of the pylon aft fixed fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-54-00-200-002).

Subtask 54-56-00-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Lower Fairing
(1) Install the centering pins and install the lower fairing (9):
(a) For the left pylon: 473AL
(b) For the right pylon: 483AL

B. Adjustment of the Lower Fairing
(1) Measure the clearances J1 and J2:
(a) Make sure that the clearance J1 is 3 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1181 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.) between the lower fairing and the primary structure and between the RIB 8 and the RIB 10.
(2) Make sure that the variable clearance J2 is between 3.1 +2 mm or -1 mm (0.1220 +0.0787 in. or -0.0394 in.) and 8 +0 mm or -2 mm (0.3150 +0.0000 in. or -0.0787 in.) between:

5. Close-up(1) Measure the clearances J1 and J2:
(a) Make sure that the clearance J1 is 3 +2 mm or -2 mm (0.1181 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.) between the lower fairing and the primary structure and between the RIB 8 and the RIB 10.
(2) Make sure that the variable clearance J2 is between 3.1 +2 mm or -1 mm (0.1220 +0.0787 in. or -0.0394 in.) and 8 +0 mm or -2 mm (0.3150 +0.0000 in. or -0.0787 in.) between:
- The lower fairing and the secondary structure, the RIB 10 and the fairing aft end section.
- remove the bolt (6), the washer (2) and adjust with the shims (7)
- or remove the nuts (1), the nut holders (3), the bolts (5) and adjust with the shims (4).
NOTE: For all adjustment procedure you must install the bolts (5), the nuts (1) and the nut holders (3) on the fitting.
(4) Install the bolts (8) and TORQUE to between 1.8 and 1.6 m.daN (13.27 and 11.80 lbf.ft )

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
