(b) Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(3) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(4) On access door 191DB, on the HP ground connector:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

A. Installation of the Sense Line of the Bleed Transferred Pressure-Transducer
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(6) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the HPV pylon sense hose (16).
(7) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(8) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the mating surface of the fitting (20).
(9) Put the sense line (1) in the correct position between the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the pylon interface (11).
(10) Connect the sense line (1) with the union nut (3) to the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4). Do not torque the union nut (3) at this time.
(11) Install the three clamps (9) as follows only after the installation of sense line (2):
(a) Make sure that the second parts of the three clamps (9) are in the correct position on the three supports (10).
(b) Install the first parts of the three clamps (9) on the second parts of the three clamps (9) with the sense line (1).
(c) Install the six washers (8) and the bolts (7). Do not tighten the six bolts (7) at this time.
(12) Install the fitting (20) in the pylon interface (11) as follows:
(a) Install the two washers (12) and bolts (14).
(b) Tighten the two bolts (14).
(c) Do an electrical bonding of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

(a) Identify the union nut (3) and the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(14) Tighten the six bolts (7).
(15) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) to the sense line (1) as follows:
(b) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) to the sense line (1).
(c) Adjust the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) until it is at an angle between 35 deg. and 45 deg. counterclockwise from the horizontal (Detail H).

1 Identify the tightened coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 36-11-49-420-148-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For 131-9(A) APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(4) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(5) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(6) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the HPV pylon sense hose (16).
(7) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(8) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the mating surface of the fitting (20).
(9) Put the sense line (1) in the correct position between the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) and the pylon interface (11).
(10) Connect the sense line (1) with the union nut (3) to the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4). Do not torque the union nut (3) at this time.
(11) Install the three clamps (9) as follows only after the installation of sense line (2):
(a) Make sure that the second parts of the three clamps (9) are in the correct position on the three supports (10).
(b) Install the first parts of the three clamps (9) on the second parts of the three clamps (9) with the sense line (1).
(c) Install the six washers (8) and the bolts (7). Do not tighten the six bolts (7) at this time.
(12) Install the fitting (20) in the pylon interface (11) as follows:
(a) Install the two washers (12) and bolts (14).
(b) Tighten the two bolts (14).
(c) Do an electrical bonding of the fitting (20) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
WARNING:
TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
(13) TORQUE the union nut (3) to between 0.85 and 0.73 m.daN (75.22 and 64.60 lbf.in )
. (a) Identify the union nut (3) and the bleed transferred pressure-transducer (4) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(14) Tighten the six bolts (7).
(15) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) to the sense line (1) as follows:
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0002) or equivalent to the threads of the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16). (b) Connect the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) to the sense line (1).
(c) Adjust the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) until it is at an angle between 35 deg. and 45 deg. counterclockwise from the horizontal (Detail H).
WARNING:
TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
HOLD THE NUT ADJACENT TO THE FLEXIBLE PART OF THE HOSE WITH A WRENCH WHEN YOU TORQUE THE COUPLING NUT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE HOSE CAN TWIST AND BE DAMAGED.
(d) TORQUE the coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) to the sense line (2) to between 2.77 and 2.43 m.daN (20.43 and 17.92 lbf.ft )
. 1 Identify the tightened coupling nut (18) of the HPV pylon sense-hose (16) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Installation of the Sense Line of the Bleed Regulated Pressure-Transducer
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the PRV pylon sense-hose (17).
(5) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(6) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the mating surface of the fitting (21).
(7) Put the sense line (2) in the correct position between the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the pylon interface (11).
(8) Connect the sense line (2) with the union nut (6) to the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5). Do not torque the union nut (6) at this time.
(9) Install the three clamps (9).
(b) Install the first parts of the three clamps (9) on the second parts of the three clamps (9) with the sense line (2).
(c) Install the six washers (8) and bolts (7). Do not tighten the six bolts (7) at this time.
(10) Install the sense line (2) in the pylon interface (11).
(a) Install the two washers (13) and bolts (15).
(b) Tighten the two bolts (15).
(c) Do the electrical bonding of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(11) Tighten the union nut (6).

(b) Identify the union nut (6) and the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(12) Tighten the six bolts (7).
(13) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) to the sense line (2).
(b) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) to the sense line (2).
(c) Adjust the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) until it is at an angle between 126 deg. and 136 deg. clockwise from the horizontal (Detail H).
(d) Torque the coupling nut (19).

2 Identify the tightened coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 36-11-49-865-224-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(4) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the port of the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the PRV pylon sense-hose (17).
(5) Clean the mating surface of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(6) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) on the mating surface of the fitting (21).
(7) Put the sense line (2) in the correct position between the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) and the pylon interface (11).
(8) Connect the sense line (2) with the union nut (6) to the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5). Do not torque the union nut (6) at this time.
(9) Install the three clamps (9).
NOTE: Do not do this step if the sense line (1) is not already installed.
(a) Make sure that the second parts of the three clamps (9) are in the correct position on the three supports (10). (b) Install the first parts of the three clamps (9) on the second parts of the three clamps (9) with the sense line (2).
(c) Install the six washers (8) and bolts (7). Do not tighten the six bolts (7) at this time.
(10) Install the sense line (2) in the pylon interface (11).
(a) Install the two washers (13) and bolts (15).
(b) Tighten the two bolts (15).
(c) Do the electrical bonding of the fitting (21) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(11) Tighten the union nut (6).
WARNING:
TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT THE PNEUMATIC LINES ON UNIONS.
(a) TORQUE the union nut (6) to between 0.85 and 0.73 m.daN (75.22 and 64.60 lbf.in )
. (b) Identify the union nut (6) and the bleed regulated pressure-transducer (5) with a red line (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(12) Tighten the six bolts (7).
(13) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) to the sense line (2).
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0002) or equivalent to the threads of the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17). (b) Connect the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) to the sense line (2).
(c) Adjust the coupling nut (19) of the PRV pylon sense-hose (17) until it is at an angle between 126 deg. and 136 deg. clockwise from the horizontal (Detail H).
(d) Torque the coupling nut (19).
WARNING:
TIGHTEN THE UNION(S) TO THE CORRECT TORQUE VALUE. IF YOU DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM SUFFICIENTLY, HOT AIR LEAKAGE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
HOLD THE NUT ADJACENT TO THE FLEXIBLE PART OF THE HOSE WITH A WRENCH WHEN YOU TORQUE THE COUPLING NUT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, THE HOSE CAN TWIST AND BE DAMAGED.

D. Prepare for the Leak Test on the Connections of the Sense Lines (1) and (2)
(1) There are two procedures to do a leak check at the connections of the bleed air ducts (duct joint, flexible connections).
(a) Soap solution procedure.
2 Twist tight the seam of the foil wrap.
4 Attach the foil wrap at the two sides of the pneumatic joint with14QEB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.6 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 36-11-49-790-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) There are two procedures to do a leak check at the connections of the bleed air ducts (duct joint, flexible connections).
(a) Soap solution procedure.
- Leaks are permitted if the WATER - SOAPY SOLUTION stays on the joint line with a continuous series of bubbles.
- Leaks are not permitted if the air pressure (from the air source) blows the soap solution off the joint line and prevents a continuous series of bubbles.
NOTE: This procedure is recommended when you do a leak check with hot air.
1 Wind the FOIL - ALUMINUM on the joint once. 2 Twist tight the seam of the foil wrap.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
3 Make the foil wrap as tight as possible on the tube but do not rip the wrap. 4 Attach the foil wrap at the two sides of the pneumatic joint with
E. Leak Test
(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-803) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-802).
(a) Make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line connections.
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-803) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-802).
(a) Make sure that there are no leaks at the sense line connections.
NOTE: There is a leak when the foil installed on the pneumatic connection breaks or when it is too hot.

A. Close Access
(1) Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
