WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
PUT A WARNING NOTICE ON THE HIGH PRESSURE GROUND POWER CONNECTIONS TO TELL PERSONS NOT TO OPERATE THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTER TORQUE TO THE UNION ON THE VALVE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE HP SENSE TUBE.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On the AIR COND control panel 30VU:

(2) On the AIR COND control panel 30VU:
- make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the OFF legend is on)
- make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (the ON legend is off)
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine 1(2).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton switch is off
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

H. Deactivate the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 36-11-00-010-081-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Deactivate the thrust reverser Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). I. Open the thrust reverser halves (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

A. Inspection of the Bleed Air Cold Flow Path after Hail and Bird Strike
(1) Inspection of the elbow duct (1) for cracks, dents and damage.
1 Replace the elbow duct (1).
(2) Inspection of the ducts for cracks, dents and damage.
(a) If there are cracks, marks and/or distortion (specially in the area that conn ect the FAV (2) with the ducts):
1 Replace the FAV (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-400-001).
(4) Inspection of the exchanger inlet (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-200-001).
(a) If you found damage in the exchanger inlet (3):
1 Replace the exchanger inlet (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-400-001).
5. Close-up(1) Inspection of the elbow duct (1) for cracks, dents and damage.
NOTE: The damage limits are given in Duct and Fuel Pipe Repair Manual (Ref. DFPRM 51-12-00-200-801-A01).
(a) If you find cracks, dents or damage on the elbow duct (1): 1 Replace the elbow duct (1).
(2) Inspection of the ducts for cracks, dents and damage.
NOTE: The damage limits are given in Duct and Fuel Pipe Repair Manual (Ref. DFPRM 51-12-00-200-801-A01).
(3) Inspection of the Fan Air Valve (FAV) (2): (a) If there are cracks, marks and/or distortion (specially in the area that conn ect the FAV (2) with the ducts):
1 Replace the FAV (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-54-400-001).
(4) Inspection of the exchanger inlet (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-200-001).
(a) If you found damage in the exchanger inlet (3):
1 Replace the exchanger inlet (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 36-11-44-400-001).
