Subtask 32-21-17-860-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
Subtask 32-21-17-210-050-A
(2) Put the lockstay assembly (23) on the gear leg.
(3) Install the pin (10), spacer (11), lockstay assembly (23) and washer (25) with the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(4) Put the rigging holes of the pin (10) in the vertical position.
(5) Remove the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(6) Install the actuator (8) on the pin (10).
(7) Install the ring (3) and align the rigging holes.
(8) Apply a thin layer of Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the screw (1) and the nut (7).
(9) Install the bushing (4), the washers (5) and (2) and the screw (1).
(10) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 2 and 1.7 m.daN (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )
.
(11) Safety the nut (7) with the new AIPC 32-21-11-41-010 COTTER PIN (6) or AIPC 32-21-11-61-010 COTTER PIN (6) or AIPC 32-21-11-81-010 COTTER PIN (6).
(12) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the bolt (17).
(13) Align the bores of the drag strut (19) with the bores of the spherical joint on the lockstay assembly (23).
(14) Install the bolt (17) and the washers (20) and (18) with the J47588 GUIDE CONE.
(15) TORQUE the nut (21) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )

(16) Safety the nut (21) with the new AIPC 32-21-16-03-235 COTTER PIN (22).
(17) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the bolt (24).
(18) Install the washer (16), actuator (15) and washer (14) with the J47587 GUIDE CONE.
(19) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )

(20) Safety the nut (13) with the new AIPC 32-21-17-02-060 COTTER PIN (12).
(21) Install the lock springs (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-18-400-001).
(22) Install the NLG downlock proximity-sensors 18GA (system 1) and 19GA (system 2) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-73-400-005).
(23) Install the clamps (27) and (29) on the bracket (28).
(24) Install the screw (26), washer (30) and nut (31).
(25) Tighten the nut (31).
(26) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.06AAC5) to zones E.

(2) Put the lockstay assembly (23) on the gear leg.
(3) Install the pin (10), spacer (11), lockstay assembly (23) and washer (25) with the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(4) Put the rigging holes of the pin (10) in the vertical position.
(5) Remove the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(6) Install the actuator (8) on the pin (10).
(7) Install the ring (3) and align the rigging holes.
(8) Apply a thin layer of Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the screw (1) and the nut (7).
(9) Install the bushing (4), the washers (5) and (2) and the screw (1).
(10) TORQUE the nut (7) to between 2 and 1.7 m.daN (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )

(11) Safety the nut (7) with the new AIPC 32-21-11-41-010 COTTER PIN (6) or AIPC 32-21-11-21-010 COTTER PIN (6).
(12) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the bolt (17).
(13) Align the bores of the drag strut (19) with the bores of the spherical joint on the lockstay assembly (23).
(14) Install the bolt (17) and the washers (20) and (18) with the J47588 GUIDE CONE.
(15) TORQUE the nut (21) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )

(16) Safety the nut (21) with the new AIPC 32-21-16-03-235 COTTER PIN (22).
(17) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the bolt (24).
(18) Install the washer (16), actuator (15) and washer (14) with the J47587 GUIDE CONE.
(19) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 3 and 2.5 m.daN (22.12 and 18.44 lbf.ft )

(22) Install the NLG downlock proximity-sensors 18GA (system 1) and 19GA (system 2) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-73-400-005).
(23) Install the clamps (27) and (29) on the bracket (28).
(24) Install the screw (26), washer (30) and nut (31).
(25) Tighten the nut (31).

Installation of the NLG Lockstay Assy

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is lifted with jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(4) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(5) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
(7) Make sure that the doors of the nose landing gear are open (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(8) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the lockstay assembly in zone 123.
(9) Make sure that you obeyed the flight configuration precautions (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the attachment hardware with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and dry with filtered compressed air.
(2) Apply a light coat of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the threads of all the screws, bolts and nuts.
(3) Install the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG or MZ23080000 PIN-LOCKING as an alternative on the new lockstay assy to make its handling easier.
Subtask 32-21-17-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the attachment hardware with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and dry with filtered compressed air.

B. Installation of the Lockstay Assembly NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
(1) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) on the pin (10). (2) Put the lockstay assembly (23) on the gear leg.
(3) Install the pin (10), spacer (11), lockstay assembly (23) and washer (25) with the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(4) Put the rigging holes of the pin (10) in the vertical position.
(5) Remove the J47557 GUIDE CONE.
(6) Install the actuator (8) on the pin (10).
(7) Install the ring (3) and align the rigging holes.
(8) Apply a thin layer of Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) to the screw (1) and the nut (7).

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
