A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:

The ENG/MODE selector switch
The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.

(2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

A. Visual Inspection of the Modulated Turbine Cooling Actuator

NOTE: For POST LEAP-1A Service Bulletin 72-00-0112 "Elimination of the Right Side Modulated Turbine Cooling Valve" engines, the right side modulated turbine cooling valve and actuator (aft looking forward) are removed.

INSPECT/CHECK	MAXIMUM SERVICEABLE LIMITS	REMARKS
1.Fuel leaks on the actuator body and valve shaft	a) A fuel leak that makes drops of fuel is not permitted. b) A fuel stain (wetting) on the actuator body or actuator valve shaft is permitted, if you do not find drops of fuel.	Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
2.Loose modulated turbine cooling actuator	Not permitted.	Tighten the bolts and nuts (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) and for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM D/O 75-23-05-40). Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
3.Cracks and dents on the modulated turbine cooling actuator	Not serviceable.	Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
4.Scores on the piston rod of the modulated turbine cooling actuator	Not serviceable.	Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
5.Bent modulated turbine cooling actuator piston rod	Not serviceable.	Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
6.Leakage or signs of wetting around the electrical connector	Not serviceable.	Replace the modulated turbine cooling actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-801) and (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-400-801) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 75-23-05-000-802).
7.Loose electrical connector	Not permitted.	Tighten the electrical connector (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
8.Damaged electrical connector	Not permitted.	Replace the wiring harness (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-808) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-808) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-809) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-809) or (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-813) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-813) or for PRE SB LEAP 72-00-0112 only (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-814) and (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-814).
9.Damage to the modulated turbine cooling actuator electrical receptacle	Small damage to the modulated turbine cooling actuator receptacle threads is permitted.	Repair the damage so that the connector can be tightened and hold torque.
