Installation of NLG Electrical Harness 2M (EV NLG)
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position:
(4) Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position adjacent to the NLG.
(6) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the circuit breakers below.
Subtask 32-21-43-865-075-A (1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is(are) in position:
- On right center-instrument-panel 400VU, to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control-lever,
- On the Nose Wheel Steering (N/WS) handwheels and the rudder pedals, to tell persons not to operate them.
(4) Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed on the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position adjacent to the NLG.
(6) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the circuit breakers below.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If the electrical power is necessary for other maintenance tasks, obey the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) after you open the circuit breakers.

Subtask 32-21-43-420-056-A
A. Installation of Upper Harness 2M
(2) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the threads of all the nuts and bolts before you install them.
(3) Hold upper harness 2M (98) in position and:
(a) Connect electrical connector (1302VCA) (1) to receptacle (1302VC) of the housing installed on the aircraft structure.
(b) Put the clamp (7) in position on the bracket (10).
(c) Install the washers (8), screws (9), washers (6) and nuts (5) and tighten the nuts.
(d) Install the clamp (4), washer (3) and screw (2) on the bracket (10).
(e) Connect electrical connector (8LRA) (52) to the taxi light (8LR) (53).
(f) Install the spacer (18), clamp (19), screw (20), clamp (16), washer (15) and nut (14) on the bracket (17).
(g) Install the clamp (11), washer (13) and screw (12) on the bracket (17).
(h) Connect the electrical connector (19GAA) (95) to system 2 NLG downlock-proximity-sensor (19GA) installed on the bracket (96).
(i) Install the clamp (91), screw (90), clamp (92), washer (93) and nut (94) on the bracket (97).
(j) Install the transition box (28), screws (29), washers (27) and nuts (26) on the bracket (25).
(k) Install the clamp (23), washer (22) and screw (21) on the bracket (24).
(l) Install the clamps (31) and (32), washer (33) and screw (34) on the bracket (30).
(m) Connect electrical connector (6GCA) (67) to nose-wheel-steering servo control (6GC) (64).
(n) Connect electrical connector (4GCA) (55) to monitoring-channel nose-wheel-steering feedback-sensor (4GC) (54).
(o) Install the clamp (40), washer (41), screw (42) and nut (44) on the bracket (43).
(p) Install the transition box (75), washers (71) and screws (70) on the bracket (77).
(q) Install the clamp (76), screw (72), washer (73) and nut (74) on the bracket (77).
(r) Connect electrical connector (3LC2A) (56) to right runway-turnoff-light (3LC2) (57).
(s) Connect electrical connector (5GCA) (61) to deactivation nose-wheel-steering electrical-box (5GC) (60).
(t) Install the clamp (82), washer (81) and screw (80) on the bracket (83).
(u) Connect electrical connector (25GAA) (63) to system 2 NLG external-proximity-sensor (25GA) (62).
Subtask 32-21-43-865-076-A WARNING:
FOR SAFETY STAND AFT OF THE GEAR LEG WHEN YOU OPERATE THE GROUND OPENING CONTROL OF THE DOOR. CAREFULLY READ THE PLACARD ON THE LEG DOOR BEFORE YOU OPEN THE NOSE GEAR DOORS.
(1) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connectors before you connect them. (2) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Structure (Material No.06LDG2) to the threads of all the nuts and bolts before you install them.
(3) Hold upper harness 2M (98) in position and:
(a) Connect electrical connector (1302VCA) (1) to receptacle (1302VC) of the housing installed on the aircraft structure.
(b) Put the clamp (7) in position on the bracket (10).
(c) Install the washers (8), screws (9), washers (6) and nuts (5) and tighten the nuts.
(d) Install the clamp (4), washer (3) and screw (2) on the bracket (10).
(e) Connect electrical connector (8LRA) (52) to the taxi light (8LR) (53).
(f) Install the spacer (18), clamp (19), screw (20), clamp (16), washer (15) and nut (14) on the bracket (17).
(g) Install the clamp (11), washer (13) and screw (12) on the bracket (17).
(h) Connect the electrical connector (19GAA) (95) to system 2 NLG downlock-proximity-sensor (19GA) installed on the bracket (96).
(i) Install the clamp (91), screw (90), clamp (92), washer (93) and nut (94) on the bracket (97).
(j) Install the transition box (28), screws (29), washers (27) and nuts (26) on the bracket (25).
(k) Install the clamp (23), washer (22) and screw (21) on the bracket (24).
(l) Install the clamps (31) and (32), washer (33) and screw (34) on the bracket (30).
(m) Connect electrical connector (6GCA) (67) to nose-wheel-steering servo control (6GC) (64).
(n) Connect electrical connector (4GCA) (55) to monitoring-channel nose-wheel-steering feedback-sensor (4GC) (54).
(o) Install the clamp (40), washer (41), screw (42) and nut (44) on the bracket (43).
(p) Install the transition box (75), washers (71) and screws (70) on the bracket (77).
(q) Install the clamp (76), screw (72), washer (73) and nut (74) on the bracket (77).
(r) Connect electrical connector (3LC2A) (56) to right runway-turnoff-light (3LC2) (57).
(s) Connect electrical connector (5GCA) (61) to deactivation nose-wheel-steering electrical-box (5GC) (60).
(t) Install the clamp (82), washer (81) and screw (80) on the bracket (83).
(u) Connect electrical connector (25GAA) (63) to system 2 NLG external-proximity-sensor (25GA) (62).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. After you close the Landing Gear Control and Interface Unit (LGCIU) circuit breakers, put the aircraft back to the correct (ground) condition (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).

(2) Close the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001).

(3) Do the operational test of the nose wheel steering (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-710-001).
(4) Do the functional test of the nose-wheel-steering deactivation electrical-box (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-720-005).
(5) Do the BITE check of the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-740-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the taxi and take off lights (Ref. AMM TASK 33-46-00-710-001).
(2) Do the operational test of the runway turnoff lights (Ref. AMM TASK 33-43-00-710-001).
(3) Do the operational test of the nose wheel steering (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-00-710-001).
