A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On panel 400VU:
Subtask 32-11-21-860-051-A (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On panel 400VU:
- Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft is on jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
(2) Make sure that the safety device is installed on the applicable MLG lockstay actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic systems are de-pressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic system reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable MLG lockstay actuating cylinder, at zone 731 or 741.
Subtask 32-11-21-869-054-A (1) Make sure that the aircraft is on jacks (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-001).
(2) Make sure that the safety device is installed on the applicable MLG lockstay actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic systems are de-pressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic system reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the PTU is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable MLG lockstay actuating cylinder, at zone 731 or 741.
C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) If you did not open the LGCIU circuit breakers, make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 32-11-21-865-051-A (1) If you did not open the LGCIU circuit breakers, make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the parts as follows:
Subtask 32-11-21-420-050-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the parts as follows:
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(a) Lubricate the pins (7) and (13), and the attachment lugs of the sidestay and the lockstay with: - Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-Landing Gear Wheel Bearing Lithium Thickened - (Material No.03GCB1) .
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
(b) Lubricate the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-050 PACKINGS (3) and the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) . B. Installation of the MLG Lockstay Actuating Cylinder
(2) Install the washers (11), the washer (6) and the pin (7). The washers (11) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12) eye-end.
(3) Align the other end of the actuating cylinder (12) and the washers (14) in the sidestay and install the pin (13). The washers (14) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 4.5 and 2.9 m.N (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )

(9) Safety the bolts (5) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(10) Install the washer (8) and the nut (9).
(11) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 13.5 and 11 m.N (119.47 and 97.35 lbf.in )
.
(13) Install the sleeve (17), the new AIPC 32-11-18-02-050 WASHER (17) and the bolt (15).
(14) Use the 460006437 TOOL-HOLDING to hold the pin (13) and TORQUE the bolt (15) to between 20 and 17 m.N (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )

(15) Bend the tabs of the tab washer (16) to safety the bolt (15).
(16) Connect the end of the MLG lock springs to the MLG side-stay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-19-400-003).
(17) Do the dimensional check on the lockstay actuator and the lockstay center-joint (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-00-220-003).
(18) Lubricate the greasers on the actuating cylinder (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-001).
(19) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.06AAC5) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to:
Subtask 32-11-21-560-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Hold the actuating cylinder (12) in the correct position at the lockstay. (2) Install the washers (11), the washer (6) and the pin (7). The washers (11) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12) eye-end.
(3) Align the other end of the actuating cylinder (12) and the washers (14) in the sidestay and install the pin (13). The washers (14) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 4.5 and 2.9 m.N (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )
. (9) Safety the bolts (5) with
(10) Install the washer (8) and the nut (9).
(11) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 13.5 and 11 m.N (119.47 and 97.35 lbf.in )
. WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
(12) Safety the nut (9) with the new AIPC 32-11-17-01-030 COTTER PIN (10). (13) Install the sleeve (17), the new AIPC 32-11-18-02-050 WASHER (17) and the bolt (15).
(14) Use the 460006437 TOOL-HOLDING to hold the pin (13) and TORQUE the bolt (15) to between 20 and 17 m.N (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )
. (15) Bend the tabs of the tab washer (16) to safety the bolt (15).
(16) Connect the end of the MLG lock springs to the MLG side-stay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-19-400-003).
(17) Do the dimensional check on the lockstay actuator and the lockstay center-joint (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-00-220-003).
(18) Lubricate the greasers on the actuating cylinder (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-001).
(19) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.06AAC5) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to:
- Heads of the bolts (5) and (15)
- The nut (9)
- The cotter pin (10).
C. Preparation for Installation
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the parts as follows:
(a) Apply Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the external diameter of the pins (7) and (13).
(b) Lubricate the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-050 PACKINGS (3) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-050 PACKINGS (3) and the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .

(b) Lubricate the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-050 PACKINGS (3) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-050 PACKINGS (3) and the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
D. Installation of the MLG Lockstay Actuating Cylinder
(2) Align the other end of the actuating cylinder (12) in the sidestay and install the pin (13).
(3) Install the washers (14), one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses (1).
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.45 and 0.29 m.daN (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )

(9) Safety the bolts (5) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(10) Install the washer (8) and the nut (9).
(11) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 1.35 and 1.1 m.daN (119.47 and 97.35 lbf.in )

(13) Install the sleeve (17), the new AIPC 32-11-18-02-050 TAB WASHER (16) or AIPC 32-11-85-98-050 TAB WASHER (16) and the bolt (15).
(14) Use the 460006437 TOOL-HOLDING to hold the pin (13) and TORQUE the bolt (15) to between 2.0 and 1.7 m.daN (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )

(15) Bend the tabs of the tab washer (16) to safety the bolt (15).
(16) Connect the end of the MLG lock springs to the MLG side-stay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-19-400-003).
(17) Do the dimensional check on the lockstay actuator and the lockstay center-joint (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-00-220-003).
(18) Lubricate the greasers on the actuating cylinder (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-001).
(19) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.06AAC5) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to:

(3) Install the washers (14), one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses (1).
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.45 and 0.29 m.daN (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )

(14) Use the 460006437 TOOL-HOLDING to hold the pin (13) and TORQUE the bolt (15) to between 2.0 and 1.7 m.daN (14.75 and 12.54 lbf.ft )
. (15) Bend the tabs of the tab washer (16) to safety the bolt (15).
(16) Connect the end of the MLG lock springs to the MLG side-stay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-19-400-003).
(17) Do the dimensional check on the lockstay actuator and the lockstay center-joint (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-00-220-003).
(18) Lubricate the greasers on the actuating cylinder (12) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-32-640-001).
(19) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay Landing Gear (Material No.06AAC5) or Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) or Polysulfide Sealant-Fuel Tank Quick Curing - (Material No.06ABF1) to:
- The heads of the bolts (5) and (15)
- The nut (9)
- Fill the hole in the lockstay on top of the bolt (15).
E. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Petroleum Based - (Material No.08BBB1) .
(2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Lubricate the parts as follows:

(b) Lubricate the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-050 PACKINGS (3) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-050 PACKINGS (3) and the new AIPC 32-11-22-01-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) or AIPC 32-11-85-89-060 BACK-UP PACKINGS (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
F. Installation of the MLG Lockstay Actuating Cylinder
(2) Install the washers (11), the washer (6) and the pin (7). The washers (11) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12) eye-end.
(3) Align the other end of the actuating cylinder (12) and the washers (14) in the sidestay and install the pin (13). The washers (14) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses (1).
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.45 and 0.29 m.daN (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )

(9) Safety the bolts (5) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(10) Install the washer (8) and the nut (9).
(11) TORQUE the nut (9) to between 1.35 and 1.1 m.daN (119.47 and 97.35 lbf.in )

(3) Align the other end of the actuating cylinder (12) and the washers (14) in the sidestay and install the pin (13). The washers (14) are installed one on each side of the actuating cylinder (12).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the hoses (1).
(5) Use the 460005171-95 POST-ASSEMBLY to install the new packings (3) and the new back-up packings (2) on the hoses (1).
(6) Use the 460003180-51 RING-KEEP to set the back-up packings (2) and the packings (3) in the grooves on the hoses (1).
(7) Attach the hoses (1) to the actuating cylinder (12) with the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(8) TORQUE the bolts (5) to between 0.45 and 0.29 m.daN (39.82 and 25.66 lbf.in )
