J. Check of the P/N of the Operational Software that you will upload in DMC1
   (1) Do a check of the P/N of the DMC1 operational software (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-740-011).
     (a) On the DMC1 LRU IDENTIFICATION 1/5 page, read the P/N of the DMC1 operational software.
     (b) Make sure that the P/N of the DMC1 operational software given on the DMC1 LRU IDENTIFICATION 1/5 page is different from the P/N of the DMC1 operational software written on the media disk(s).
4. Procedure
Subtask 31-60-00-970-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Uploading of the DMC1 Operational Software with a High-Speed PDL
NOTE: If the PDL has the digital signature check, the PDL can show two messages:
  • One message if the PDL detects that the software has no signature. You can ignore this message because it has no effect on the aircraft software uploading.
  • One message if the PDL detects an incorrect or corrupted signature. Then the software uploading will not be possible and you must use a different software.
For data security, Airbus recommends that you make a report of the fault to the Aircraft Security Focal Point.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Upload the DMC1 operational software.
  • If a transfer fault occurs during the uploading and if more than one media disk is necessary, do the uploading again from media disk 1.

2.On overhead circuit-breaker panel 49VU:
  • Open circuit breaker 10WT1 and wait for more than 0.5 seconds.
On the CAPT PFD DU and the ND DU:
  • The amber INVALID DATA message comes into view.
3.On overhead circuit-breaker panel 49VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 10WT1.
On the CAPT PFD DU and the ND DU:
  • The amber INVALID DATA message stays in view.
4.Stop the high-speed data-loading application.
On the CAPT PFD and the ND DU:
  • After approximately 40 seconds, the DISPLAY SYSTEM VERSION INCONSISTENCY message comes into view.
