(1) Push and hold the button of the door handle until the door handle releases and moves away from its recess.
(2) Move the door handle to the OPEN position and pull it outboard to release the access door from the structural lock pins.
(3) Release the door handle when the access door engages in the structural lock pin.
(4) Do not touch the door frame edge of the fuselage with your hands.
(5) Move the door handle to the fully CLOSED position.
(6) Push the door handle into its recess.

(1) Push and hold the button of the door handle until the door handle releases and moves away from its recess.
(2) Move the door handle to the OPEN position and pull it outboard to release the access door from the structural lock pins.
(3) Pull the door handle until the leaf spring disengages from the locking angle.
(4) Do not touch the door frame edge of the fuselage with your hands.
(5) Carefully move the access door down into the door opening.
(6) Move the door handle to the fully CLOSED position.
(7) Push the door handle into its recess.

WHEN YOU CLOSE THE AVIONICS COMPARTMENT DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HANDS ARE NOT ON THE EDGE OF THE OPENING.
THE DOOR CLOSES QUICKLY AT THE END OF THE MOVEMENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO YOUR HANDS.
A. Close Avionics Compartment Door 811 (Access Door) (1) Push and hold the button of the door handle until the door handle releases and moves away from its recess.
(2) Move the door handle to the OPEN position and pull it outboard to release the access door from the structural lock pins.

D. Close Avionics Compartment Door 824 (Access Door) (1) Pull the door handle to move the access door down over its horizontal level.
NOTE: When the access door moves below the horizontal level, the gas spring unit operates to lower the access door automatically.
(2) Make sure that your hands do not touch the door frame edge of the fuselage. (3) Pull the door handle to move the access door down into the door opening.
(4) Move the door handle to the fully CLOSED position.
(5) Push the door handle into its recess.
NOTE: If the door handle is not in the fully CLOSED position before you push it into its recess, a door indication error could occur.
