A. Crossloading of the DMC2 Data to the F/O PFD and F/O ND
NOTE: The procedure is for the F/O PFD. For the F/O ND, use the indications in parentheses.
NOTE: Crossloading is possible only if the target Display Units (DUs) to which you crossload data have an EIS software Part Number (PN) different from that of the source DMC.
You can crossload data to all the DUs at the same time.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS2 indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 main-menu page comes into view.
On the F/O PFD (F/O ND):
  • The green MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD page comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the DU XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 DU XLOAD page comes into view.
  • On the F/O PFD (ND), make sure that the EIS software P/N is amber or empty.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the ACCESS XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 DU XLOAD page with initial conditions comes into view.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Obey the instructions referred to as INITIAL CONDITIONS and push the line key adjacent to the START XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 DU XLOAD page comes into view with the TRANSFER IN PROGRESS message and:
    DMC2 TO PFD F/O
    DMC2 TO ND F/O
    MAX 20 MINUTES.
On the F/O PFD (ND), a large white L comes into view on the screen.
6.XLOAD process:
  • Wait for a maximum of 20 minutes.
On the F/O PFD (F/O ND):
  • The SELF TEST IN PROGRESS message comes and stays into view during 40 seconds.
  • Make sure that the MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
On the MCDU:
  • DMC2 DU XLOAD comes into view with:
    INTEGRITY CHECK
    PFD F/O
    ND F/O
    MAX 60 SECONDS.
  • The F/O PFD (F/O ND) XLOAD COMPLETED message is shown in green.
7.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC2 DU XLOAD page comes into view with, on the same line as the F/O PFD (F/O ND), the EIS software P/N shown in green.
8.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication to go back to the main menu page.
NOTE: If the result of the test gives the amber message F/O PFD (F/O ND) XLOAD ABORTED, then try again from Step 1. If the new result is XLOAD ABORTED, remove the PFD (ND) and send it to the shop for repair.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-086-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
