A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
   (3) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008)
   (4) On the switching panel 8VU, make sure that all the switches are set to NORM.

A. Crossloading of the DMC1 data to the CAPT PFD, CAPT ND, EWD or SD
NOTE: The procedure is for the Captain's PFD. For the Captain's ND, for the ECAM SD or EWD, use the information between parentheses.
NOTE: Crossloading is possible only if the target DU's (DU to which you crossload data) have an EIS software P/N different than the source DMC.
You can crossload data to all DUs at the same time.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU::
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS1 indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC1 main menu page comes into view.
    On the CAPT PFD, CAPT ND, EWD and SD Display Units:
  • The green MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC1 PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the DU XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC1 DU XLOAD comes into view.
  • Make sure that on the CAPT PFD DU (ND, EWD,SD DU): the EIS software P/N is amber or empty.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to ACCESS XLOAD.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC1 DU XLOAD comes into view with initial conditions.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Obey the instructions refered to as: INITIAL CONDITIONS and press the line key adjacent to START XLOAD.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC1 DU XLOAD comes into view with the message TRANSFER IN PROGRESS
    DMC1 TO PFD CAPT
    DMC1 TO ND CAPT
    DMC1 TO EWD
    DMC1 TO SD
    MAX 20 MINUTES
    On the Captain's PFD DU (ND, SD or EWD DU): a large white L comes into view on the screen.
6.XLOAD process
  • Wait for 20 minutes maximum.
On the MCDU:
  • DMC1 DU XLOAD comes into view with INTEGRITY CHECK
    PFD CAPT
    ND CAPT
    EWD
    SD
    MAX 60 SECONDS
    On the PFD CAPT (ND CAPT, SD or EWD) display unit:
  • The message SELF TEST IN PROGRESS (MAX 40 SECONDS) comes into view.
  • Make sure that the message MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view.
    On the MCDU:
  • The message PFD CAPT (ND CAPT, SD or EWD): XLOAD COMPLETED is displayed in green.
7.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The page DMC1 DU XLOAD comes into view with, on the same line as the PFD CAPT (ND CAPT, SD or EWD) DU, the EIS software P/N is displayed in green.
8.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to RETURN to get back to the main menu page.
NOTE: If the result of the test gives the amber message PFD CAPT (ND CAPT, SD or EWD) XLOAD ABORTED, then try again once from step 1. If the new result is XLOAD ABORTED, remove the PFD DU (the ND DU, the SD DU or EWD DU) and return it to the shop for repair.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-085-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
