A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
   (3) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008)
   (4) On the switching panel 8VU, put the EIS DMC selector switch to CAPT 3.

A. Crossloading of the DMC3 Data to the CAPT PFD, CAPT ND, EWD or SD
NOTE: The procedure is for the CAPT PFD. For the CAPT ND, the ECAM SD or EWD, use the indication in parentheses.
NOTE: Crossloading is possible only if the target Display Units (DUs) to which you crossload data have an EIS software Part Number (PN) different from that of the source DMC.
You can crossload data to all the DUs at the same time.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS3 indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 main-menu page comes into view.
On the CAPT PFD, CAPT ND, EWD and SD DUs:
  • The green MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
2.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the PIN PROG/STATUS AND XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 PIN PROG STATUS AND XLOAD page comes into view.
3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the DU XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 DU XLOAD page comes into view.
  • On the CAPT PFD (ND, EWD, SD), make sure that the EIS software P/N is amber or empty.
4.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the ACCESS XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 DU XLOAD page comes into view.
5.On the MCDU:
  • Obey the instructions referred to as INITIAL CONDITIONS and push the line key adjacent to the START XLOAD indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 DU XLOAD page comes into view with the TRANSFER IN PROGRESS message and:
    DMC3 TO PFD CAPT
    DMC3 TO ND CAPT
    DMC3 TO EWD
    DMC3 TO SD
    MAX 20 MINUTES.
On the CAPT PFD (ND, SD or EWD), a large white L comes into view on the screen.
6.XLOAD process:
  • Wait for a maximum of 20 minutes.
On the CAPT PFD (CAPT ND, SD or EWD):
  • The SELF TEST IN PROGRESS message comes and stays into view during 40 seconds.
  • Make sure that the MAINTENANCE MODE message comes into view.
On the MCDU:
  • DMC3 DU XLOAD comes into view with:
    INTEGRITY CHECK
    PFD CAPT
    ND CAPT
    EWD
    SD
    MAX 60 SECONDS.
  • The CAPT PFD (CAPT ND, SD or EWD) XLOAD COMPLETED message is shown in green.
7.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The DMC3 DU XLOAD page comes into view with, on the same line as the CAPT PFD (CAPT ND, SD or EWD), the EIS software P/N shown in green.
8.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication to go back to the main menu page.
NOTE: If the result of the test gives the amber message CAPT PFD (CAPT ND, SD or EWD) XLOAD ABORTED, then try again from Step 1. If the new result is XLOAD ABORTED, remove the PFD (ND, SD or EWD) and send it to the shop for repair.

5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-090-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
