A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the panel 400VU, make sure that the landing gear normal control lever is in the DOWN position.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the landing gear normal control lever to tell persons not to use it.
(3) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
(4) Pressurize the Yellow or Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001).
(5) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only). (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001)
(6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the HYD key.
(7) On the lower ECAM display unit, the HYD page comes into view. Make sure that the Yellow or the Green hydraulic system is pressurized.
(8) On the center pedestal, make sure that the pitch trim control wheels are at 0 degree.
(9) Take the applicable precautions before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

(6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the HYD key.
(7) On the lower ECAM display unit, the HYD page comes into view. Make sure that the Yellow or the Green hydraulic system is pressurized.
(8) On the center pedestal, make sure that the pitch trim control wheels are at 0 degree.
(9) Take the applicable precautions before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Install the tool
Put the tool 98D32603000000 SIMULATION PLATE-FLIGHT GROUND on the nose, left, right landing gear extension proximity sensors 24GA, 25GA, 21GA, 23GA, 20GA and 22GA.

(1) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, set the LOWER DISPLAY and the UPPER DISPLAY potentiometers to OFF.
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure (ECAM ONLY) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(3) Take the safety precautions before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).

E. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) After you close the LGCIU circuit breakers, put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(2) De-pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system or Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) After you close the LGCIU circuit breakers, put the aircraft back to the ground configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-002).
(2) De-pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system or Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
