WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
1. Reason for the JobNOTE: Do this procedure when the steering angle is more than 95 degrees. This can include towbar and towbarless towing operations.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On panel 400VU, make sure that the landing-gear control lever is in the DOWN position.
(2) On panel 110VU, make sure that the free-fall control handle is in the usual position.
(3) On the nose gear leg, on the electrical box (5GC), make sure that the towing lever is in the towing position (disengaged position).
(4) Lift the aircraft at the forward jacking point (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
(5) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(6) Release the remaining pressure from the servo-control (6GC) (Ref. AMM TASK 32-51-51-000-001).
(7) Make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 05-51-23-010-050-A (1) On panel 400VU, make sure that the landing-gear control lever is in the DOWN position.

C. Get Access
(1) Open the NLG doors and install the safety devices (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to close the NLG doors.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the NLG doors and install the safety devices (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to close the NLG doors.
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.

CAUTION:
FOR THE RACK TEETH INSPECTION, DO NOT TURN THE ROTATING TUBE TOO MUCH TO PREVENT RACK DISENGAGEMENT.
THE RACK CYLINDER RE-INSTALLATION IS NOT AN EASY PROCEDURE.
