A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear or the landing gear doors.
(3) Make sure that the D23080000 PIN-GROUND LOCK,NLG or the MZ23080000 PIN-LOCKING is in position (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the torque-link center hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-27-000-002).

A. Special Detailed Inspection of the Torque-Link Center Hinge-Pin

NLG Torque-Link Center-Hinge

(1) If the torque-link center hinge-pin is bent, replace it (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-27-400-002).
(2) If the torque-link center hinge-pin is not bent:
(a) Do a penetrant inspection of the threads, the fork and the thread undercut of the torque-link center hinge-pin, NTM 511014.
1 Make sure that you do not remove the protective treatment of the torque-link center hinge-pin during the penetrant inspection.
2 Carefully examine the fork, the threads and the thread undercut and make sure that there is no damage.
3 If you find damage, replace the torque-link center hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-27-400-002).

5. Close-up
Subtask 32-21-00-942-067-A

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Install the torque-link center hinge-pin (Ref. AMM TASK 32-21-27-400-002).
(2) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
