Subtask 32-21-27-020-056-B
(2) Remove the bolt (7).
(3) Tighten the nut (5) until the lug of the lock plate (6) becomes free from the guidance slot of the nut (5).
(4) Hold the shaft (1) and remove the lock plate (6).
(5) Remove the nut (5) and washer (4).
(6) Remove the shaft (1) with a DRIFT - PLASTIC.
(7) Remove the washers (2) and (3).
(8) Attach the upper torque link to the landing gear with a cord to make sure:

A. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the right-center instrument panel 400VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.
(2) On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals:
(a) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
Subtask 32-21-27-860-053-B (1) In the cockpit, on the right-center instrument panel 400VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing-gear control lever.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the CHOCK - WHEEL(S) are in position.
(2) On the PARKING BRK section of panel 110VU, make sure that the control switch is in the OFF position.
(3) Try to turn the shaft (1) with your hand.

(a) If you can turn the shaft (1) with your hand, go to Para. 4. Procedure.
(b) If you cannot turn the shaft (1) with your hand, then there are remaining loads in the torque links. To release the loads you must lift and lower the NLG:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the CHOCK - WHEEL(S) are in position.
(2) On the PARKING BRK section of panel 110VU, make sure that the control switch is in the OFF position.

Nose Gear Torque-Links - Center Hinge with the Lock Plate ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (b) If you cannot turn the shaft (1) with your hand, then there are remaining loads in the torque links. To release the loads you must lift and lower the NLG:
- Lift the NLG until the wheels are off the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-581-003).
- Lower the NLG until the wheels are on the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
- Contact AIRBUS for more instructions.

A. Removal of the Torque-Link Center Hinge
(2) Remove the nut (8), the washer (7) and the screw (10).
(3) Hold the shaft (1) and remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(4) Remove the shaft (1) with a DRIFT - PLASTIC.
(5) Remove the washers (4), (3) and (2).
(6) Attach the top torque link to the landing gear leg with a cord.
Subtask 32-21-27-020-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This subtask is only applicable if the NLG is not installed with the lock plate on the torque-link center hinge.
(1) Remove and discard the cotter pin (9) from the nut (8). (2) Remove the nut (8), the washer (7) and the screw (10).
(3) Hold the shaft (1) and remove the nut (6) and the washer (5).
(4) Remove the shaft (1) with a DRIFT - PLASTIC.
(5) Remove the washers (4), (3) and (2).
(6) Attach the top torque link to the landing gear leg with a cord.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
B. Removal of the Torque-Link Center Hinge NOTE: This subtask is only applicable if the NLG is installed with the lock plate on the torque-link center hinge.
(1) Remove and discard the lockwire (8) or the safety cable (8) between the bolt (7) and lock plate (6). (2) Remove the bolt (7).
(3) Tighten the nut (5) until the lug of the lock plate (6) becomes free from the guidance slot of the nut (5).
(4) Hold the shaft (1) and remove the lock plate (6).
(5) Remove the nut (5) and washer (4).
(6) Remove the shaft (1) with a DRIFT - PLASTIC.
(7) Remove the washers (2) and (3).
(8) Attach the upper torque link to the landing gear with a cord to make sure:
- That the upper torque link will not fall below its correct position when the shock absorber is fully extended.
