B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that both thrust reverser control levers are not operational.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons that circuit breakers 2EN1 and 2EN2 are open.
Subtask 32-51-00-860-090-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that both thrust reverser control levers are not operational.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons that circuit breakers 2EN1 and 2EN2 are open.
NOTE: The open status of circuit breakers 2EN1 and 2EN2 makes the engine thrust reversers unserviceable.
B. Safety Precautions

Subtask 32-51-00-860-052-A (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons that both thrust reverser control levers are not operational.
(2) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons that circuit breakers 10KC1 and 10KC2 are open.
NOTE: The open status of circuit breakers 10KC1 and 10KC2 makes the engine thrust reversers unserviceable.
C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) If the test is to be done with the nose wheels on the ground, do these steps:
(b) Apply a thick layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the upper surface of the steel plate.
(d) Make sure that the nose wheels are in the center of the top test plate.
(e) Move the aircraft and position the nose wheels on the greased steel plates (Ref. AMM TASK 09-10-00-584-002).
(3) If the test is to be done with the nose wheels clear of the ground do this:
(a) Lift the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-001).
(5) On the panel 400VU, make sure that the landing gear control lever is in the DOWN position.
(6) On the panel 402VU, make sure that the ANTI SKID NOSE WHEEL switch is in the ON position.
(7) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(8) On the ECAM control panel, push the WHEEL pushbutton switch.
(9) Make sure that the rudder pedals and the two nose-wheel steering handwheels are in the neutral position.
Subtask 32-51-00-865-058-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) If the test is to be done with the nose wheels on the ground, do these steps:
NOTE: You will need two PLATE 1.2 M (4 FT) - STEEL, SQUARED.
(a) Position a steel plate in front of the nose wheels. (b) Apply a thick layer of Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Clay Thickened - (Material No.03GBB1) to the upper surface of the steel plate.
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
(c) Put the other steel plate on the top of the greased steel plate. (d) Make sure that the nose wheels are in the center of the top test plate.
(e) Move the aircraft and position the nose wheels on the greased steel plates (Ref. AMM TASK 09-10-00-584-002).
(3) If the test is to be done with the nose wheels clear of the ground do this:
(a) Lift the nose gear (Ref. AMM TASK 07-12-00-582-001).
NOTE: Use only a compact axle jack to lift the nose gear.
(4) On the nose gear leg, on the electrical box, make sure that the towing lever is in the normal position (engaged position). (5) On the panel 400VU, make sure that the landing gear control lever is in the DOWN position.
(6) On the panel 402VU, make sure that the ANTI SKID NOSE WHEEL switch is in the ON position.
(7) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(8) On the ECAM control panel, push the WHEEL pushbutton switch.
(9) Make sure that the rudder pedals and the two nose-wheel steering handwheels are in the neutral position.

CAUTION:
DURING THE STEERING TEST, MAKE SURE THAT THE TIRES DO NOT TOUCH THE EDGES OF THE TOP PLATES. IF THE PLATES MOVE TO AN INCORRECT POSITION, INSTALL THEM CORRECTLY AND START THE TEST AGAIN.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE TIRES CAN OCCUR.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that circuit breakers 2EN1 and 2EN2 are closed.
(3) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
(4) Lower the aircraft on its wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 07-11-00-586-001).
(5) Do the EIS Stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(6) On the MCDU, push the line select key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
(7) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(8) If the nosewheels are on grease plates, move the aircraft to remove the grease plates (Ref. AMM TASK 09-10-00-584-002).
(9) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
