  • Make sure that the HYD page shows that the pressure of the Green system is 3000 psi (206.8427 bar).
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
Pressurize the auxiliary Yellow hydraulic-system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • Make sure that the HYD page shows that the pressure of the Yellow system is 3000 psi (206.8427 bar).
4. Procedure
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AREA AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER IS CLEAR OF PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU OPERATE IT. THE THRUST REVERSER TRANSLATING SLEEVES MOVE QUICKLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

On the upper ECAM DU, the REV indication on the N1 indicator of the engine 1(2) is amber when the thrust reverser operates.

When the thrust reversers are fully stowed and locked, on the MCDU, the TEST OK page comes into view if no fault is found.

On the upper ECAM DU, the REV indication on the N1 indicator of the engine 1(2) disappears when the thrust reversers are fully stowed.
NOTE: If after a period of 25 seconds the thrust reverser is not fully stowed and locked, the TEST FAILURE page comes into view.
10.If the bleeding of the thrust reverser system is not necessary, go to the step that follows. If the bleeding of the thrust reverser system is necessary:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the NEW CYCLING TEST indication.
  • Do again steps 6 and 9 to operate the system up to ten times.
NOTE: Do up to ten deploy-stow cycles or until smooth operation is observed.
The INITIAL CONDITION page 2 comes into view.
11.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication.
The THRUST REVERSER CYCLING TEST CLOSE UP page comes into view.
12.Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until you get the CFDS menu.

13.Push the MCDU MENU key.
The MCDU menu comes into view.
   (1) Make a record of any fault messages that you see on the MCDU screen.
NOTE: The table below shows maintenance and ECAM messages which may occasionally be set for reasons which are not necessary for the normal corrective action. The recommended actions for these messages must be done to prevent delays because of corrective actions that are incorrect or not necessary.
