B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-30-00-010-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that either the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802) or the oil tank access door on the left fan cowl door is open.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that either the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802) or the oil tank access door on the left fan cowl door is open.
Subtask 78-30-00-440-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Reactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Flight
(1) Remove the two bolts (4) and the lockout cover (5) from the latch beam (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-36-000-801).
(2) Remove the translating sleeve lockout pin (2) from the latch beam.
(3) Turn the lockout cover (5) so the lockout pin hole is on the opposite side of the translating sleeve lockout pin hole. See Sheet 1 of the figure:
(4) Install the lockout cover (5) on the latch beam with the two bolts (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-36-400-801).
(5) Do steps 4.A.(1) thru 4.A.(5) for the other thrust reverser door on the same engine.
(6) Open the oil tank access door on the left fan cowl door.
(7) Remove the screw (1) on the double-clamp (3).
(8) Open the double-clamp (3) and stow the two translating sleeve lockout pins (2).
(9) Install the screw (1) back on the double-clamp (3).
(10) TORQUE the screw (1) to between 35 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.36 m.daN )

5. Close-up(1) Remove the two bolts (4) and the lockout cover (5) from the latch beam (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-36-000-801).
(2) Remove the translating sleeve lockout pin (2) from the latch beam.
(3) Turn the lockout cover (5) so the lockout pin hole is on the opposite side of the translating sleeve lockout pin hole. See Sheet 1 of the figure:
(4) Install the lockout cover (5) on the latch beam with the two bolts (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-36-400-801).
(5) Do steps 4.A.(1) thru 4.A.(5) for the other thrust reverser door on the same engine.
(6) Open the oil tank access door on the left fan cowl door.
(7) Remove the screw (1) on the double-clamp (3).
(8) Open the double-clamp (3) and stow the two translating sleeve lockout pins (2).
(9) Install the screw (1) back on the double-clamp (3).
(10) TORQUE the screw (1) to between 35 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.36 m.daN )
. Subtask 78-30-00-860-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and debris.
(2) Make sure the ECAM WARNING is no longer displayed.
(3) If the left fan cowl door is open, close the left fan cowl door.
(4) If the oil tank access door is open, close the oil tank access door on the left fan can cowl door.
Subtask 78-30-00-440-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and debris.
(2) Make sure the ECAM WARNING is no longer displayed.
(3) If the left fan cowl door is open, close the left fan cowl door.
(4) If the oil tank access door is open, close the oil tank access door on the left fan can cowl door.
B. Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system after ground maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-805).
Subtask 78-30-00-860-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

D. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the thrust reverser with the MCDU. (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-00-710-805)
(2) Close the entry in the logbook.
