A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-63-00-410-072-B
A. Installation of the AGB Assembly
WARNING: MOVE THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX ASSEMBLY AND/OR THE GSE SLOWLY. THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT RIGID TUBES. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
   (1) Remove the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
   (3) Install the 956A7018 FIXTURE, REMOVE/ INSTALL - AGB ASSEMBLY on the AGB assembly (1).
   (4) Install the AGB assembly (1) in the correct position on the fan frame shroud (64).
   (5) Install the AGB assembly (1) on the spigot assembly (63) to attach to the fan frame shroud (64).
   (6) Installation of the AGB assembly (1) on the AGB links (Ref. AMM TASK 72-23-06-400-801):
     (a) Install the AGB assembly (1) on the link assembly (62).
     (b) Install the AGB assembly (1) on the axial link assembly (61).
     (c) Install the AGB assembly (1) on the stirrup assembly (60).
   (7) Remove the 956A7018 FIXTURE, REMOVE/ INSTALL - AGB ASSEMBLY from the AGB assembly (1).
   (8) Connection of the oil tube (57) to the AGB assembly (1):
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (58) and a new EIPC 79-00-00-02-130 C-SEAL (59) with the engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
     (b) Install the new c-seal (59) and the oil tube (57) in the correct position on the AGB assembly (1).
     (c) Install the four bolts (58) to attach the oil tube (57) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
     (d) TORQUE the four bolts (58) to between 120.81 and 109.31 lbf.in (1.37 and 1.24 m.daN ) T.
   (9) Connection of the oil tube (55) to the AGB assembly (1):
     (a) Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut (56) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
     (b) Connect the coupling nut (56) of the oil tube (55) to the AGB assembly (1).
     (c) TORQUE the coupling nut (56) to between 770 and 650 lbf.in (8.70 and 7.35 m.daN ) T.
       1 Use a counterwrench when coupling nut is installed on nipple.
   (10) Installation of the bonding strap (53) on the AGB assembly (1):
     (a) Install the bonding strap (53) in the correct position on the AGB assembly (1).
     (b) Install the bolt (54) to attach the bonding strap (53) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
     (c) TORQUE the bolt (54) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
   (11) Installation of the brackets on the AGB assembly (1):
     (a) Installation of the bracket (51) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (52) to attach the bracket (51) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (52) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (b) Installation of the bracket (49) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (50) to attach the bracket (49) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (50) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (c) Installation of the bracket (47) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (48) to attach the bracket (47) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (48) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (d) Installation of the bracket (45) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (46) to attach the bracket (45) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (46) to between 106.2 and 97.4 lbf.in (1.20 and 1.10 m.daN )
T.
     (e) Installation of the bracket (43) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (44) to attach the bracket (43) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (44) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (f) Installation of the bracket (41) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (42) to attach the bracket (41) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (42) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (g) Installation of the bracket (39) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (40) to attach the bracket (39) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (40) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (h) Installation of the bracket (37) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (38) to attach the bracket (37) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (38) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (i) Installation of the bracket (35) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (36) to attach the bracket (35) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (36) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (j) Installation of the bracket (33) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (34) to attach the bracket (33) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (34) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (k) Installation of the bracket (31) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the two bolts (32) to attach the bracket (31) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the two bolts (32) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (l) Installation of the bracket (29) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the three bolts (30) to attach the bracket (29) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the three bolts (30) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN )
T.
     (m) Installation of the bracket (27) on the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Lubricate the threads of the two bolts (28) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
       2 Install the two bolts (28) to attach the bracket (27) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten them with your hand.
       3 TORQUE the two bolts (28) to between 92.93 and 84.08 lbf.in (1.05 and 0.95 m.daN ) T.
   (12) Connection of the drain tubes to the AGB assembly (1):
     (a) Connection of the drain tube (25) to the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut (26) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
       2 Connect the coupling nut (26) of the drain tube (25) to the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
       3 TORQUE the coupling nut (26) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN ) T.
     (b) Connection of the drain tube (23) to the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut (24) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
       2 Connect the coupling nut (24) of the drain tube (23) to the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
       3 TORQUE the coupling nut (24) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN ) T.
     (c) Connection of the drain tube (19) to the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Install the bolt (21) on the clamp (22) to attach the drain tube (19) on the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
       2 TORQUE the bolt (21) to between 46.20 and 41.80 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
T.
       3 Connect the coupling nut (20) of the drain tube (19) to the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
       4 TORQUE the coupling nut (20) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
T.
     (d) Connection of the drain tube (9) to the AGB assembly (1):
       1 Lubricate the threads of the coupling nut (10) and the bolts (11), (13), (15) and (17) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
       2 Install the bolt (17) on the clamp (18) to attach the drain tube (9) on the bracket (49) and tighten it with your hand.
       3 TORQUE the bolt (17) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN ) T.
       4 Install the bolt (15) to the clamp (16) to attach the drain tube (9) on the bracket (41) and tighten it with your hand.
       5 TORQUE the bolt (15) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )
T.
       6 Install the bolt (13) to the clamp (14) to attach the drain tube (9) on the bracket (39) and tighten it with your hand.
       7 TORQUE the bolt (13) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )
T.
       8 Install the bolt (11) to the clamp (12) to attach the drain tube (9) on the bracket (35) and tighten it with your hand.
       9 TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 38 and 32 lbf.in (0.43 and 0.36 m.daN )
T.
       10 Connect the coupling nut (10) of the drain tube (9) to the AGB assembly (1) and tighten it with your hand.
       11 TORQUE the coupling nut (10) to between 300 and 270 lbf.in (3.39 and 3.05 m.daN )
T.
   (13) Engage the HJ3B harness (74) into the clips (
Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-805).
   (14) Engage the HJ3A harness (76) into the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-804).
   (15) Engage the HJ5B harness (75) into the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-809).
   (16) Engage the HJ6A harness (77) into the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-810).
   (17) Connection of the HJ6B harness (73):
     (a) Engage the HJ6B harness (73) into the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-400-811).
     (b) Install the bolt (72) on the clamp (66) and tighten it with your hand.
     (c) Install the bolt (67) on the clamp (68) and tighten it with your hand.
     (d) Install the bolt (69) on the clamp (71) and tighten it with your hand.
     (e) TORQUE the bolts (67), (69) and (72) to between 46.20 and 41.80 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ) T.
   (18) Install the fan fire detectors (
Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-18-400-801).
   (19) Install the oil pressure and temperature sensor (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-32-05-400-801).
   (20) Install the transfer shaft of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-41-400-801).
   (21) Connect the slider (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-00-400-803).
   (22) Install the lubrication unit (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-05-400-804).
   (23) Install the Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) stator (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-40-400-802).
   (24) Install the main fuel pump (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-05-400-801).
   (25) Install the Green Engine Driven Pump (EDP) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-51-400-808).
   (26) Install the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-400-806).
   (27) Install the pneumatic air starter (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-05-400-801).
   (28) Remove the 956A7613 ADAPTER, LOCK - CORE ENGINE from the AGB covers (handcracking cover) port.
   (29) Install the manual control cover (65) of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-400-801).
