Installation of the HJ6B Engine Wiring Harness
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-60-010-077-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.

A. Installation of the HJ6B Engine Wiring Harness
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(4) Installation of the bolts on the clamps to attach the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (26) on the clamp (23) and tighten it with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (26) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )

(c) Install the bolt (24) on the clamp (25) and tighten it with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (24) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(e) Install the bolt (22) on the clamp (21) and tighten it with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolt (22) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(g) Install the bolt (11) on the clamp (12) and tighten it with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(i) Install the bolt (13) on the clamp (10) and tighten it with your hand.
(j) TORQUE the bolt (13) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(5) Installation of the bolts and the nuts on the clamps to attach the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (19) and the nut (18) on the clamp (20) and tighten them with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the nut (18) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )

(c) Install the bolt (14) and the nut (15) on the clamp (16) and tighten them with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(e) Install the bolt (6) and the nut (5) on the clamp (4) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the nut (5) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(b) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P613B to the N2 sensor channel B receptacle (4065KS) (27) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(c) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P62B to the T12 sensor channel B receptacle J62B (4001KS) (17) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(d) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P610 to the Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) unit channel B receptacle (4074KS) (8) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(e) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P63B to the pressure sub-system (PSS) channel B receptacle (4700KS) (9) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(f) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) receptacle J61 (4144KS) to the HJ6A engine wiring harness connector P61 (4143KS) (7) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(g) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P6B to the EEC channel B J6 receptacle (4601KS2) (3) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(h) Tighten the electrical harness connectors until you cannot see the color marks on the receptacles.
(i) Make sure that the electrical harness connectors do not move after you fully engage them.
Remove the access platform(s).
5. Close-up(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HARNESS ORIENTATION AND POSITION IN THE CLAMPS GIVE THE MAXIMUM CLEARANCES WITH THE OTHER ENGINE PARTS. IF A CLEARANCE IS NOT SUFFICIENT, HARNESS CHAFING AND WEAR CAN OCCUR.
(3) Install the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) in the correct position in the 21 clips (2) along its routing. (4) Installation of the bolts on the clamps to attach the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (26) on the clamp (23) and tighten it with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (26) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (c) Install the bolt (24) on the clamp (25) and tighten it with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (24) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (e) Install the bolt (22) on the clamp (21) and tighten it with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolt (22) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (g) Install the bolt (11) on the clamp (12) and tighten it with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (i) Install the bolt (13) on the clamp (10) and tighten it with your hand.
(j) TORQUE the bolt (13) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (5) Installation of the bolts and the nuts on the clamps to attach the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (19) and the nut (18) on the clamp (20) and tighten them with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the nut (18) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (c) Install the bolt (14) and the nut (15) on the clamp (16) and tighten them with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the nut (15) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (e) Install the bolt (6) and the nut (5) on the clamp (4) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the nut (5) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST NOT USE PLIERS WITH METAL JAWS TO TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE CONNECTOR. THE METAL JAWS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CONNECTOR.
(6) Connection of the HJ6B engine wiring harness (4144KS) (1) connectors to these receptacles: NOTE: Only if necessary, use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT to connect the electrical connectors.
(a) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P68B to the oil pressure and temperature sensor channel B receptacle (4079KS) (28) (at the 10 o'clock position). (b) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P613B to the N2 sensor channel B receptacle (4065KS) (27) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(c) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P62B to the T12 sensor channel B receptacle J62B (4001KS) (17) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(d) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P610 to the Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) unit channel B receptacle (4074KS) (8) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(e) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P63B to the pressure sub-system (PSS) channel B receptacle (4700KS) (9) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(f) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) receptacle J61 (4144KS) to the HJ6A engine wiring harness connector P61 (4143KS) (7) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(g) Connect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector P6B to the EEC channel B J6 receptacle (4601KS2) (3) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(h) Tighten the electrical harness connectors until you cannot see the color marks on the receptacles.
(i) Make sure that the electrical harness connectors do not move after you fully engage them.
Remove the access platform(s).

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):

(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
