A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

4. Procedure
Subtask 72-62-00-420-061-A
WARNING: USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET ENGINE OIL FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED OIL MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. THE OIL CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
A. Connection of the Slider
   (1) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the transfer gearbox assembly (1).
   (2) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (3) Make sure that the mating faces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
   (4) Install the 956A7606 FIXTURE, REMOVE/INSTALL - TGB SLIDE on the transfer gearbox assembly (1).
   (5) Move the slider (15) forward in position into the recess of the Accessory Gearbox (AGB) (12).
   (6) Remove the 956A7606 FIXTURE, REMOVE/INSTALL - TGB SLIDE from the transfer gearbox assembly (1).
   (7) Lubricate the threads of the four bolts (14) with the graphite grease (Material No.CP2101) .
   (8) Put the two retainer segments (13) in the correct position.
   (9) Install the four bolts (14) that attach the transfer gearbox assembly (1) to the AGB (12) and tighten them with your hand.
   (10) TORQUE the four bolts (14) to between 101 and 93 lbf.in (1.14 and 1.05 m.daN ) T.
   (11) Installation of the fire shield blanket (9):
     (a) Put the fire shield blanket (9) in the correct position.
     (b) Install the three pins (10) to lock the fire shield blanket (9).
   (12) Connection of the oil tube (3) to the transfer gearbox assembly (1):
     (a) Lubricate the union (5) and the coupling nut (4) with the engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) .
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT: - THE OIL TUBE AND THE UNION ARE AXIALLY ALIGNED, AND - THERE IS NO STRESS ON THE OIL TUBE AFTER ITS INSTALLATION. INCORRECT ALIGNMENT OF THE OIL TUBE AND UNION, OR STRESS ON THE OIL TUBE CAN CAUSE OIL LEAKAGE.
     (b) Connect the oil tube (3) to the union (5) of the transfer gearbox assembly (1).
CAUTION: USE TWO WRENCHES TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE COUPLING NUT. ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION AND ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT. THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE HARDWARE.
     (c) TORQUE the coupling nut (4) to between 770 and 650 lbf.in (8.70 and 7.35 m.daN ) T.
   (13) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) from below the transfer gearbox assembly (1).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
447AL 448AR.
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
