Installation of the HJ6A Engine Wiring Harness
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-60-010-075-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
Subtask 73-21-60-420-065-A
A. Installation of the HJ6A Engine Wiring Harness (4143KS)
(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
(4) Installation of the bolts on the clamps to attach the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (49) on the clamp (44) and tighten it with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (49) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
.
(c) Install the bolt (50) on the clamp (51) and tighten it with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (50) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(e) Install the bolt (42) on the clamp (43) and tighten it with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolt (42) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(g) Install the bolt (35) on the clamp (34) and tighten it with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (35) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(i) Install the bolt (28) on the clamp (27) and tighten it with your hand.
(j) TORQUE the bolt (28) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(k) Install the bolt (21) on the clamp (22) and tighten it with your hand.
(l) TORQUE the bolt (21) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(m) Install the bolt (7) on the clamp (8) and tighten it with your hand.
(n) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(o) Install the bolt (9) on the clamp (10) and tighten it with your hand.
(p) TORQUE the bolt (9) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(q) Install the bolt (11) on the clamp (12) and tighten it with your hand.
(r) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(s) Install the bolt (3) on the clamp (4) and tighten it with your hand.
(t) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(5) Installation of the bolts and nuts on the clamps to attach the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (55) and nut (54) on the clamp (56) and tighten them with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (55) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(c) Install the bolt (39) and nut (40) on the clamp (37) and clamp (41) and tighten them with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (39) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(e) Install the bolt (31) and nut (29) on the clamp (30) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the nut (29) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(g) Install the bolt (23) and nut (25) on the clamp (24) and tighten them with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (25) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(b) Install the two bolts (18) to attach the connector socket (19) on the bracket (15) and HJ5B engine wiring harness connector (14) (at the 3 o'clock position) and tighten them with your hand.
(c) TORQUE the two bolts (18) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(d) Connect the connector socket (13) in the correct position on the bracket (15).
(e) Install the two bolts (16) to attach the connector socket (13) on the bracket (15) and HJ6B engine wiring harness connector (4144KS) (17) (at the 3 o'clock position) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the two bolts (16) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN ).
(g) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P67 to the oil filter differential pressure sensor (4077KS) (53) (at the 8 o'clock position).
(h) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P613A to the N2 sensor channel A receptacle (4065KS) (52) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(i) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P64 (45) to the starter air valve receptacle (4005KS) (46) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(j) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P614 (48) to the starter air valve (4005KS) receptacle (47) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(k) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P68A to the oil pressure and temperature sensor channel A receptacle (4079KS) (38) (at the 10 o'clock position).
(l) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P65 to the fuel strainer differential pressure sensor (4081KS) (36) (at the 11 o'clock position).
(m) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P66 to the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (4002KS) (33) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(n) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P62A to the T12 Sensor channel receptacle J62A (4001KS) (32) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(o) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P611 to the nacelle anti-ice pressure sensor (4003DN) (26) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(p) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P63A to the pressure sub-system channel A receptacle (4700KS) (20) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(q) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P69 to the oil level sensor (4075KS) (6) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(r) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P6A to the EEC channel A J6 receptacle (4601KS1) (5) (at the 2 o'clock position).
(s) Tighten the electrical harness connectors until you cannot see the color marks on the receptacles.
(t) Make sure that the electrical harness connectors do not move after you fully engage them.
5. Close-up(1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION from all the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
(2) Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and clear of unwanted materials.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE HARNESS ORIENTATION AND POSITION IN THE CLAMPS GIVE THE MAXIMUM CLEARANCES WITH THE OTHER ENGINE PARTS. IF A CLEARANCE IS NOT SUFFICIENT, HARNESS CHAFING AND WEAR CAN OCCUR.
(3) Install the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) in the correct position in the 35 clips (2) along its routing. (4) Installation of the bolts on the clamps to attach the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (49) on the clamp (44) and tighten it with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (49) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (c) Install the bolt (50) on the clamp (51) and tighten it with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (50) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (e) Install the bolt (42) on the clamp (43) and tighten it with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the bolt (42) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (g) Install the bolt (35) on the clamp (34) and tighten it with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (35) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (i) Install the bolt (28) on the clamp (27) and tighten it with your hand.
(j) TORQUE the bolt (28) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (k) Install the bolt (21) on the clamp (22) and tighten it with your hand.
(l) TORQUE the bolt (21) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (m) Install the bolt (7) on the clamp (8) and tighten it with your hand.
(n) TORQUE the bolt (7) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (o) Install the bolt (9) on the clamp (10) and tighten it with your hand.
(p) TORQUE the bolt (9) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (q) Install the bolt (11) on the clamp (12) and tighten it with your hand.
(r) TORQUE the bolt (11) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (s) Install the bolt (3) on the clamp (4) and tighten it with your hand.
(t) TORQUE the bolt (3) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (5) Installation of the bolts and nuts on the clamps to attach the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Install the bolt (55) and nut (54) on the clamp (56) and tighten them with your hand.
(b) TORQUE the bolt (55) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (c) Install the bolt (39) and nut (40) on the clamp (37) and clamp (41) and tighten them with your hand.
(d) TORQUE the bolt (39) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (e) Install the bolt (31) and nut (29) on the clamp (30) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the nut (29) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (g) Install the bolt (23) and nut (25) on the clamp (24) and tighten them with your hand.
(h) TORQUE the bolt (25) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST NOT USE PLIERS WITH METAL JAWS TO TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE CONNECTOR. THE METAL JAWS WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CONNECTOR.
(6) Connection of the HJ6A engine wiring harness (4143KS) (1) connectors to these receptacles: NOTE: Only if necessary, use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT to connect the electrical connectors.
(a) Connect the connector socket (19) in the correct position on the bracket (15). (b) Install the two bolts (18) to attach the connector socket (19) on the bracket (15) and HJ5B engine wiring harness connector (14) (at the 3 o'clock position) and tighten them with your hand.
(c) TORQUE the two bolts (18) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (d) Connect the connector socket (13) in the correct position on the bracket (15).
(e) Install the two bolts (16) to attach the connector socket (13) on the bracket (15) and HJ6B engine wiring harness connector (4144KS) (17) (at the 3 o'clock position) and tighten them with your hand.
(f) TORQUE the two bolts (16) to between 46.2 and 41.8 lbf.in (0.52 and 0.47 m.daN )
. (g) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P67 to the oil filter differential pressure sensor (4077KS) (53) (at the 8 o'clock position).
(h) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P613A to the N2 sensor channel A receptacle (4065KS) (52) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(i) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P64 (45) to the starter air valve receptacle (4005KS) (46) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(j) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P614 (48) to the starter air valve (4005KS) receptacle (47) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(k) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P68A to the oil pressure and temperature sensor channel A receptacle (4079KS) (38) (at the 10 o'clock position).
(l) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P65 to the fuel strainer differential pressure sensor (4081KS) (36) (at the 11 o'clock position).
(m) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P66 to the fuel filter differential pressure sensor (4002KS) (33) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(n) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P62A to the T12 Sensor channel receptacle J62A (4001KS) (32) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(o) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P611 to the nacelle anti-ice pressure sensor (4003DN) (26) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(p) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P63A to the pressure sub-system channel A receptacle (4700KS) (20) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(q) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P69 to the oil level sensor (4075KS) (6) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(r) Connect the HJ6A engine wiring harness (1) connector P6A to the EEC channel A J6 receptacle (4601KS1) (5) (at the 2 o'clock position).
(s) Tighten the electrical harness connectors until you cannot see the color marks on the receptacles.
(t) Make sure that the electrical harness connectors do not move after you fully engage them.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
