A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 72-63-00-010-077-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.

B. Get Access
(1) Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-806):

4. Procedure(1) Remove the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-11-000-806):

WARNING:
USE PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT. USE THE ENGINE OIL IN A WELL-VENTILATED AREA. ENGINE OIL IS TOXIC.
Subtask 72-63-00-020-074-B A. Removal of the AGB Assembly
(2) Drain the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-802).
(3) Remove the manual control cover (65) of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-000-801).
(4) Install the 956A7613 ADAPTER, LOCK - CORE ENGINE through the AGB covers (handcranking cover) port to block the N2 rotor.
(5) Remove the pneumatic air starter (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-05-000-801).
(6) Remove the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-000-806).
(7) Remove the Green Engine Driven Pump (EDP) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-51-000-808).
(8) Remove the main fuel pump (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-05-000-801).
(9) Remove the Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) stator (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-40-000-802).
(10) Remove the lubrication unit (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-05-000-804).
(11) Disconnect the slider (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-00-000-803).
(12) Remove the transfer shaft of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-41-000-801).
(13) Remove the oil pressure and temperature sensor (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-32-05-000-801).
(14) Remove the fan fire detectors (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-18-000-801).
(15) Disconnection of the HJ6B harness (73):
(a) Remove the bolt (72) from the clamp (66).
(b) Remove the bolt (67) from the clamp (68).
(c) Remove the bolt (69) from the clamp (71).
(d) Disengage the HJ6B harness (73) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-811).
(16) Disengage the HJ6A harness (77) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-810).
(17) Disengage the HJ5B harness (75) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-809).
(18) Disengage the HJ3A harness (76) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-804).
(19) Disengage the HJ3B harness (74) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-805).
(20) Disconnection of the drain tubes from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Removal of the drain tube (9) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (10) of the drain tube (9).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (9) from the AGB assembly (1).
3 Remove the bolt (11) from the clamp (12) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (35).
4 Remove the bolt (13) from the clamp (14) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (39).
5 Remove the bolt (15) from the clamp (16) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (41).
6 Remove the bolt (17) from the clamp (18) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (49).
(b) Disconnection of the drain tube (19) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (20) of the drain tube (19).
2 Remove the bolt (21) from the clamp (22) that attaches the drain tube (19) to the AGB assembly (1).
3 Disconnect the drain tube (19) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Disconnection of the drain tube (23) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (24) of the drain tube (23).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (23) from the AGB assembly (1).
(d) Removal of the drain tube (25) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (26) of the drain tube (25).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the AGB assembly (1).
(21) Removal of the brackets from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the two bolts (28) that attach the bracket (27) to the AGB assembly (1).
(b) Remove the bracket (27) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Remove the three bolts (30) that attach the bracket (29) to the AGB assembly (1).
(d) Remove the bracket (29) from the AGB assembly (1).
(e) Remove the two bolts (32) that attach the bracket (31) to the AGB assembly (1).
(f) Remove the bracket (31) from the AGB assembly (1).
(g) Remove the two bolts (34) that attach the bracket (33) to the AGB assembly (1).
(h) Remove the bracket (33) from the AGB assembly (1).
(i) Remove the two bolts (36) that attach the bracket (35) to the AGB assembly (1).
(j) Remove the bracket (35) from the AGB assembly (1).
(k) Remove the two bolts (38) that attach the bracket (37) to the AGB assembly (1).
(l) Remove the bracket (37) from the AGB assembly (1).
(m) Remove the two bolts (40) that attach the bracket (39) to the AGB assembly (1).
(n) Remove the bracket (39) from the AGB assembly (1).
(o) Remove the two bolts (42) that attach the bracket (41) to the AGB assembly (1).
(p) Remove the bracket (41) from the AGB assembly (1).
(q) Remove the two bolts (44) that attach the bracket (43) to the AGB assembly (1).
(r) Remove the bracket (43) from the AGB assembly (1).
(s) Remove the two bolts (46) that attach the bracket (45) to the AGB assembly (1).
(t) Remove the bracket (45) from the AGB assembly (1).
(u) Remove the two bolts (48) that attach the bracket (47) to the AGB assembly (1).
(v) Remove the bracket (47) from the AGB assembly (1).
(w) Remove the two bolts (50) that attach the bracket (49) to the AGB assembly (1).
(x) Remove the bracket (49) from the AGB assembly (1).
(y) Remove the two bolts (52) that attach the bracket (51) to the AGB assembly (1).
(z) Remove the bracket (51) from the AGB assembly (1).
(22) Removal of the bonding strap (53) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the bolt (54) that attaches the bonding strap (53) to the AGB assembly (1).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (53) from the AGB assembly (1).
(23) Disconnection of the oil tube (55) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Loosen the coupling nut (56) of the oil tube (55).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (55) from the AGB assembly (1).
(24) Disconnection of the oil tube (57) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (58) from the oil tube (57).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (57) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Remove and discard the c-seal (59) from the oil tube (57).
(25) Removal of the AGB assembly (1):
1 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the stirrup assembly (60).
2 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the axial link assembly (61).
3 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the link assembly (62).
(c) Remove the AGB gearbox assembly (1) from the spigot assembly (63) that attaches to the fan frame shroud (64).
(26) Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the engine.
(27) Remove the 956A7018 FIXTURE, REMOVE/ INSTALL - AGB ASSEMBLY from the AGB assembly (1).
(28) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the openings, tubes, hoses and disconnected connectors.
(29) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) from below the AGB assembly (1).
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT RIGID TUBES.
IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
(1) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the AGB assembly (1). (2) Drain the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-13-79-610-802).
(3) Remove the manual control cover (65) of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-63-03-000-801).
(4) Install the 956A7613 ADAPTER, LOCK - CORE ENGINE through the AGB covers (handcranking cover) port to block the N2 rotor.
(5) Remove the pneumatic air starter (3) (Ref. AMM TASK 80-11-05-000-801).
(6) Remove the Integrated Drive Generator (IDG) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-51-000-806).
(7) Remove the Green Engine Driven Pump (EDP) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-51-000-808).
(8) Remove the main fuel pump (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-05-000-801).
(9) Remove the Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMA) stator (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-40-000-802).
(10) Remove the lubrication unit (6) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-05-000-804).
(11) Disconnect the slider (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-00-000-803).
(12) Remove the transfer shaft of the AGB assembly (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 72-62-41-000-801).
(13) Remove the oil pressure and temperature sensor (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 79-32-05-000-801).
(14) Remove the fan fire detectors (Ref. AMM TASK 26-12-18-000-801).
(15) Disconnection of the HJ6B harness (73):
(a) Remove the bolt (72) from the clamp (66).
(b) Remove the bolt (67) from the clamp (68).
(c) Remove the bolt (69) from the clamp (71).
(d) Disengage the HJ6B harness (73) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-811).
(16) Disengage the HJ6A harness (77) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-810).
(17) Disengage the HJ5B harness (75) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-809).
(18) Disengage the HJ3A harness (76) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-804).
(19) Disengage the HJ3B harness (74) from the clips (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-60-000-805).
(20) Disconnection of the drain tubes from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Removal of the drain tube (9) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (10) of the drain tube (9).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (9) from the AGB assembly (1).
3 Remove the bolt (11) from the clamp (12) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (35).
4 Remove the bolt (13) from the clamp (14) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (39).
5 Remove the bolt (15) from the clamp (16) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (41).
6 Remove the bolt (17) from the clamp (18) that attaches the drain tube (9) to the bracket (49).
(b) Disconnection of the drain tube (19) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (20) of the drain tube (19).
2 Remove the bolt (21) from the clamp (22) that attaches the drain tube (19) to the AGB assembly (1).
3 Disconnect the drain tube (19) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Disconnection of the drain tube (23) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (24) of the drain tube (23).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (23) from the AGB assembly (1).
(d) Removal of the drain tube (25) from the AGB assembly (1):
1 Loosen the coupling nut (26) of the drain tube (25).
2 Disconnect the drain tube (25) from the AGB assembly (1).
(21) Removal of the brackets from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the two bolts (28) that attach the bracket (27) to the AGB assembly (1).
(b) Remove the bracket (27) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Remove the three bolts (30) that attach the bracket (29) to the AGB assembly (1).
(d) Remove the bracket (29) from the AGB assembly (1).
(e) Remove the two bolts (32) that attach the bracket (31) to the AGB assembly (1).
(f) Remove the bracket (31) from the AGB assembly (1).
(g) Remove the two bolts (34) that attach the bracket (33) to the AGB assembly (1).
(h) Remove the bracket (33) from the AGB assembly (1).
(i) Remove the two bolts (36) that attach the bracket (35) to the AGB assembly (1).
(j) Remove the bracket (35) from the AGB assembly (1).
(k) Remove the two bolts (38) that attach the bracket (37) to the AGB assembly (1).
(l) Remove the bracket (37) from the AGB assembly (1).
(m) Remove the two bolts (40) that attach the bracket (39) to the AGB assembly (1).
(n) Remove the bracket (39) from the AGB assembly (1).
(o) Remove the two bolts (42) that attach the bracket (41) to the AGB assembly (1).
(p) Remove the bracket (41) from the AGB assembly (1).
(q) Remove the two bolts (44) that attach the bracket (43) to the AGB assembly (1).
(r) Remove the bracket (43) from the AGB assembly (1).
(s) Remove the two bolts (46) that attach the bracket (45) to the AGB assembly (1).
(t) Remove the bracket (45) from the AGB assembly (1).
(u) Remove the two bolts (48) that attach the bracket (47) to the AGB assembly (1).
(v) Remove the bracket (47) from the AGB assembly (1).

(22) Removal of the bonding strap (53) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the bolt (54) that attaches the bonding strap (53) to the AGB assembly (1).
(b) Remove the bonding strap (53) from the AGB assembly (1).
(23) Disconnection of the oil tube (55) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Loosen the coupling nut (56) of the oil tube (55).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (55) from the AGB assembly (1).
(24) Disconnection of the oil tube (57) from the AGB assembly (1):
(a) Remove the four bolts (58) from the oil tube (57).
(b) Disconnect the oil tube (57) from the AGB assembly (1).
(c) Remove and discard the c-seal (59) from the oil tube (57).
(25) Removal of the AGB assembly (1):
WARNING:
MOVE THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX ASSEMBLY AND/OR THE GSE SLOWLY. THE ACCESSORY GEARBOX ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(a) Install the 956A7018 FIXTURE, REMOVE/ INSTALL - AGB ASSEMBLY on the AGB assembly (1). NOTE: The ABG assembly (1) weighs 101.4 lb (46 kg).
(b) Removal of the AGB assembly (1) from the AGB links (Ref. AMM TASK 72-23-06-000-801): 1 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the stirrup assembly (60).
2 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the axial link assembly (61).
3 Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the link assembly (62).
(c) Remove the AGB gearbox assembly (1) from the spigot assembly (63) that attaches to the fan frame shroud (64).
(26) Remove the AGB assembly (1) from the engine.
(27) Remove the 956A7018 FIXTURE, REMOVE/ INSTALL - AGB ASSEMBLY from the AGB assembly (1).
(28) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the openings, tubes, hoses and disconnected connectors.
(29) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) from below the AGB assembly (1).
