BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 73-21-60-010-076-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position.
Subtask 73-21-60-020-062-A
A. Removal of the HJ6B Engine Wiring Harness (4144KS)
(b) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the HJ6A engine wiring harness receptacle (4143KS) (7) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(c) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the PSS channel B receptacle (4700KS) (9) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(d) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) unit channel B receptacle (4074KS) (8) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(e) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the T12 sensor channel B receptacle (4001KS) (17) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(f) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the N2 sensor channel B receptacle (4065KS) (27) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(g) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the oil pressure and temperature sensor channel B receptacle (4079KS) (28) (at the 10 o'clock position).
(2) Removal of the nuts and bolts from the clamps that attach to the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Remove the nut (5) and bolt (6) from the clamp (4).
(b) Remove the nut (15) and bolt (14) from the clamp (16).
(c) Remove the nut (18) and bolt (19) from the clamp (20).
(3) Removal of the bolts from the clamps that attach to the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Remove the bolt (13) from the clamp (10).
(b) Remove the bolt (11) from the clamp (12).
(c) Remove the bolt (22) from the clamp (21).
(d) Remove the bolt (24) from the clamp (25).
(e) Remove the bolt (26) from the clamp (23).
(4) Remove the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) from the 21 clips (2) along its routing.
(5) Carefully remove the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) from the engine.
(6) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
USE PLIERS THAT HAVE TEFLON JAWS TO TIGHTEN OR LOOSEN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS. DO NOT USE PLIERS THAT HAVE METAL JAWS. METAL JAWS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS.
(1) Disconnection of the HJ6B engine wiring harness (4144KS) (1): NOTE: If necessary , use PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT to disconnect the electrical connectors.
(a) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the EEC channel B J6 receptacle (4601KS2) (3) (at the 3 o'clock position). (b) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the HJ6A engine wiring harness receptacle (4143KS) (7) (at the 4 o'clock position).
(c) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the PSS channel B receptacle (4700KS) (9) (at the 4:30 o'clock position).
(d) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the Oil Debris Monitoring (ODM) unit channel B receptacle (4074KS) (8) (at the 3 o'clock position).
(e) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the T12 sensor channel B receptacle (4001KS) (17) (at the 12 o'clock position).
(f) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the N2 sensor channel B receptacle (4065KS) (27) (at the 9 o'clock position).
(g) Disconnect the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) connector from the oil pressure and temperature sensor channel B receptacle (4079KS) (28) (at the 10 o'clock position).
(2) Removal of the nuts and bolts from the clamps that attach to the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Remove the nut (5) and bolt (6) from the clamp (4).
(b) Remove the nut (15) and bolt (14) from the clamp (16).
(c) Remove the nut (18) and bolt (19) from the clamp (20).
(3) Removal of the bolts from the clamps that attach to the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1):
(a) Remove the bolt (13) from the clamp (10).
(b) Remove the bolt (11) from the clamp (12).
(c) Remove the bolt (22) from the clamp (21).
(d) Remove the bolt (24) from the clamp (25).
(e) Remove the bolt (26) from the clamp (23).
(4) Remove the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) from the 21 clips (2) along its routing.
(5) Carefully remove the HJ6B engine wiring harness (1) from the engine.
(6) Install the COVER - PROTECTION and the CAP - PROTECTION on all the open ports, open tubes, open hoses and disconnected connectors.
