Subtask 49-90-00-860-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
Subtask 49-90-00-865-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) On the panel 25VU make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
WARNING:
USE THE CORRECT PERSONAL PROTECTION.
OIL CAN HAVE ADDITIVE CALLED TRICRESYL PHOSPHATE IN IT. THIS CHEMICAL IS AN ASPHYXIANT, IT IS POISONOUS AND CAN BE ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN.
USE CARE WHEN ENGINE OIL IS DRAINED. HOT OIL CAN POSSIBLY CAUSE BAD BURNS.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
Subtask 49-90-00-612-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Brand/Type Oil Change
(2) Remove the filler cap to let the oil to drain quicker.
(3) Remove the magnetic element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-000-002) and install the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX.
(6) Close and lock the filler cap.
(7) Remove the remaining oil from the gravity oil filler and dry it with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(8) If you fill the APU oil reservoir with an oil which is of a new brand or type:
(a) Replace the oil placard to show the new oil type or brand correctly.
(b) Make an entry in the logbook that the APU oil reservoir is filled with a new oil type or brand.
(9) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
Subtask 49-90-00-860-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: Do the Oil Level inspection check and servicing a minimum of 15 minutes after the last shutdown. Do not re-service before the APU is operated again.
(1) Position the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the magnetic drain plug. (2) Remove the filler cap to let the oil to drain quicker.
(3) Remove the magnetic element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-000-002) and install the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX.
NOTE: If TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX is not available, remove the complete drain plug.
NOTE: If you think that the condition of the drained oil is not correct, do a sampling of the APU oil for analysis (Ref. AMM TASK 12-32-49-281-001).
(4) Remove the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX and install the magnetic element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-400-002). NOTE: If the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX was not available, install the complete magnetic drain plug.
(5) Fill the APU reservoir with new specification brand or type oil. (6) Close and lock the filler cap.
(7) Remove the remaining oil from the gravity oil filler and dry it with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(8) If you fill the APU oil reservoir with an oil which is of a new brand or type:
(a) Replace the oil placard to show the new oil type or brand correctly.
(b) Make an entry in the logbook that the APU oil reservoir is filled with a new oil type or brand.
(9) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
B. Start and Operate the APU
(1) Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(2) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(3) Let the APU run 10 minutes.
(4) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(5) Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
Subtask 49-90-00-960-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Close the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(2) Start the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).
(3) Let the APU run 10 minutes.
(4) Stop the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(5) Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
C. Replacement of the Oil filters
(2) Remove the filler cap to let the oil to drain quicker.
(3) Remove the magnetic element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-000-002) and install the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX.
(5) Replace the pressure oil filter-element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-41-920-001).
(6) Replace the AC generator scavenge filter-element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-41-920-002).
(7) Fill the APU reservoir with new specification brand or type oil.
(8) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
5. Close-upNOTE: Do the Oil level inspection check and servicing a minimum of 15 minutes after the last shutdown. Do not re-service before the APU is operated again.
(1) Position the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the magnetic drain plug. (2) Remove the filler cap to let the oil to drain quicker.
(3) Remove the magnetic element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-000-002) and install the TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX.
NOTE: If TB9069G001 DRAINING TUBE-GEARBOX is not available, remove the complete drain plug.
NOTE: If you think that the condition of the drained oil is not correct, do a sampling of the APU oil for analysis (Ref. AMM TASK 12-32-49-281-001).
(4) Install the drain plug (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-42-400-002). (5) Replace the pressure oil filter-element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-41-920-001).
(6) Replace the AC generator scavenge filter-element (Ref. AMM TASK 49-91-41-920-002).
(7) Fill the APU reservoir with new specification brand or type oil.
(8) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
Subtask 49-90-00-410-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
Subtask 49-90-00-865-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test
(1) Operate the APU for five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) and (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(2) Open the access door 315AL.
(3) Examine the drain plug and oil filters for leaks.
Subtask 49-90-00-410-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Operate the APU for five minutes (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) and (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).
(2) Open the access door 315AL.
(3) Examine the drain plug and oil filters for leaks.
NOTE: No leaks are permitted.
D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
Subtask 49-90-00-860-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Set the LIGHT control switch 11LJ to the off position.
(3) Close the APU access doors 315AL (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
E. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
