A. Functional Check of LGCIU Power Supply Relays (60GA/61GA)
   (1) Do the functional check of relay 60GA, as follows:
ACTION
RESULT
1.Make sure that the circuit breakers that follow are open:
  • 1GA, 2GA, 52GA, 58GA and 59GA.
On the lower ECAM Display Unit (DU) Wheel page:
  • All the LG symbols are amber 'XX'.
  • LGCIU1 and LGCIU2 are set to off.
2.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 52GA.
LGCIU1 is set to on.
3.Do a check of the lower ECAM DU Wheel page.
Some of the 'XX' symbols will change to green triangles and some 'XX' symbols will stay amber below the MLG LEFT, the MLG RIGHT and the NLG.
4.Do a BITE test of LGCIU1 at the MCDU (Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-740-001).
The MCDU shows the message 'test OK'.
5.On panel 121VU:
  • Make sure that circuit breaker 52GA is closed.
  • Open circuit breaker 52GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:
  • All the LG symbols are amber 'XX' below the MLG LEFT, the MLG RIGHT and the NLG.
  • LGCIU1 is set to off.
6.On panel 49VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 1GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:
  • Some of the amber 'XX' symbols change to green triangles.
  • LGCIU1 is set to on.
7.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 58GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page there is no change to the display.
8.On panel 49VU:
  • Open circuit breaker 1GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:
  • Make sure that the symbols stay green triangles for 10 seconds +/- 2 seconds. The green triangles then change to amber 'XX' below the MLG LEFT, the MLG RIGHT and the NLG.
9.On panel 121VU:
  • Open circuit breaker 58GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page there is no change to the display.
   (2) Do the functional check of relay 61GA, as follows:
ACTION
RESULT
1.Make sure that the circuit breakers that follow are open:
  • 1GA, 2GA, 52GA, 58GA and 59GA
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:
  • All the LG symbols are amber 'XX'.
  • LGCIU1 and LGCIU2 are set to off.
2.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 2GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:
  • Some of the amber 'XX' symbols change to green triangles.
  • LGCIU2 is set to on.
3.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 59GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page, there is no change to the display.
4.On panel 121VU:
  • Open circuit breaker 2GA.
On the lower ECAM DU Wheel page:

NOTE: To do the BITE test of LGCIU2, the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS) must receive a ground signal from LGCIU1.

The MCDU shows the message 'test OK'.
6.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 58GA.

7.On panel 121VU:
  • Close circuit breaker 52GA.

NOTE: When the LGCIU circuit breakers are open, the fuel used indication shown on the ENG page and the FUEL USED page will change to 'degraded' mode. The fuel used indication will show as dashes. It is necessary to start the engines to show the correct display of the fuel used indication.
NOTE: After the LGCIU power supply relay test, make sure the Cabin Pressure Control (CPC) is in ground mode.
   (3) Re-set the CPC:
     (a) For CPC 1:
       1 Open circuit breaker 1HL.
2 After two seconds minimum, close circuit breaker 1HL.
       3 Do steps 1_ and 2_ again.
     (b) For CPC 2:
       1 Open circuit breakers 2HL and 3HL.
2 After two seconds minimum, close circuit breakers 2HL and 3HL.
       3 Do steps 1_ and 2_ again.
NOTE: When the circuit breaker(s) for the related CPC is(are) closed again the CPC power-up test starts.
   (4) Do an operational test of the pressure control and monitoring (Ref. AMM TASK 21-31-00-710-002).
