This task is applicable for Aircraft with the Yellow High-Pressure Manifold P/N D29070171 series.
This task is not applicable for Aircraft with the Yellow High-Pressure Manifold P/N 1553A9900 series.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (5) Make sure that the access door 196BB is open.
   (6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
   (7) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-19-51-420-052-A
A. Installation of the Solenoid Valve 3150GP
   (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Lubricate the new:
  • Back-up rings (20), (12), (17) and (9)
  • O-rings (18) and (19)
  • Square-section seals (16) and (21) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
   (5) Put the two new AIPC 29-13-14-02-290 BACK-UP RINGS (20) in position on the sides of the bobbins (11) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
   (6) Put the two new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-300 SQUARE-SECTION SEALS (21) in position on the sides of the bobbins (11) without the identification grooves (equipment side).
   (7) Put the two new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-280 BACK-UP RINGS (12) in position on the sides of the bobbins (11) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
   (8) Put the two new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-270 O-RINGS (19) in position on the sides of the bobbins (11) with the identification grooves (manifold side).
   (9) Remove the blanking plugs from the open ports of the manifold (13) and the solenoid valve (6).
   (10) Install the bobbins (11) with the identification grooves in the ports of the manifold (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
   (11) Put the new AIPC 29-13-14-02-240 BACK-UP RING (17) in position on the side of the bobbin (10) without the identification groove (equipment side).
   (12) Put the new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-250 SQUARE-SECTION SEAL (16) in position on the side of the bobbin (10) without the identification groove (equipment side).
   (13) Put the new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-230 BACK-UP RING (9) in position on the side of the bobbin (10) with the identification groove (manifold side).
   (14) Put the new
AIPC 29-13-14-02-220 O-RING (18) in position on the side of the bobbin (10) with the identification groove (manifold side).
   (15) Install the bobbin (10) with the identification groove in the port of the manifold (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-21-911-001).
   (16) Put the solenoid valve (6) in position on the manifold (13).
   (17) Install the bolts (7) and the washers (8).
   (18) TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in ) T.
   (19) Install the bonding strap (5) together with the bolt (4), the washer (3) and the nut (2) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (20) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (1) and from the receptacle.
   (21) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE BONDING STRAP(S) IS(ARE) CONNECTED BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S).
   (22) Connect the electrical connector (1).
   (23) Remove the warning notices from the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system and from the overhead panel.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test of the Solenoid Valve 3150GP
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (3) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
   (4) Examine the solenoid valve connection and make sure that there are no leaks.
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (6) Do this Test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal:
  • Push the HYD pushbutton.
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • The HYD page is shown.
2.On the overhead panel 50VU:
  • Lift the guard and set the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVE / Y pushbutton switch to OFF (the OFF light comes on).
In less than 15 s on the ECAM lower DU:
  • The color of the system name and system arrow changes to amber.
3.On the overhead panel 50VU:
  • Lift the guard and set the HYD/LEAK MEASUREMENT VALVE / Y pushbutton switch to on (the OFF light goes off).
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • The color of the system name changes to white.
  • The color of the system arrow changes to green.
   (7) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
   (8) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (9) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
5. Close-up

A. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Remove the container.
   (2) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access panel 196BB.
