B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(2) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the water service panel to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
(4) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 25-43-00-00).
Subtask 25-43-42-865-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).
(2) Depressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position on the water service panel to tell persons not to pressurize the potable water system.
(4) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 25-43-00-00).

D. Get Access
(1) In the aft compartment:
(a) Remove the related passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the wall-mounted cabin-attendant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the panels:
1 Remove the ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
2 Remove the cove light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
3 Remove the upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
4 Remove the lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
5 Remove the door frame lining-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(2) In the lavatory:
(a) Remove the lavatory doors (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
(b) Remove the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(d) Remove the emergency oxygen container 34WR (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) In the aft compartment:
(a) Remove the related passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
(b) Remove the wall-mounted cabin-attendant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-22-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the panels:
1 Remove the ceiling panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
2 Remove the cove light panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
3 Remove the upper sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-43-000-001).
4 Remove the lower sidewall panel (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-44-000-001).
5 Remove the door frame lining-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-004).
(2) In the lavatory:
(a) Remove the lavatory doors (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-19-000-001).
(b) Remove the toilet assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-41-000-001).
(c) Remove the toilet shroud (Ref. AMM TASK 25-45-22-000-001).
(d) Remove the emergency oxygen container 34WR (Ref. AMM TASK 35-21-41-000-001).
Subtask 25-43-42-020-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pelmet
(2) Remove the bolt (1) and washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(4) Remove the screws (4).
(5) Remove the pelmet (5).
Subtask 25-43-42-020-072-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.(2) Remove the bolt (1) and washer (2) and disconnect the bonding strap (3).
(3) Safety the bonding strap (3) to the top of the lavatory.
(4) Remove the screws (4).
(5) Remove the pelmet (5).
B. Removal of the Electrical Connections
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Cut and discard the tie wraps (3).
(3) Disconnect electrical connectors 7198VC-A (1) and 7196VC-A (2).
(4) Release the electrical harnesses (4).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Safety the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the aircraft structure.
Subtask 25-43-42-020-073-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Cut and discard the tie wraps (3).
(3) Disconnect electrical connectors 7198VC-A (1) and 7196VC-A (2).
(4) Release the electrical harnesses (4).
(5) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Safety the electrical connectors (1) and (2) to the aircraft structure.
C. Removal of the Air Connections
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) from the tube (3).
(3) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(4) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-43-42-020-074-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Loosen the clamp (2) and disconnect the air-extraction hose (1) from the tube (3).
(3) Loosen the clamp (5) and disconnect the ventilation hose (4) from the tube (6).
(4) Remove the clamps (2) and (5).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
D. Removal of the Water Connections
(2) Disconnect the potable water connections as follows:
(a) Remove the nuts (3), bolts (4) and washers (2) and disconnect the bonding straps (1).
(b) Loosen the nut (14) and disconnect the potable water hose (16) from the tube (15).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
(b) Remove the clamp (12).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the vacuum drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (8) and move the sleeve (7) from the vacuum waste line (5).
(b) Disconnect the vacuum waste line (5) from the vacuum waste tube (10).
(c) Remove and discard the O-rings (6) and (9).
(d) Remove the sleeve (7).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
Subtask 25-43-42-020-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIPMENT YOU USE FOR THIS PROCEDURE IS CLEAN AND APPROVED FOR THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. IF NOT IT CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM.
WARNING:
BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION. (CONTAMINATION FROM TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS TO HEALTH).
(1) Put the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) in position below the water connections that you will disconnect. (2) Disconnect the potable water connections as follows:
(a) Remove the nuts (3), bolts (4) and washers (2) and disconnect the bonding straps (1).
(b) Loosen the nut (14) and disconnect the potable water hose (16) from the tube (15).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(3) Disconnect the waste-water drain connection as follows:
CAUTION:
MAKE MATCH MARK ON THE WASTE WATER AND AIR OUTLET HOSES AND ON THEIR RELATED CONNECTIONS.
IF YOU CONNECT ONE OF THESE HOSES TO THE CONNECTION OF THE OTHER HOSE, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Loosen the clamp (12) and disconnect the drain tube (11) from the pipe (13). (b) Remove the clamp (12).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Disconnect the vacuum drain connection as follows:
(a) Remove the clamp (8) and move the sleeve (7) from the vacuum waste line (5).
(b) Disconnect the vacuum waste line (5) from the vacuum waste tube (10).
(c) Remove and discard the O-rings (6) and (9).
(d) Remove the sleeve (7).
(e) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
E. Removal of the Upper Attachment(s)
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) If the tie-rod (3) is installed, remove it as follows:
(a) Hold the tie-rod (3) in position and remove the quick-release pins (4) and (5).
(b) Remove the tie-rod (3).
(3) Hold the tie-rod (7) in position and remove the quick-release pins (6) and (10).
(4) Remove the tie-rod (7).
Subtask 25-43-42-020-076-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) If the tie-rod (3) is installed, remove it as follows:
(a) Hold the tie-rod (3) in position and remove the quick-release pins (4) and (5).
(b) Remove the tie-rod (3).
(3) Hold the tie-rod (7) in position and remove the quick-release pins (6) and (10).
(4) Remove the tie-rod (7).
F. Removal of the Lower Attachments
(1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the covers (3).
(3) Remove the bolts (8).
(4) If installed, remove the washers (7).
(5) Remove the washers (6) and the eccentric bushes (5) and (4).
(7) Remove and discard the packings (1).
(8) Remove the bushes (2).
Subtask 25-43-42-020-077-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
(2) Remove the covers (3).
(3) Remove the bolts (8).
(4) If installed, remove the washers (7).
(5) Remove the washers (6) and the eccentric bushes (5) and (4).
CAUTION:
WHEN YOU MOVE A HEAVY COMPONENT, DO NOT PUSH IT ALONG THE CABIN FLOOR OR LET IT RUB AGAINST THE FLOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AND/OR THE COMPONENT.
(6) Lift and move the lavatory assembly to the aft utility area. (7) Remove and discard the packings (1).
(8) Remove the bushes (2).
G. Lavatory Disassembly

CAUTION:
WHEN YOU MOVE A HEAVY COMPONENT, DO NOT PUSH IT ALONG THE CABIN FLOOR OR LET IT RUB AGAINST THE FLOOR. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AND/OR THE COMPONENT.
