   (1) Do the procedure to prevent engine motoring and to stop the electrical supply to the Electronic Engine Control (EEC)

B. Get Access
   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
451AL.
     (b) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
461AL.
4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 79-21-02-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Oil Control Module
   (1) Removal of the protection covers:
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that you remove the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
   (2) Find the oil control module (1) at the 9 o'clock position attached to the Main Gear Box (MGB).
   (3) Drain the oil (Ref. AMM TASK 79-00-00-680-801).
   (4) Remove the main oil temperature-probe (Ref. AMM TASK 79-32-21-000-801).
   (5) Remove the active oil damper-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-07-000-801).
   (6) Remove the main oil pressure-sensor (Ref. AMM TASK 79-33-21-000-801).
   (7) Remove the Low Oil Pressure (LOP) switch (Ref. AMM TASK 79-33-25-000-801).
   (8) Remove the fuel/oil heat-exchanger bypass-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-09-000-801).
   (9) Remove the tube (LP57) (11) from the oil control module (1) and the Air/Oil Heat Exchanger (AOHX) as follows:
     (a) Remove the (WC10) wiring harness (4011KS) and the (WC11) wiring harness (4072KS) from the spring clips of the two tubes (LP57) (11) and the spring clips of the three brackets (27).
     (b) Remove the three bolts (14) from the tube (LP57) (11) and the oil control module (1).
     (c) Remove the three bolts (14) and the bracket (27) from the tube (LP57) (11) and the AOHX.
     (d) Remove the tube (LP57) (11) and the two seals (12) from the engine.
   (10) Remove the tube (LP52) (13) from the oil control module (1) and the oil manifold as follows:
     (a) Remove the three bolts (14) from the tube (LP52) (13) and the oil control module (1).
     (b) Remove the bolt (17) from the clamp of the tube (LB64) and from the bracket (37).
     (c) Remove the three bolts (14) and the bracket (37) from the tube (LP52) (13) and the oil manifold.
     (d) Remove the tube (LP52) (13) and the two seals (12) from the engine.
   (11) Remove the tube (LP50) (15) from the oil control module (1) and the oil manifold as follows:
     (a) Remove the bolt (17) from the clamp (16) and the bracket.
     (b) Remove the three bolts (14) from the tube (LP50) (15) and the oil control module (1).
     (c) Remove the three bolts (14) from the tube (LP50) (15) and the oil manifold.
     (d) Remove the tube (LP50) (15) and the two seals (12) from the engine.
   (12) Disconnect the tube (LP40) from the oil control module (1).
   (13) Remove the bolt (17) from the clamp of the manifold (LB30).
   (14) Remove the tube (LB35) (47) and the brackets (48), (51) and (52) from the oil control module (1) as follows:
     (a) Remove the two bolts (49) and the bracket (52) from the oil control module (1).
     (b) Remove the two bolts (49) and the bracket (51) from the oil control module (1).
     (c) Remove the bolt (50), the two bolts (49) and the bracket (48) from the oil control module (1) and the MGB.
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
     (d) Remove the tube (LB35) (47) from the oil control module (1).
   (15) Remove the oil control module (1) from the MGB as follows:
     (a) Remove the bolt (66) from the clamp of the tube (LP33).
     (b) Remove the six bolts (50) and the bracket (62) from the two brackets, the tube plate and the oil control module (1).
     (c) Remove the six bolts (65) and the six washers (64) from the oil control module (1) and the MGB.
     (d) Remove the oil control module (1) and the face seals (63) and (67) from the MGB.
   (16) Do an inspection of the face seals (63) and (67) to find if it is possible to use them again (Ref. AMM TASK 79-21-02-400-801).
   (17) Installation of the protection covers:
CAUTION: INSTALL PROTECTION COVERS ON ALL THE OPENINGS IMMEDIATELY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
     (a) Make sure that you install the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
