WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 77-21-00-220-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Do an inspection of the Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) wiring harness (WC05) as follows:
(2) Disconnect the harness (WC05) from the T3 probe (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-000-802).
(3) Disconnect the harness (WC05) from the two left and right EGT T5 probes on the Turbine Exhaust Case (TEC) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-000-802).
(4) Do an inspection of the harness (WC05) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-200-805).
(5) Connect the harness (WC05) self-locking connector (P43) to the wiring harness (W03) receptacle (J43) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
(6) Connect the harness (WC05) to the T3 probe (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
(7) Connect the harness (WC05) to the two left and right EGT T5 probes (11) on the TEC (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
Subtask 77-21-00-220-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
DO NOT BEND OR TWIST THE HARNESS TOO MUCH. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE HARNESS CAN OCCUR.
(1) Disconnect the harness (WC05) self-locking connector (P43) from the wiring harness (W03) receptacle (J43) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-000-802). (2) Disconnect the harness (WC05) from the T3 probe (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-000-802).
(3) Disconnect the harness (WC05) from the two left and right EGT T5 probes on the Turbine Exhaust Case (TEC) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-000-802).
(4) Do an inspection of the harness (WC05) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-200-805).
(5) Connect the harness (WC05) self-locking connector (P43) to the wiring harness (W03) receptacle (J43) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
(6) Connect the harness (WC05) to the T3 probe (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
(7) Connect the harness (WC05) to the two left and right EGT T5 probes (11) on the TEC (Ref. AMM TASK 77-21-61-400-802).
B. Do the inspection of the T3 probe (1) as follows:
(1) Test the T3 probe (1) continuity and insulation resistance with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD. See Table 601

(2) Remove the T3 probe (1) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-24-000-801).
(3) If necessary, clean the T3 probe (1) as follows:
(a) Clean the exterior of the T3 probe (1) as follows:
1 Clean the surfaces of the T3 probe (1) with a solution of tap water and household detergent.
2 If necessary, clean the T3 probe (1) by SPOP 209 (Ref. AMM TASK 70-27-00-910-805) to remove stubborn deposits.
3 Use aP05-126 Brush, short bristle nylon to remove large amounts of dirt.
4 Rinse the T3 probe (1) thoroughly with clean tap water.
5 Dry the T3 probe (1) with AIR SOURCE FILTERED, DRY.
(b) Clean the terminal assembly of the T3 probe (1) as follows:
1 Use a lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) or non-abrasive cloth wet with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.P11-014) to wipe dust and dirt from the body of the terminal assembly.
2 Wipe dry with a clean and dry lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.P05-005) .
3 Remove dirt from the terminals with a Non-Metallic Soft Bristle Brush (Material No.P05-067) wet with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.P11-014) .
4 Dry the terminals with AIR SOURCE FILTERED, DRY.

3 Remove dirt from the terminals with a Non-Metallic Soft Bristle Brush (Material No.P05-067) wet with isopropyl alcohol (Material No.P11-014) .
4 Dry the terminals with AIR SOURCE FILTERED, DRY.
NOTE: The T3 probe may show signs of superficial corrosion due to tarnishing of the external surfaces. This condition is normal and does not affect the form, fit, or function of the probe. Cleaning and trying to remove the tarnish is not necessary.

(1) Test the EGT T5 probe (11) continuity and insulation resistance with a MULTIMETER - STANDARD. See Table 603

(3) If necessary, clean the EGT T5 probe(s) (11) as follows:

1 Clean the exterior surface with a solution of tap water and household detergent.
2 If necessary, clean the EGT T5 probe(s) (11) by SPOP 209 (Ref. AMM TASK 70-27-00-910-805) to remove stubborn deposits.
3 Use aP05-126 Brush, short bristle nylon to remove large amounts of dirt.
4 Rinse the EGT T5 probe (11) thoroughly with clean tap water.
