Subtask 57-26-13-420-056-B
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the bearing ball (2) and the bearing-halves (1).
NOTE: Make sure that the grease channels are clean, and clear of unwanted material.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Apply a thin layer Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) or Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) to the areas that follow:
  • the surface of the bearing ball (2)
  • the grease channels on the external surface of the bearing ball (2)
  • the grease channel on the internal surface of the bearing ball (2).
NOTE: For lubricant grease specification and lubrication requirements, refer to (Ref. AMM D/O 12-22-00-00).
NOTE: You can use Synthetic Oil base Grease-General Purpose Lithium Thickened Low Temp. - (Material No.03GBC1) as an alternative to Synthetic Ester base Grease-General Purpose Low Temp - (Material No.03HBD9) . It is necessary to clean and remove the grease from the parts before you use an alternative grease.
NOTE: Make sure that all the grease channels are filled with grease.
