3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-26-13-941-053-A

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
(2) Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001) and the landing gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear bay, zone 571 (671).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position below the applicable main landing gear.
(2) Make sure that the applicable MLG actuating cylinder has been removed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-46-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 57-26-13-560-051-B

A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(2) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) , made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean the edges of the bush (3) and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Apply a layer of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the edges of the bush (3).

B. Installation of the Bearing Assembly
(1) If removed, install the spacer washer as installed in the SRM 572613.
(2) Install the special washer (2) and the bearing assembly (1) in the actuator attachment bracket.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE SPECIAL WASHER AND THE ACTUATOR ATTACHMENT BRACKET. IF YOU FIND CLEARANCE, YOU MUST CONTACT AIRBUS.

(3) Make sure that the special washer (2) is correctly installed on the lug of the actuator attachment bracket.

Installation Details of the Special Washer ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(4) Clean the special washer (2) and the bearing assembly (1) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(5) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the special washer (2) and the housing of the bearing assembly (1).
(6) Install the new AIPC 57-26-13-01-030 TAB WASHER (4).
(7) Make sure that the tab washer (4) is correctly installed.

NOTE: The tab of the tab washer (4) safeties the special nut (5).

(8) Use the 98D57004081000 SPANNER-R I BEARING to install the special nut (5). TORQUE the special nut (5) to between 4.5 and 4.0 m.daN (33.19 and 29.50 lbf.ft )

(9) Safety the special nut (5) with the tab washer (4).
(10) Clean the component interfaces as follows:
(a) Use a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean these component and their adjacent area:

The edges of the special nut (5).
The tab washer (4).

(11) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the special nut (5) and the tab washer (4).

Subtask 57-26-13-420-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS NO CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE SPECIAL WASHER AND THE ACTUATOR ATTACHMENT BRACKET. IF YOU FIND CLEARANCE, YOU MUST CONTACT AIRBUS.

(3) Make sure that the special washer (2) is correctly located on the lug of the actuator attachment bracket.

Installation Details of the Special Washer ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(4) Clean the special washer (2) and the bearing assembly (1) with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
(5) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the special washer (2) and the housing of the bearing assembly (1).
(6) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the new AIPC 57-26-13-01-055 INTERFACE WASHER (4).
(7) Install the interface washer (4).
(8) Install the new AIPC 57-26-13-01-030 TAB WASHER (5).
(9) Make sure that the tab washer (5) is correctly installed.

NOTE: The tab of the tab washer (5) is used to safety the special nut (6).

(10) Use the 98D57004081000 SPANNER-R I BEARING to install the special nut (6). TORQUE the special nut (6) to between 4.5 and 4.0 m.daN (33.19 and 29.50 lbf.ft )

(11) Safety the special nut (6) with the tab washer (5).
(12) Clean the component interfaces as follows:
(a) Clean the edge of the special nut (6), the tab washer (5) and the adjacent areas with:

A clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .

(13) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.06AAB1) around the special nut (6) and the tab washer (5).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the MLG actuating cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-46-400-001).

B. Removal of Equipment
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the safety barriers.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
