Subtask 54-50-00-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-50-00-040-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-50-00-040-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-50-00-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zones 410 and 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zones 420 and 480.
(2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL and 415BL
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL and 425BL.
(3) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(4) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471BL 475AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423FL 481AL 485AL.
Subtask 54-50-00-010-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:

(2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):

(3) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(4) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 471AL 471BL 475AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423FL 481AL 485AL.
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zones 410 and 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zones 420 and 480.
(2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors
(Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL and 415BL
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL and 425BL.
(3) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(4) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left Pylon: 471BL 471CL 475AL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL 485AL.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zones 410 and 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zones 420 and 480.
(2) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors
(Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL and 415BL
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL and 425BL.
(3) Remove the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-000-002):
(a) For the left pylon: 413AL
(b) For the right pylon: 423AL.
(4) Remove the pylon-to-wing access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-53-11-000-002):
(a) For the left Pylon: 471BL 471CL 475AL
(b) For the right pylon: 481BL 485AL.
Subtask 54-50-00-210-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection of the Pylon Drains
(1) Inspection of the pylon drains:
(a) Examine the drain inlets.
(b) Make sure that the drain inlets are not blocked. Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE, if necessary.
(c) Examine the lines to make sure that there are no cracks, marks, corrosion or other damage.
(d) Make sure that the lines are correctly attached.
5. Close-up(1) Inspection of the pylon drains:
(a) Examine the drain inlets.
(b) Make sure that the drain inlets are not blocked. Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION, FLEXIBLE, if necessary.
(c) Examine the lines to make sure that there are no cracks, marks, corrosion or other damage.
(d) Make sure that the lines are correctly attached.

A. Installation of the Access Panels
(1) Install the access panels (Ref. AMM TASK 54-52-11-400-002):
