B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-51-21-040-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-040-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-040-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). D. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position:
(a) At zone 410 for the left pylon
(b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position:
(a) At zone 410 for the left pylon
(b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
Subtask 54-51-21-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Pylon Lateral Access-Doors
(1) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (1) and remove the screws (3), the washers (2) and the pylon lateral access-door (1).
(2) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (5) and remove the screws (4) and the pylon lateral access-door (5).
Subtask 54-51-21-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (1) and remove the screws (3), the washers (2) and the pylon lateral access-door (1).
(2) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (5) and remove the screws (4) and the pylon lateral access-door (5).
A. Removal of the Pylon Lateral Access-Doors
(1) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (3) and remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).
(b) Remove the spring pin (5), the captive screw (6), the washer (4) and the pylon lateral access-door (3).
(2) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (8) and remove the screws (7) and the pylon lateral access-door (8).
(1) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (3) and remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).
(b) Remove the spring pin (5), the captive screw (6), the washer (4) and the pylon lateral access-door (3).
(2) Remove pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Hold the pylon lateral access-door (8) and remove the screws (7) and the pylon lateral access-door (8).
