Subtask 54-51-21-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position:
(a) At zone 410 for the left pylon
(b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position:
(a) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU
(b) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU.
Subtask 54-51-21-040-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position:
(a) At zone 410 for the left pylon
(b) At zone 420 for the right pylon.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position:
(a) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU
(b) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU.
B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-51-21-040-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser

MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.

(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

A. Installation of the Pylon Lateral Access-Doors
(1) Install pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Put the pylon lateral access-door (1) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
(b) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

(2) Install pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Put the pylon lateral access-door (5) in position and install the screws (4).
(b) TORQUE the screws (4) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

(a) Put the pylon lateral access-door (1) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
(b) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

(a) Put the pylon lateral access-door (5) in position and install the screws (4).

(1) Install pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Install the washer (4) and the captive screw (6) on the pylon lateral access-door (3).
(b) TORQUE the captive screw (6) to between 2.24 and 1.79 m.daN (16.52 and 13.20 lbf.ft )

(c) Install the spring pin (5).
(d) Put the pylon lateral access-door (3) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (1).
(e) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

(2) Install pylon lateral access-door 415AL:
(a) Put the pylon lateral access-door (8) in position and install the screws (7).
(b) TORQUE the screws (7) to between 1.06 and 0.82 m.daN (93.81 and 72.57 lbf.in )

5. Close-up(1) Install pylon lateral access-door 415BL:
(a) Install the washer (4) and the captive screw (6) on the pylon lateral access-door (3).
(b) TORQUE the captive screw (6) to between 2.24 and 1.79 m.daN (16.52 and 13.20 lbf.ft )
