A. Installation of the Bleed-Air Precooler Exchanger
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Make sure that the surface of the seal (2) that touches the channel (3) is in the correct position.
(5) Install the new AIPC 36-11-06-01-320 SEAL (2) on the lower section of the precooler (5).
(6) Install the new AIPC 36-11-06-01-315 SEAL (8) on the upper section of the precooler (5).
(7) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(8) Install the precooler (5) with its new seals (2) and (8) on the inlet (3).
(9) Make sure that the precooler (5) is in the correct position in relation to the pneumatic lines.
(10) Install the clamps (1) and (4) and torque to the values given on the clamps.
Subtask 36-11-42-720-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
- For GTCP 36-300 APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86)
- For APS 3200 APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006)

(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
(3) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(4) Make sure that the surface of the seal (2) that touches the channel (3) is in the correct position.
(5) Install the new AIPC 36-11-06-01-320 SEAL (2) on the lower section of the precooler (5).

(10) Install the clamps (1) and (4) and torque to the values given on the clamps.
B. Do this test.
(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-002) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
(2) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, set the X BLEED selector to OPEN.
(3) If you pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector, the supplied pressure 30 psi (2.07 bar) must be stable.
(4) Make sure that there are no leaks at the junctions upstream and downstream of the precooler exchanger on the related engine.
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the bleed system through the HP ground connector (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-002) or with the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-860-001).
