A. Safety Precautions

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FWD AVIONICS ACCESS DOOR 811 IS OPEN WITH A WARNING PLACARD ATTACHED TO IT. THE WARNING NOTICE MUST TELL PERSONS NOT TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THIS PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL PRESSURIZATION OF THE AIRCRAFT.

(1) When you operate the air condioning make sure that the access door 811 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(2) Install a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 811 to tell persons not to close the access door 811.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:

Release the PACK 1 and PACK 2 P/BSWs to off (the OFF legends come on)
Make sure that the X-bleed selector switch is in the AUTO position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 36-12-00-869-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Pressurization of the Bleed System with the APU
(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005).

NOTE: After the APU starts, Airbus recommends you to wait for a minimum of 3 minutes for the warm up period, before you select the APU BLEED.

(2) On AIR COND overhead panel 30VU, push the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch to ON (the ON legend comes on).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the BLEED key (the BLEED page comes into view).
(4) On the AIR BLEED page of the ECAM lower DU, make sure that all indications shown are normal (i.e. green indication).
(5) When the pressurization of the bleed system is no longer necessary:

On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU, release the APU BLEED pushbutton-switch to off (the ON legend goes off)
Shutdown the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006).

Subtask 36-12-00-869-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Pressurization of the Bleed System with the APU
(1) Start and operate the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).

NOTE: After the APU starts, Airbus recommends you to wait for a minimum of 3 minutes of warm up period before you select the APU BLEED.

(2) On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU, push the APU BLEED P/BSW to ON (the ON legend comes on).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the APU key (the APU page comes into view).
(4) On the AIR BLEED page of the ECAM lower DU, make sure that all indications shown are normal (i.e. green indication).
(5) When the pressurization of the bleed system is no longer necessary:

On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU, release the APU BLEED P/BSW to off (the ON legend goes off)
Shutdown the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).

Subtask 36-12-00-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the AIR COND overhead panel 30VU:

Push the PACK 1 and PACK 2 P/BSWs to ON (the OFF legends goes OFF)
Make sure that the X-bleed selector switch is in the AUTO position.

(2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(4) If the access door 811 is open:

Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Close the access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
