Subtask 32-12-00-020-067-B
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE LANDING GEAR DOORS ARE CLEAR.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
A. Deactivation of the MLG Ground Door Opening-Cable
NOTE: The defective cable can be removed or can stay with the cable ends disconnected from the control handle and bypass valve. If disconnected, the cable ends must be safetied correctly.
   (1) Remove the defective cable (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-16-000-001), or disconnect the cable ends as follows:
     (a) Disconnect the cable end (2) from the control handle as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (5).
2 Remove the nut (4), the washer (3) and the bolt (1).
3 Remove the cable end (2) from the control handle.
4 Safety the cable end (2) in position with the TIE WRAP.
     (b) Disconnect the cable end (6) from the bypass valve as follows:
1 Remove and discard the cotter pin (8).
2 Remove the nut (7), the washer (9), the bush (11) and the bolt (12).
3 Remove the cable end (6) from the bypass valve operating-lever (10).
4 Safety the cable end (6) in position with the TIE WRAP.
   (2) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is installed on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Disconnect the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder from the MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-31-35-000-001).

     (a) On panel 110VU:
1 Turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle three full turns counterclockwise at a rate of one full turn in five seconds.
2 Fold the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle into the center console.
3 Make sure that the applicable MLG door are closed and locked.
   (8) Make sure that the bypass valve operating-lever (10) is in the correct position as follows:
     (a) Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the rigging pin holes in the operating lever (10) and the bypass valve.
     (b) If 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN installation is not possible (because the rigging pin holes in the operating lever (10) and the bypass valve are not aligned), do the steps that follow:
1 Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 1GA
  • 52GA
  • 58GA.
2 Manually move the operating lever (10) until the rigging pin holes in the operating lever (10) and the bypass valve are aligned.
3 Put the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN through the rigging pin holes in the operating lever (10) and the bypass valve.
4 Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
  • 1GA
  • 52GA
  • 58GA.
     (c) Remove the 98DNSA20208040 RIGGING PIN.
     (d) Safety the operating lever (10) in the rigged position with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - as follows:
1 Make sure that the rigging pin holes in the operating lever (10) and the bypass valve are aligned.
2 Make a loop of the lockwire around the union of port A.
3 Do the lockwire routing behind the unions and then above the union of port B.
4 Make a loop of the lockwire through the rigging pin hole of the operating lever (10).
5 Do the lockwire routing above the union of port B. Make one more loop of the lockwire around the union of port A.
6 Make a last loop of the lockwire through the rigging pin hole and safety the operating lever (10).
7 If necessary, cut and discard the unwanted length of the lockwire.
   (9) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (10) On panel 110VU, turn the GRAVITY GEAR EXTN handle clockwise two full turns.
